The Shifting Balance (Scenario in 1920)
- Set right at the end of 1919, the world has had alot happen to it. The horrors of World War One have scarred many nations. The rise and fall of the German Empire, the Splitting of Austria, the ever so weakening Ottoman Empire... and yet, the one thing that is a true threat to every nation is the rise of Communism. Once the German Empire was defeated in 1918, the Russian Civil War began. The Civil War began. There were many revolts against the Monarchy in Russia, but there was never such an uprising like this. Due to the Civil War, many nations broke away from the Russian Empire. No matter what the size, these nations at first fought the Monarchists only to find that the true enemy was the rising Soviet Socialist Republic. Of course, despite what really happened was that the Royal Family was captured... in this Alternate Timeline, they weren't. Thus, the White Movement gained alot more momentum.
-The White Movement is based in and out of Russia in Murmansk and Archangel and then to Astrakhan. The Red's are all throughout Russia. Despite what it seems, the Communists don't really own all the territory they claim to as there are many other Left WIng Revolts and even other nations penetrating into the heartland of Russia. The Communists have to deal with alot. The White's on the other hand have international support... but not local support. Despite White Russian Armies within the Baltic States, Belarus and Ukraine, many of these people's are wary as if the Monarchists win, will they end their sovereignty. As for the Allies of World War One, they are skipping around the idea of recognizing all these new nations, however they despite sending their own forces, these are too small, and have no clear objectives. Finally, some of the most formidable enemies don't even have territories at all. The Baltic Germans are revolting in the Baltic, Anarchists and The Green Movement Ravage the Ukrainian Republic, Both Extreme Left and Right-Wing movements threaten the Weimar Republic. Cossack Raids into the new caucuses Republics stir up more controversy, Left Wing movements in most nations destabilize power, Mussolini in Italy, Independance Movements in Africa, The Greco-Turkish War and the still intact Ottoman Empire after the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Sèvres]Treaty of Sevres occurred[/url], and much MUCH more! Who will win? Who will lose? Who knows in this very twisted world.
