Monique had difficulty drifting off to sleep. The kid and his entire heart-ripping threat had her on pins and needles. She couldn't remember actually falling asleep, but she awoke curled up with Fortu and with Scarface standing guard.

She sat up in bed, clothing rumpled and hair in total disarray. She dug out her phone and accessed her email, sending an encrypted message to her associates and requesting the services of the gentleman who had also been assigned to the contract. Feeling safer, she pocketed her phone and lay back down.

"I just can't handle much more stress, Mr. Scarface," she pressed her back against Fortu for warmth, "but I really do appreciate you protecting us. Thank you."

Fortu's was plagued by nightmares, He dreamed that he was killed by the little kid, and he woke up, to be killed by Mavis, and he woke up to be killed by a hitman, and he woke up to be eaten by a Futuresaurus rex. "DON'T KILL ME!" He woke up screaming.
