"That's... gross, Bran. Really. Are you male or female?" She poked a finger in Barbelia's waistband and yanked the material outwards to see.

"But of course. They are not of Earth - they may lay claim to it, they may take interest in it, but none of it, nor Human. This does not mean we will withhold their influence, it has been a part of humanity's development in the past, but certain events, twists of fate inflicted by possibly angered gods without reason or foresight, will be suspended and kept away from Humanity in an act of preservation."

"Some gods are human. Some are created by humans, some are required by humans, and your interpretation of what is or is not necessary is clouded by your own perceptions. You see, it's seldom that gods set out to harm humanity these days. But gods motivate in mysterious ways. An action may not seem to have reason or foresight because some gods think within the 10th dimension. While they'd appreciate your influence, they will take issue with having to explain something that won't bear fruit for an eon. And there are those who might not feel the need for you to be here at all. My associate is one such being. My brothers are others."

"Wait what the heck is going on?" She asks.
"No time to explain." He said and runs out of the building with a rocket launcher.
Mary walks outside and sighs.
"They had to send me here...." She said.

Gods are not perfect beings - they are capable of making mistakes which would result negatively upon Humanity - we are the filter between the Mortal and Celestial plane, if you want to view us as such. Further, there still exists influences that are not of godly origin, independent, which we also will mediate. Do not be alarmed - you directly will not be regulated unless your actions affect humanity negatively." Darius said, coutering Swith.

"My purpose is to affect humanity negatively so that they may achieve positivity. Chaos is not something random, and it isn't pleasant. From the trials and negativity come perfection. My brothers, also of Chaos, also affect humanity negatively in order to achieve a form of perfection. There must be balance. If you remove the negativity, there is only stagnancy. Surely you understand that.Then you must consider the moral set involved. Is sex bad? It is necessary for procreation, but it is also pleasure. Is sex for pleasure then bad if it doesn't lead to procreation? Some would say "yes" and see it as negative. Yet it is one of the purest forms of pleasure and from that comes great joy and self-awareness. As for those influences that are not of godly origin... they have purpose. A wandering spirit may be a messenger. The message may be bad, but the messenger was dispatched for the purpose of good. It's very complex, you see, when humanity is involved. And I myself have ungodly things under my domain that I utilize. I'm friends with powerful beings who are not gods but whom I count as friends. These friends have done more good for humanity in the last month than you did with a single action the night before last."

She was now getting pissed with Naomi, it's not as if Bran or Rylli had any choice in the matter what with being knocked out.

Would The Drone Empire have ever positively effected Humanity? I think not. Would a plague that virtually be rids of Humanity entirely positively effect it? I think not, intervention is a necessity, recovery is a necessity. Aiding humanity should not be so problematic an issue - I had hoped you would be able to understand us better."

"We know there are many deities which benefit Humanity, this we understand, but should they slip, and do something regrettable in their sake, we will prevent it from going through. Mind you, we do not expect this to occur as often with your kind as we do in the physical world surrounding the Earth, hazards lurk in abundance, we will negate those that we are sure would not benefit Humanity long term."
