And what gives you that information? Just becasue some people burnt some things down doesn't mean every industry in the entire country is wiped out, and it doesn't mean more can be bought or captured.

China had hardly any industry in 1939, and almost no tanks. The Japanese weren't quite as tank-heavy as their European counterparts, so there'd be less to steal. To backwards egineer a tank takes time, and the production cycle of a tank regiment is definately pushing a year. What territory does the DPC control? Because most industry is focused around the capital and East coast, and much of inland China is controlled by warlord cliques (Guangxi Clique etc.), so the amount of industry you have access to will be very low.

China didn't really have the capacity to produce its own tanks, so even if the DRC reverse engineered captured vehicles, they would not be able to produce them in significant numbers. The National Revolutionary Army's tank forces were enough to equip a single armored division; however, this would not have been like the highly mobile divisions of Europa or the USSR. Instead, it was used as infantry suport. A mix of all the major interwar tanks were used: Renault FTs, Carden-Lloyds, Panzer Is, LV-33s, etc.

IRL the NRA's armored forces were bolstered by Soviet types, which, imo, gave the NRA a qualitative advantage over the Japanese. The BT-5, especially, was superior to Japanese types. Whether the NRA has access to these vehicles in this rp is up to our Soviet player. It is possible that Trotsky, unlike Stalin, would not have authorized their sale to an anti-communist force, although the KMT and CPC have a loose alliance at this time.

The KMT's tank advantage would be overwhelming against the DRC, but this doesn't mean that the DRC wouldn't have some captured vehicles. The NRA used captured Japanese tanks after all. During the the retreat from Wuhan, it is possible that a few tanks would have fallen into the hands of the DRC. Nonetheless, the Japanese would have taken the lion's share of NRA equipment.

Another crucial factor favoring the NRA is the lack of anti-tank guns among DRC troops. As I understand it, the DRC's artillery consists of US howitzers. I'm skeptical that these would have even reached the DRC, due to Japan's control of most Chinese ports.I suppose they could have been smuggled in through Hong Kong.

No, at Old Dominion's suggestion all of the colonies were removed from the listing, since actual colonies (not including British Dominions) had no control over their foreign or domestic policy. We were more accommodating in the beginning to build the player base but it didn't work out, so it was dropped.

The problem is that there seems to be nothing anyone wants to do as a colony except rebel. Which is not only bothersome for the controlling empire, but in most cases it's just not historical. Not all colonies were happy but they didn't suddenly rise up in huge revolts all of a sudden. And yet that's what happened each and every time we let someone play as a colony or a dominion.
