After the EU seperated, France believed it had old scores to settle, the Iberians in the South had been a thorn in their side once before, no longer, France was ready to invade and reclaim what Napoleon had lost.The French crave for the empire to be reborn in fire, they will dream of retaking Africa, Indochina, Madagascar...and perhaps Louisiana, Canada, but those are ambitions that would only come if they fought for it. A few months after the EU seperated, the French embarked on a "Civil War" with the Imperialist Tyrol Lafayette winning, as promising the people glory once more. Stabilising the economy from the dreaded Euro, and making unemployment rates go down, and the standard of living go up, all swung the balance in Tyrol's favour. The French do want to EU to return though, they have been in talks with the Germans over the few months and are trying to see if they can work something out. The French army, navy and airforce have all been improved, training has begun again, ships repaired and rearmed and new planes and tanks are being pumped out of the factories.

I think it would be accepted but please dont make this over imperilaistic where we see French attacking Canada.Maybe as propaganda to get to power and attacking Iberia for the oils of the region or whatever would be enough.Control over N.Africa would make more sense.
