then at that state he wouldn't of been well enough to get out of his bed let alone go to a conference, also where have you put that he's been suffering with cancer for a year. Not quite, you've got to consider realistically what will happen when you do something. for example, with your Prince dying it would send the whole Empire into mourning, and unfortunately it would bring a blow to the economy, as people would stop working ot mourn for their royalty, even more so with the King himself dying. you can't just have everything going on as normal after one day of mourning, they'd probably devote a week or something like that to mourning for the dead king, before then crowning then new one, every action you do higher up the chain will have a massive impact lower down.

We'd only really retake Northern Italy. In fact they'd probably try and side with one group in your civil war and help them and ask for part of Northern Italy in exchange.

@Nova, the Sicilians saw what they were dragged in to, and didn't necessarily like it. I'm no-one's puppet, I'm actually trying to pull myself into a more neutral state.
