"I'm not who you think I am." the masked man said, staring at Lucifer. Lucifer looked up in surprise. He had thinking over his thoughts while watching Heaven burn.

"I'm not sure who you are." he said cautiously.

The man didn't answer, simply gesturing toward Heaven. "To them, you're a liar and a killer. You're tainted, forever." he said.

"Stop avoiding my question. What are you?"

"Well Lucifer, some do not even have a word for me. But I believe some call me Set." he said with a chuckle. "You have no idea what I've gone through, to be here."

Lucifer put his hand on his sword. "Give me a straight answer now. What do you want?"

Set smiled with his eyes. "It will all be evident in a while, my friend. I have great respect for you."

"Oh?"

"Yes. We both know how easy it is to kill somebody." he said, disappearing. Lucifer frowned, feeling his memories slip away. Oh no they wouldn't. He was better than that. He focused hard, wrapping those memories in magic to keep them from decaying.

A few hours later, he appeared to his adviser Metatron. "Metatron." he ordered. "Tell me everything you know about Set." No formalities, a simple order and an expectation of being obeyed.

"He's dangerous." Metatron replied carefully. "Do not trifle with him, Lucifer."

"I do not trifle. What is he?"

"I told you. Dangerous. He isn't a Fae, he isn't a god, he isn't an Ancient...I'm not sure. He's something else." Metatron looked at his boss. "What did you do? Why do you need to know?"

"I didn't do anything. He simply appeared. I'll tell you the details later." Lucifer said.

"I'll tell you this, sir. Don't underestimate what you're dealing with. He doesn't just want you dead, he wants everyone dead. Everyone we know about, all of them. Or he wants them worse than dead." Metatron warned, seeing Lucifer just chuckle. "What?" he sharply asked.

"I'm already dead, my friend." Lucifer said, hand over his heart.

It all makes sense. How could two angels produce something so evil? They couldn't, that's how. There needed to be some corruption. That's where Alastor comes in (pun intended). Demons are naturally assholes (from what I gather [see: Laz, Alastor, etc.]), so their genes mixed with an Angel's would be... fucked up. And because the plot demands it, Ivy is that Angel.

Her sexual lust mixed with Alastor's, and, for one night, they went at it. And they produced a baby that will destroy the world.

Raphael said it was Calliel's, I guess, but he could be lying to protect Ivy. If she knew it was a Demon's child, she might do something to it, or herself. Raphael is like her father, keeping a secret to keep order. And Ivy, Calliel, and Alastor are none the wiser. In fact, nobody is, except Raphael and the Alastor-Ivy spawn.
