for every unit and vehicle in the opponents deployment zone I roll a D6, on a 5+ they are hit and non-vehicle units suffer D6 S5 AP4 hits with the Pinning special rule, For Vehicles and buildings I roll another D6, on a 3 or 4 the vehicle suffers a single glancing hit, on a 5 or 6 the vehicle suffers a single Penetrating hit. The profile of the weapon is S5 AP4 for working out wounds from Glancing and Penetrating hits on buildings and for working out modifiers for penetrating hits for both Vehicles and buildings.
If a unit flees however they only flee back to the board edge, they don't go off completely. If a unit is in a building the building is hit instead of the unit.

What cool bonus you want your base to give: Drop Pod Assault - up to half of my army can arrive in the first turn via drop pod. (obviously they must be able to use a drop pod as dedicated transport if they want to use this.)
What cool bonus you want one other territory to give: a bonus (say an extra 10%) to the army list. (so if it's a 1500 point army I can take 1650 army)

Hmmm I need something appropiatly orky for my base doing thing... What turrets do orks already have? I am thinking of a Giant shoota cannon but I am not sure what they get for defensive stuffs already.
Can you imagine a world without hypothetical situtations?

Hmm, so right now we're looking at Dark Angels, Tau, and Orks, yes?

I'm thinking of starting a map for this.

As tempted as I am to join, I think we do actually need someone who isn't a faction to run stuff, and I'm not the best 40k player so I volunteer haha.

Not Tau, Elysians? Mkay. I'm thinking of witty base names.

What is the damage on a 'Deff gun? Also holy crud Jormengard :O Orks are more complex then everyone expects, eh. I am guessing you would kill me if I asked for the stats of Sumboyz (bankers), yellerz (religous priests of Gork and Mork) and for brewboyz (cooks)?

Okay, you do map, I'll throw in a backstory.

What points are we using, 1500?

I'd say variable between 500 and 2,000 personally (only use 2,000 for the home base battles though)

Which army you are using: Space Marines.
Leader's name: Librarian Daniel Mercury.
Why you came to the planet: On the emperor's order.
What cool things you want your base to do: Dunno, something that would blast away anyone who gets near.
What cool bonus you want your base to give: Dunno, something that would help aim.
What cool bonus you want one other territory to give: Dunno, something that would make hard to get close.

Some help would be nice.

Seems reasonable, the defender of the home base should have a good advantage with several neutral territories which lets people get the adavantage they need to actually take home bases.

Okay, let's think.
What cool things you want your base to do: Call down an orbital bombardment in the same way as a a chaptermaster.
What cool bonus you want your base to give: Choose a single infantry unit before each battle, and increase its BS by 1.
What cool bonus you want one other territory to give: Choose a single vehicle or vehicle squadron before each battle. That vehicle or squadron may now overwatch as though it were infantry.

Look good? Can't say I'd much enjoy fighting an overwatching redeemer...
