The stats say nothing about armor plating. And frankly, if you are putting armor on a chopper, it is not going to move faster than 100kph.

3 inches light composites are fairly standard
Transport helis are armored, not big surprise.

Assuming you base your planes in Hong Kong (unlikely), that is a 2000 mile roundtrip over enemy territory without refueling.
