Everyone knows that Venice is the richest and that its Ducats are worth more than a Pise.
Also, pise is a damn biased name, who would use a biased coin?
On contrary,the Ducat,do you hear it,Duuuucaaat.
No,no mentioning of Venice there.
A totally unbiased coin.

Everybody else is using Florins.
That's a biased name.
Get with it, use a biased name :lol2:

It was only used since 1252.

TO BE FINAL: There was no single currency. Gold and silver were most common, and different states minted their own coins. It didn't matter if you got Spanish gold in France because they would just use it or smelt it into French coins.

There were some major currencies that were widely accepted. I'm trying to propel Pisa into the proprietor of one of them.

The Pises and the Septim coins will be dominant in France. The Septim will be the new coin in France and Alleniana I propose we fully ally together. That we become a client Kingdom and combine our strength. We will still hold our sovereignty but our people, armies, navies, and resources will be combined.

Then Titus had all the gold and silver coins in France melted down and had a new currency instated as fast as possible, the septim. The new septim would be in silver which was worth 3 florins, and the gold septim, which was worth 5 florins. Titus would let this currency be used by the Pisans, Aragonese, and the English. France was on a path out of its depression and recession. The economy, thanks to the Pisan help, was beginning to heal and the paved roads would help merchants, peasants, soldiers, and everyone travel faster and encourage much needed growth around France. Then Titus drawed out the rest of the 10,000 militia and had them help the farmers and agricultural workers around France rebuild their homes, harvest their crops, and expand their farms. Titus then sent a messenger to the Pope inviting him to the coronation and Titus had the gold crown Murgo brought fitted for him, it would be the new crown of french Kings'.

Sorry, but there are a couple issues.

1)
You dont have any ships:
Valentir wrote:Then he disbanded all French Ships /quote]
2)
How the heck did you fit mangonel into towers.
3)
How fast did you fortify Marseilles?
4)
Sea gate?
The closest thing to that was the byzantine chain.
It was considered a mastership of engineering, you wouldnt be able to simply build such a thing.
5)
That may be the offical exchange rates, but the de facto ones, would be dependent on the amount of precious metals in the coins, which usually was checked by weight.

These were the OP-issues.

1) Marseilles is still under construction, I stated that, it isn't done yet
2)The sea wall will not be constructed as fast and it will take like for France, 20 years to complete but we can do it, but very slowly
3)Yes the currency values I stated are official exchange rates, the de facto ones are weighed by the amount of Gold and silver yes, I do not see the problem there
4)There are smaller versions of Mangonels that do fit in towers, they are not as effective as the bigger versions though
5)Meh, I keep forgetting I disbanded my damn navy, then they will be under construction then, anything else?

I'm a bit annoyed that you want to trade with so bad. I mean you want to trade but then if you go to war with me and I destroy your land force I win because I closed off all rivers in France that connect to the Mediterranean. Like you can trade with other people. This is what happened with Pisa. And if I do win on land and we make a treaty I will not trade with you at all. So its a 70% to 20% chance this could go your way and the 70% is me. So do what you want but Titus bends his knee to only God and the Pope.

Wrong.
You thought in the right direction, but didnt finish the thought.
Why do I need to invade you.
I can simply blockade your trade.
I mean, think of all your borders:

-HRE- war,no trade.
-England- neutral,some trade.
-Sea-blockaded,no trade.
-Aragon-somewhere between enemy and neutral(at least as god as I follow),god relations and influence of Venice,low-to-no trade.(this may be wrong if I missunderstood your relations).

Nothing else left.
That means that if I blockade the small piece of coast you still have, france will be more or less stuck, without trade our foreign goods.
I assume you still remember the conversation we(you, alleniana,me) had here about goods and sieges....
Thats not much time for france in such a case,
considering that some of these goods would either come by sea or from the HRE.....
I wouldnt give france more than half a year to brake in such conditions.

You forget that all we need is basic supplies we can produce our selves. And if you really want trade make me an offer instead of being some big shot with a good navy, Titus hates big shots and so do I personally, very personally in fact. And we can trade by land with Pisa and I can smuggle in supplies and I can increase my relations with England if I really needed to. and if you are so bent on subduing me then just try already. France produces timber, iron, coal, cattle, wine, all sorts of food, we have small to medium stockpiles of everything we need, we also produce stone, marble, silk, and lots and lots of wheat which is what we really need.

Do you mean OOCly? I often do too.But this is IC,dont mix them.
Land trade is slow.
And I could blockade pisa too, thanks to you reducing your own coast.
From where?
Well, for that england needs to reappear first.
I dont want to subdue you.I want the treaty back, not more, not less.
Yes,to all of them, except "which is what we really need",which is wrong.
There is one thing missing.
Salt.
Without salt you wont survive through a full winter,as it was used to conserve food.

Almost all.
I dont want simply trade.I want restoration.Status Quo.

You want your merchants back in our ports. well I will not bring back that treaty because it is biased. But I will let your merchants back in but like everyone else except Pisa they will have to pay the higher prices and obey French Laws. And the old houses for your merchants belong to Pisa now actually. and on the salt issue I can pay Aragon a nice amount or help the Almohads for a nice deal. Or I can ask England if I can send my merchants to england where they can make salt. So what are you going to do?

'course its biased.
Its a surrender treaty.
Wanna have a bidding race with aragon.....
The almohads have been pushed south - It'd take some time for them to reach up to your border.
Again - money against money,I can agree on buying the salt for higher prices.Lets see whom england agrees to.
Hunger France out.
In the long run, without salt, you're dead.

Ok I have had enough, you want to have your merchants in my ports, FINE, but nothing else, there will be no price bargains and you will pay the same rates everyone else pays. I will not give you a special deal just because you threaten me "Oh I'm gonna starve out France". Jesus!!!!!!!! You are really annoying with this GRAND fleet stuff and you really want me to trade with you because you have a navy and I don't, NO!!!! You can have your merchants in France or not, thats it. No bargains, no price reductions, no special treatment. You can wait in line with everyone else and pay the price. Your call now.
