I didn't ignore it. He said garrison of British troops. That could be anything from one, perhaps two hundred soldiers at best to what is an apparent brigade size force there. I wasn't going to go with "Iraqis encountered x amount of troops and we did this and this is how many British soldiers were killed or captured". There's still room for movement.

I fail to see how they could think they own the city and ignore the brigade of British troops there. I think you need to retcon the 'capture' and allow the British to respond. I don't think that someone's land should be invaded and 'captured' ICly while they are busy OOCly.

Why would they ally themselves with the same people who threatened to invade them? This is ridiculous, maybe an agreement to not interfere in each other's affairs, but not an alliance, thats going too far and is virtually impossible.

Agreed, Ethiopia giving up sovereign territory and getting hostile relations with America and the USSR in return doesn't sound like a good deal to me. As well, Eritrea is under British administration so even if Ethiopia gave up those lands, the Saudis wouldn't be able to get to them.
