Eventually, they exited the cave and walked their way back to the beach.

"Finally!" she collapsed on the sand. "Sweet, dangerous paradise, at long last!"

"New girl, Tsu. She's from...the Outer Territories?" Mon said, questioning her own reasoning. She nodded in confirmation at that assumption. "She must be, but then why would the General..." Her voice trails off. She waves it off before it comes back. "Anyway, she was sent here by the General for me to watch over her. She's an orphan so she doesn't have a place to stay. He hopes that I can help her and watch over her." She said to her. She then gave Tsu a serious look. "If anything happens to her, mentally or physically, and I find out you did it, I'll have your head." She said. Then she smiled suddenly. "But I trust you enough to not do that, so don't make me regret it." She said in an oddly happy tone.

Darius stood upon the moon, looking down upon the planet earth. He always found himself looking down upon things. He had no clear idea why, but did not dwell upon it, oh no. That would be most inconvenient for him and his mission, most inconvenient indeed.

Now, sitting upon the cracked lunar surface as though it were any other day, he felt at peace, serenity, solitude. This world was a nice place, but he needed to distance himself or he would be corrupted. In the eyes of his superior, this planet was no more than a rock, significant, of course, but a rock, a ball of dust covered with bacteria, nonetheless.

He cleared his mind again.

And stopped thinking.

Fortu's was plagued by nightmares, He dreamed that he was killed by the little kid, and he woke up, to be killed by Mavis, and he woke up to be killed by a hitman, and he woke up to be eaten by a Futuresaurus rex. "DON'T KILL ME!" He woke up screaming.

Monique was jarred awake by Fortu's scream. She grabbed the lamp from the nightstand and swung it blindly, hoping to drive off the little kid that must have invaded the room. Her protective actions were frenzied, the lamp wielded back and forth like a ceramic bat, and it took her several minutes to realize that no one was there and Fortu was safe.

"What the hell?" she asked him.
