No, oh no. Not at all. Actually, my plans are optimistic, as far as things go.

But in an atheistic view of the world - which is the one Night and I have applied to the Omniverse, to some extent - life isn't important at all. We manage to luck ourselves into existence, only to be rended away by gases and stars and black holes. We matter only to ourselves. We do not change the universe and its workings. We're no hydrogen, we're a combination of things that easily collapses back into the basic elements.

But who says that's bad?
