He is based off Paradise Lost. I even titled one of the oneshots after that.

Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

I'm totally not saying this because I'm building up a quest for next arc which involves him in an important starring role. Nope. Totally not.
I think it's an unoriginal, though well-executed spin on a traditionally evil character.

Because "I MURDER PEOPLE BECAUSE IT'S FUN!" is a valid motive for the guy who rebelled against Uriel.
"I had the best intentions" villains are common and certainly not bullshit. Why? Because that's how people actually work. A villain like Azazel isn't threatening - he's a monster, kill him off. Someone like Lucifer? Hell, that could easily be Crowley tomorrow.

As funny as it might be for a devout Mormon to say this, I like your Lucifer character. I think his actions are justifiable because of how his world is.

I figured that.
Sometimes people don't have good intentions. Sometimes they just want to make people suffer, for shits and giggles, like Azazel. But instead of a complex, evil Lucifer, we get 'I fell in love and tried to help everyone', morally well-intentioned Lucifer.

I mean, I can't even fathom how layered "I like pain" is.

I'll be honest.
I have always found, as have many throughout the centuries, Lucifer to be a fascinating character. He's interesting. I first came to know him as Iblis, the jinn who rebelled against Allah. That shit, in my brain, was amazing. Then I came to know Lucifer as well later in life.
So while he's morally well-intentioned, I changed something in the classic stories I had been told- Iblis rebelled against God because of his contempt for humanity and Earth and belief that jinn and angels were superior.
My Lucifer rebelled because he loved them more than any character in this rp.

After I read this post I realised the absurd amount of shit I subconciously put in here.
