Here's the difference. You've gone all out and claimed it as your Protectorate, whilst I was only going to claim it as a protectorate if anyone attacked it. I also think we shouldn't have the council it should just be ruled by the rightful King, no council or anything like that, and we should have a mutual agreement with it, that if it is attacked all three of our nations will help protect it but we cannot claim any more lands in that area else it will be seen as a sign of aggression. then we can have it as a true NPC nation, but it would have a lot more staying power.

Also I think I've left it long enough, my next post is going to have me finish off my conquest of that bit of Africa.

may i just say that this new king, in reality, would 100% not be christian and most likely be jewish or Muslim. So that wont bide well with your christian nation. Also my whole point of taking the city was to avert from having a single non-christian ruler put in place.

King Amir isn't a Muslim but I guess he could be a Jew, I didn't think it would make a big difference but either way I'm still going to support King Amir and I think he should rule the city, A council of religious bickering old men would do nothing unless you just plan on them being puppets.

The League of Nations was a failure and many would say that the UN is a failure, also not everybody is impressed by extravaganence some might see it as to much pride or your trying to hard to make it appear as if your nation is more wealthy then other nations.

I'm not understanding how your nation IS wealthier then others, my colonies in the Americas would be more profitable then a good part of Africa you control and you have spent a fortune on making your cities have the impression of wealth which would most likely be a drain on your economy, there has been a lot of leaders in history who spent fortunes on trying to give the impression of wealth but ended up causing their nations to go bankrupt.
