Thanks, just thought a river would be a easier way to trade for goods and travel etc. I will have a post up hopefully soon.

Map Update

The map has been changed a bit regarding the east. I felt the Dellitan states were too far north to be the Mediterranean, Italian city state like civilization I envisioned.

On the map is also the outer reaches of the Gaitanen Empire. Lets just say the main part of it is far away. It's an Chinese/Japanese like civilization ruled by an Emperor. Think Asian. Let's just say not much contact happens with them and Derrians. Neither civilizations have any interest in the other aside from academic curiosity. Also, both civilizations know very little of each other. What Derrians/Dellitans and the Gaitanen know of each other is shrouded in rumor and legend. I made it available if anybody wants to have a few more oriental like characters in their midst. And by a few I mean rare (1 is the standard, no more than 3). No hiring on squads of samurai ronin.

It's enough that you added MEDIEVAL China.

Now I have a legit reason to have cannons.

Sorry the rule on gunpowder tech is still in effect. Do you object to adding the Gaitanen Empire? I like to be equal and represent all culture parallels in this world of ours.

Well fine...but I will still import spaghetti!

Returning serious, you should add a desert, so I can create a legit homeland for Farah and we could have a serious sultanate to deal with too.

It's more of a small desert with tribes however, under Derrian grasp still. I would like to see serious Arabs, as a big kingdom.

Damak, sorry, but when you get the chance could you move Ellesmera more upper right a little ways from the ocean but connected by a river? sorry again.

In this world the Gaitanen Empire does not have gunpowder. If they did then the Dellitans and everybody west wouldn't know about it.

Where do I put a desert? Desert doesn't really fit anywhere other than what I stated. Agrasca is like the middle east in terms of geography/climate. Its also an Arab like culture. Then there's parts of the Burrowlands and south of Derria.

EDIT: Merodin, got it.

Also the South of Derria where the desert savages are is not under any degree of Derrian control.

In this world is there a Power like the Roman Empire?

In terms of power or structure? There is no spanning Empire that has subjugated many different cultures/races. The Gaitanen Empire is powerful in their region but the culture is pretty homogeneous. Not that it matters as they are too insignificant to the Dellitan States and everything west.

Rupoy't would have a good place to get slaves then (in the event of a Sultanate, or even the Gaitenan Empire), also, perhaps the rebels could use some foreign assistance from one of the oversees entities.

Gaitanen Empire is not an option for foreign assistance, see my description on it. A higher degree of non Derrian influence would have to be discussed. Yeah I added areas but the conflict was meant to be primarily internal.

The most foreign assistance I think would be possible would be Foreign Mercenaries that might flock to a Kingdom in Civil War seeking employment.

So is the south. Mercenaries should only be a small supplement to your military forces. The vast majority of everybody's armies should consist of regionally drawn troops.

I believe everyone is beginning to assemble their respective armies. Don't think anyone has brought all their banners together yet(except with the Wallstryn's maybe...?)

I'm in the process of doing so. The Wallstryns can do it a bit faster as the Crownlands have very good roads and many of them.

when is the time skip to happen? Soon as it does, Balthazar will be no doubt returning to Sturmwall. In the meantime, I suppose I can RP some of my Bannermen assembling their forces.

I wouldn't put to much faith or value in men that only fight for coin because they could switch sides when the going gets tough or the other side offers more coin.
