And venice´s troops could be back home fast.
In the last post of them, they were boarding the ships.
I still have my small scouting fleet in greece.
They would notice larger fleet movements, alert the crusaders, then the Venetians would immideatly sail back.
Then, the first one to reach Venice, the pact or the mercenaries, would probably get it.

Ha, I'm not worried about Venice's soldiers. They could raise maybe ten thousands on a good day, and maybe double that using mercenaries if their treasury was full. It is not, and fofteen thousands is only slightly more than three Russian Great Companies.

That's quite alright. My own line of advance is going to be south-west from Volgograd, along the north shore of the great lake there to Volgodonsk. Soldiers are going to be landed in three posts at Azov, and will advance east and north to link up with my main army deployed in the Khagantes, theoretically splitting the Kiphaks in two.
