At age 17 Jacob spoke with Rodger and convinced him to play a game of chess. Jacob won the match, Rodger then introduced him to a man named David Wills, a self proclaimed chess champion of New York. Jacob defeated him... at age 19, with this in mind... Rodger sponsored Jacob into admission in Westpoint. Where he graduated at age 25. He was now an officer in the United States Army.
