Well, part of the way up was the plan. Or at least into it.

You're not even going to get part of the way up in one action. It's a complete dungeon with a full map. You must explore it. That's what dungeon delving adventuring is about. The most you can do in one action is open the door.

If by "like Scruffy" you mean "an eldritch abomination," then no. He's quite literally a "miniature giant space hamster." See, the gnomes like to power their machines with hamster wheels, so when they decided to start building space ships, they bred giant space hamsters to run on giant hamster wheels. Unfortunately, they ended up bringing about the extinction of regular hamsters, so they bred miniature versions of the giant space hamsters to replace the original ones.
