Roses and Rifles
An Alternate World Role-play by Multiverse Role-play Productions
The World Map
Welcome to a brand new role-play, with a completely original plot. Let me, Keystone, start off by saying this, none of the following was copied in anyway from any role-plays in the NS world, if so, it was by complete coincidence. Now, for the plot.
In this Alternate World Role-Play, you will play as a nation of your own, one that you make from scratch. You will create your nation's history, culture, political system, everything from a blank slate with all land up for grabs. The date is set in the year 1900, a year of great cultural and economic change in many nations. In saying that, you will have to establish your technological traits. For this, I give you the point system, which I personally have developed, again, not copied from other role-plays.
The points system for Roses and Rifles is quite simple when you take the time to look it over. You have 51 points to add to a list of 8 traits of your country. First is your technological rating, your technological rating, is how well your nation can research, develop, and mass produce modern technology. Second is your diplomacy rating, your diplomacy rating is how well your nation's diplomats can develop relationships with other nations. Third, your navy rating, this is how developed your navy is and how well they can respond to a threat as well as how expansive it is. Fourth and fifth is your army and air force ratings, which also how developed, reactionary, and expansive they are. Sixth is the cultural rating, or how unique your culture is compared to other nations. Seventh, is your economic ability, keep in mind that your military ratings will have to be at least two less then this rating. Last but not least, is your leadership rating, or how well your leader can control his/her people and how well they respond to diplomatic events.

London, once the prim gem of the British nation, has fallen to the second coming of the plague, as the sun rises over the once great city, the dead litter the streets, cars abandoned in the middle of the roads, shops looted, the smell of rotting flesh and blood, the people of London weren't prepared for it, the police and military was quickly overrun in a matter of hours, unable to hold back the relentless hordes of the Infected, They were unstoppable, they now own the streets, survivors are now in their territory, the odds stacked against them, every day of scavenging is a suicide mission just for the last scraps of supplies, alliances between survivors are fragile, constantly breaking under the massive pressure of the new world, Britain has entered a new dark age. An age of hatred and suffering, it's not a question of if you’ll survive, its how long.
A unlikely group of survivors came together to face the new world, set up a safe house, however, with little to no supplies the group forced to scavage daily, however, they do have one thing going for them, they have a fortress, a place that can and will keep the infected at bay, a safe haven that will shelter them from the harsh outside.
Where is this you may ask.
Buckingham palace.
A once thought to be an unlikely place, Buckingham Palace is an almost impenetrable fortress, steel defense shutters, shatterproof windows, reinforced window frames, state of the art panic rooms. Twenty four hour CTVV, the new state of the art surety systems were designed after the attempted bomb attack on the prestigious building. Although the residents of the building were evacuated, most of their belongings remain there, untouched by looters.
But once the system closes, it remains shut, they are able to get out via a sewer escape hatch, with almost no supplies inside, the survivors will have to venture out, find supplies and possibly even find out what's caused this? They will also be meeting a few fellows on the way..
How long will you survive?

The infected.
They are everywhere, in every street, in every house, in every run down apartment, however, there are different types of them but before that we must start with the basic’s.
The infected spread the plague via bodily fluids (mainly saliva) and blood, it's a hundred percent transferable that way, so don’t let any of them bite you?
They seem to share the same characteristics in appearance, pale or gray skin (depends on the time of infection), the infected pupils seem to change to a grayish color.
They still have of the signatory functions except from smell, their vision is weaker however they're hearing are unmatched in close quarters, however, they are easily distracted by moving objects and loud noises.
For some unknown reason, they can only be killed with the destruction of their brain, so aim for the head, it's the only way to kill ‘em, they’ll just keep coming otherwise.
Now on to the infected types, the color given to them to represent how ‘rare’ it is to encounter one.
Green (common) yellow (uncommon) orange (rare-ish) red (rare) pink (extremely rare)
‘Walkers’ – also known as Shambler, geek, Zed.
Your standard infected, they are almost everywhere and there groans can be heard everywhere, as the name suggests, they are slow but they can give you a fair chase, however seem to possess quite the bit of strength, overall dealing with one is easy, dealing with a horde is nearly impossible, remember, you aren’t Rambo, so if you want to survive, know when to bug out.
Runners – also known as sprinters, jocks, buggers.
As the name suggests again, they run fast and over all pack a punch, they are extremely dangerous in confined spaces, however, the con they have is that you don’t need to destroy the brain.
Stalkers – also known as hunters, creepers, sneakily Bast*@ts
Stalkers seem to be a lot smarter than the others, they stalk their victims from afar rather that charging in and attacking, and they also seem to know when to retreat.
Screamers – also known as banshees, yellers, wivies.
Screamers seem to be all most always women, instead of directly attacking, they let out a blood curdling scream that alerts others to your presence. Avoid these at all costs.
The big one
Although nothing much is known about this one, there have been several reports of a large infected baring almost impossible levels of strength, however, these can be blown off as tall tales... But is it?
Combat etiquette.
Since this is based in London, firearms are going to be extremely rare, and ammo being even more rare.
Combat etiquette.
No one shoting – example John doe smashed the zombie's skull with the hammer - . It makes it a really boring read, and realistically, it is unlikely that you would be able to kill an infected with one hit.
Weapons deteriorate – melee weapons will eventually begin to break under the pressure, bats will begin to splinter, metal weapons will begin to bend out of place, the blades will begin to chip, until they eventually become ineffective.
You are not going to hit the target dead on every time, you will miss at points, this includes melee weapons.
