Rules:
1. Teh obvious no godmodding, trolling, flaming etc.
2. You can start out with any number of provinces between 1 and 10. If you attack NPC lands (not controlled by a human), you will have to make a post detailing Your gains, your losses, the enemy losses, etc. If it's unrealistic, I'll ask you to change it.
3. At least 8 lines in each post. If you feel you can't write that much about something like that then combine several things into one post. I'm just overall doing this to ensure quality and general fairness.
4. Time goes by as follows: 1 week=1 year, ergo 1 day=approximately 7 weeks and 3 days. just call it at almost 2 months, the math doesn't have to be exact. Some people were complaining about this last time, but others made the point that a conference shouldn't drag on a decade as the rest of the world moves on in a comparative blitzkrieg.
5. DON'T use RL nations. Please, I beg you. I'll eat you if you do.
6. Thou shalt have fun.

Religion: Greek Paganism
Government type: Despotic Monarchy, with elements of meritocracy
Number and location of provinces: 8, Mid-Scotland
Population: 25,000
Army size (should never exceed 5% of population in peacetime): 1,200
Main products: Iron, Naval Supplies, Fish, Livestock, Cheese, Wool, Cloth, Carrots, Mead, Honey, Wood (especially Oak)
Military Speciality: Good seamen and powerful shock infantry, as well as mighty siege weapons
Military Weakness: undesirably small amount of cavalry, and nobles often prefer to fight on foot.
Unique Units (2-4): Lydian Ballista: An old weapon, taken from when the Lydds were a trade civilization of ancient Anatolia, this ballista is far more powerful, mobile, and accurate than the average weapon of the type. Can be used as a siege weapon, a defensive weapon and a "field gun".
Dragonboat: This time from the Jute side, a powerful Viking ship capable of crossing long distances and horrible weather. Lethal when prepared for war due to being heavily manned by only the hardiest seamen.
Highland Axemen: Due to the recent mixing with the Celtic peoples of Scotland with the Juto-Lydian settlers, interesting warriors such as these have emerged. They wield large two-handed axes, which they know how to use well, especially in surprise attacks. Effective against cavalry, and adapted to a large mix of climates due to greatly varying blood.
Celtic Guard: Upon arriving, the Lydds quickly saw the advantages of the native Scots in combat and were quick to adapt. Hand-picked warriors from among the Celtic peoples of the area, they have varying missile and mêlée weapons, in which they are well-versed from birth. They now serve as a personal guard to King Knud and his family, and are thus held in the highest regard.
Brief History (at least a paragraph plz, and may or may not relate to your nations in other RPs of this chain): The Lydds are the last stand of the Lydian Republic, founded on the Aegean coast of Anatolia in ancient times, over the 3rd century BC they started weakening until conquest by the Paphahassinians in 198 BC. As a trading nation renowned across the globe, Lydia had colonies as far away as Jutland. Lord Protector Cleon VI ordered an evacuation and flight to Jutland by boat. The 15% of people who followed the command of their leader became known as the Carrolydians, Carrolin being the Lydian word for refugee. In Jutland Cleon was crowned king, and began founding the Kingdom of Carrolydia alongside the Jutes. By 572 most of the peninsula was taken, possibly only the north remaining free. King Cleon XI had designs on Britain now, intent on claiming what he could in the name of Odin, at this point greatly mixed with Zeus. he sent one of his finest generals, Knud Holmsen, to claim Scotland in his name. However, a secret worshipper of Zeus himself, he wished rather to claim a new land for the renewal of Greek Paganism. He covertly embarked 40,000 people whom he knew to share his wish and set sail. Upon arrival, he was crowned King Knud I of the Lydians and the Jutes. "Lydians" quickly became abbreviated to "Lydds" and the name stuck. Now mixed with the Celts of the area, the old king is still eager to expand his realm.
