Sure. I'll restrict them heavily and keep a very close eye on what they're saying, but sure. I can even make a profit by taxing people who claim alternate religion status.....works for me.

Yes Asian proposition, it has something to do with the Malay Empire. However, I haven't been on the IC for ages so I'm not a 100% sure its even viable now.

Malay Empire is still around, yes, but an ever-hungry China is constantly looking outwards. I'm still interested in any idea you may have.

It's far elaborate than this but for time sake; it's a partition of the Malay Empire with you getting its Thai holdings and I getting Bengal and Burmese holdings.

Mmm, I wanted to have some sort of direct connection to India. Let me play with the map a bit and see what I can come up with.

just to put a slight spanner in your works, I was looking at taking some of the southern holdings of the Malay Empire, of course I'd be willing to trade them to you for an alliance or something like that.

EDIT: I like how the Malay Empire doesn't actually contain any of Malaysia in it.

Such an offer would be acceptable, yes. Perhaps a trade agreement and a neutrality pact?

I think it would be a good ideal to introduce spheres of influence into the rp.
Better pass boldly into that other world, in the full glory of some passion, than fade and wither dismally with age. -James Joyce

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”-Abraham Lincoln
"Power is a curious thing...Three great men, a king, a priest, and a rich man. Between them stands a common sellsword. Each great man bids the sellsword kill the other two. Who lives, who dies? Power resides where men believe it resides; it's a trick, a shadow on the wall, and a very small man can cast a very large shadow."

Very well, I'm primarily concerned with having a foothold in India and I'm planning to use Burma simply to have a presence in SE Asia, I'm just waiting for your approval as I really don't want to piss off China right now.

I'm just going to be funding Indian rebels and freedom fighters the whole time, inciting rebellions and whatnot. I think India's population was what, nearly the same as China's at the time? With Chinese support, it can turn into an IRL Vietnam. <cackles evilly again>

Well most of Europe is recovering from an economic shattering war and no one wants to go for another war in some far-away obscure island's 100 x 100 ft stronghold against a right-next-door superpower that has millions of men at its disposal.

Concerning the Indian situation, I believe I actually have an edge on it. Since I am a secularized Muslim nation and there are large contingents of Muslims in India and I'm not one of those Christian brutes that keep yelling 'for Gold, Glory, and God!'

I'm not a Christian Power though more like a mix of several religions but the majority is Orthodox and I could always send a Muslim Turkish Army to invade India or just send a mixed force with a Muslim General so you don't have a big advantage over me but maybe Francia you do.

Oh never mind, I thought you were someone else... But like you said your an Orthodox majority and even if you send a Muslim General your simply sending him to conquer the land which then will be governed by an Orthodox King

To be honest I don't think no Indian in India wants to be ruled by a Foreign King so all of us would be at a disadvantage but I might think of something interesting if I got for India.
