Elder Scrolls: Second Era
The IC
Well, I thought it would be pretty awesome if we had a TES RP set in the past, with some interesting events going on, and an area of the Elder Scrolls time-line I don't believe I've seen covered before in an RP.
In the year eight-hundred and forty of the Second Era, chaos, war and struggle reign. At this time, the man who would become known as Talos, or Uriel Septim, is only ten.
Previously, the Cyrodilic Empire had been a force of great power for the first four hundred and thirty years of the Era, under the rule of the Akaviri Potentates. Though alien to Imperial culture, they established some of the great traditions of Tamriel, granting charters to organizations such as the Fighters' Guild and the Mages Guild. Another sign of peace and prosperity occurred in the year 2E 309, when Elsweyr was created by the union of the two Khajiit tribelands, Anequina and Pellitine. But outside of the Empire's borders many conflicting forces drive for the Imperial throne like the Daggerfall Covenant and Aldmeri Dominion.
When the last Potentate, Savirien-Chorak, was assassinated in 2E 430, leaving no heirs, the great Empire was finally destroyed. Black Marsh forcibly split from the lands of men, as the Knahaten Flu made the land uninhabitable to all but the Argonians themselves. Akavir once again invaded Tamriel, and was barely rebuffed after attacking Morrowind in 2E 572. From one end of the continent to the other, war and rebellion struck at the heart of every great tradition of the land.
The first sign of reunification occurred in the west. The Altmer of Summerset, long concerned with their own wars with other island kingdoms, allied with Valenwood to form the Aldmeri Dominion for their common good.
Now, a troubled land indeed stirs. Many factions seek to undermine, conquer and reign supreme over others. Is it simply a matter of time before someone unites the shattered remnants of an old empire? Or will powerful and ambitious forces that had always sought to rule over Tamriel come from outside Cyrodiil itself?
Just in case you aren't aware of some of the lore:

Biography: Born to a rich noble family in a castle northeast of Daggerfall, in 320 of the Second Era, he went on quite a number of adventures throughout Tamriel, in time. He became an accomplished swordsman and sorcerer during his travails, though he ended up seeming to acquire some powerful enemies. He was defeated long ago in his castle, by a surprise night attack; of black armoured warriors led by a vampire sorceress, in which he died, but was resurrected by Vaermina, who saw some purpose in his continued existence. He was trapped in Quagmire(her realm), for several centuries- losing some sanity in the process, until now, where she released him near the ruins of Glenvar, where he recently sought to find a purpose. Caladan has plans to create a faction of his own in time, but has yet to implement certain things. So far, he's managed to create a mercenary company, situated in Skyrim, which is where he has moved to. Having managed to build the force surprisingly rapidly, he has it numbering at several thousand men- with six hundred of those who are the elite, known as The Avowed, with an oath of fealty that magically binds them to Caladan. These Avowed gained unnaturally long life, strength, speed, and regenerative attributes in return for their oath, and they were the first six hundred who came to serve Caladan. The company is known as the Crimson Guard. With it, he intends to see certain designs of his, completed upon Tamriel. For further information, the Crimson Guard is divided into four companies, each of which contain a number of "blades", or squads.
He holds a vendetta against vampires, for he had a number of other encounters with them, and as such; fears them somewhat. Also, his blade, Stormbringer was forged long ago: Stormbringer, the dread blade of house Velaryon, the blade that was said to have been driven into the ground upon which Glenvar castle was built, by the god of war, Reymon Ebonarm, still worshipped in shrines along liliac bay , also called simply Ebonarm or the Black Knight, and enchanted by several other gods and daedra at the time the Admantine tower, also known as the Direnni tower, Ur-tower, and Ada-mantia on the Isle of Balferia in the Iliac Bay was still in use. The tower was said to have been built at ME 2500, making it the oldest known structure in Tamriel. and its depths have never been thoroughly explored. According to the library Caladan had read his way through in Glenvar Castle, the Direnni Tower was created by the Aedra for a place of discussing the creation of Mundus.
