Why, exactly does the Prince hate Asians, considering his country has been in the JAL for several decades now, and has reaped the benefits of said organization? The JAL has given the Mayans economic prosperity, helped the Mayans expanded, ignored the changes that switched them to a Republic, even held the JAL conference in Mexico City, at the request of the Mexicans. We do not impose Asian culture; we do not ask that you love the Asians; we do not force you to do anything you wish to do. There seems to be absolutely no reason for the Prince to hate the JAL, or if he does, no reason for him to hate it to the point of leaving the JAL.
In addition, given that the Mexicans have been in the JAL for several decades by now, the vast majority of trade links are with other JAL nations. Should Mexico leave the JAL, these trade links would be severed, sending the Mexican economy into a tailspin from which it would be very hard to avoid total economic collapse, let alone recover. LIN trade agreements may do some good, but considering that Sicily is fighting a war, Fortograd is busy in the CIS, and Anhk-Durnik is already devoting the majority of their trade with other nations, it'd be highly implausible for the LIN to transfer enough trade to salvage the Mexican economy.
If the Mexican economy were to be destroyed or heavily damaged, which is a matter of time if they leave the JAL, then the political and social elements come into play. Jer already mentioned Republican elements within his country; it is likely that they would become extraordinarily powerful as people rejected the government that caused so much damage, and flock to the opposition. In addition to economic collapse, they would then face political and social upheaval, which---if met militarily, and assuming the military did not go over to the other side--would lead to extensive strife, if not open warfare.
tl;dr version: I doubt the Prince's hatred of the JAL is enough to cause him to single-handedly destroy his country.
Also, I'm firing the ignore-cannon at assassination attempts at JAL conferences. Given the sheer amount of diplomats and world leaders gathered there, the chances of an assassin would be nil.
