1950 (OOC, Closed)(RP Still Going)
Posted: Tue Jan 15, 2013 5:49 pmThe year is 1950. Tensions between the USSR and US are at an all-time high, and global thermonuclear war seems right around the corner. NATO and the Eastern Bloc are practically at each other's throats, and nations around the globe are preparing for what seems inevitable. The world is set for war, but there was a lot more going on behind the scenes...
Sound interesting? I thought so! This is an alternate reality RP, where history remains exactly the same up until 00:00, January 1, 1950. As this is an ARRP, there are no events taking place in 1950 or afterward that must or even will happen in the RP. Here are some basic rules:
-Be civil. Flaming is allowed as long as it is completely IC (FDR can call Stalin an idiot, but Bigtopia [RP'er of FDR] can't call Blackmoor [RP'er of Stalin] an idiot).
-Be realistic. Whilst a massive spy attack may be realistic, a massive spy attack that involves Stalin as a puppet spy and where Putin is actually British is not.
-Absolutely NO godmodding. Once is OK. It will be retconed and you will be warned. Twice and you're banned.
-If I say you're out, you're out. This goes for any RP, but I'm just making it known now.
And here are some basic mechanics:
-One day will be equal to no less than four posts, but if things calm down (for example, in 1955) I may say that the four post limit is reduced to four posts per six months.
-Random events: I decide who, what, when, where, why, and how they will happen.
-Declarations of war MUST be justified. There is a UN for a reason.
-This RP will never end as long as there are RP'ers.
-I'm starting as the USSR...
