The Warriors of the Kush
Hello, and welcome to my first role-play on the Portal to the Multiverse. Recently I have been participating in many role-plays thus expanding my knowledge of the subject. In this role-play I hope to entertain those of you who are interested with action, adventure, and suspense as your unit of U.S. Army Rangers, U.S. Marines, Taliban, or Al Qaeda foot-mobiles, advance on each other in the hopes of winning the Mountains of the Hindu Kush.
For those of you who don't know, the Hindu Kush mountains are located in central Afghanistan and stretches into Nepal, India, and China. The Hindu Kush is one of the single deadliest places in Afghanistan being one of the largest causes to American deaths. It is a known place for seismic activity and the Taliban own the entire place. Americans were deployed there to keep the Taliban from expanding and hurting their movement on the area. They set up CPs or command posts all over the mountains, in which were terrorized by Taliban forces, but the Americans never gave up. They continue to fight off the Taliban and the Al Qaeda til’ today. So if you could please, just stop reading for a second to think of the actual brave heroes serving for freedom overseas. Let's have this role-play dedicated to them if that's okay.
There will be 5 groups in which you can join in this role-play. The first being the Taliban and Al Qaeda, both very well knowledgeable of the surrounding terrain; they are experts at climbing the surrounding mountains and traversing through them without giving so much as a tip to the US forces. They are mostly armed with AK-47s, AK-74s and the like; however they also on rare occasions have access to things such as NVGs (Night Vision Goggles) along with Rocket Propelled Grenades, most of you who know your history and wars should understand. Secondly there are the U.S. Marines, the Army Rangers, and the Afghan Military; the U.S. forces have the same equipment and knowledge. The best knowledge they have of the terrain are maps and GPS, given to them before deployment. They have limited access to drones, air-strikes, etc, things that the Taliban are prone to, when a unit radios in that they need air-support, I will be controlling the HQ or 'Overlord'. They armament consists of M4A1s, M9s, SAWs, etc; you know the usual things of a soldier. You'll get to choose your class, weapon, etc, which will be approved by me. The Afghan Army will be armed with weapons provided by the U.S. military, therefore, they may choose either weapons of the Afghan military or the U.S. military, it is up to the applicants choice. They know the surrounding territory just as great as the Taliban and Al Qaeda and they also know how to navigate through the surrounding mountains and valleys of the Kush.
Just a side note: I will be making NPC villages, along with random events happening to both sides. Now, on to applications!
