Naomi frowned for a moment. She closed her eyes and listened, and then snickered. "Well, you abducted Dani. She pledged to protect her. But..." she listened harder, her face reminiscent of a small child with her ear pressed at a parent's closed bedroom door. "She's miffed... because. Oh."

Naomi lifted her bangs to reveal a horrible black and purple bruise on her forehead. "I was abducted. She's got a bur up her ass about housemates abducting innocent housemates for no good reason. I don't think 'eating' or 'experimenting' counts as a good reason, either. You know if you offered her some criminal's liver, she'd thank you and eat it, so her issue isn't with your hunting... just with hunting fellow tenants."

"I thought it was Dani. Swith's mind is focused on her," Naomi shrugged. "If it's any consultation, when I try to see what's she's thinking about me, all I see is Dani. Very aggravating. But you also tried to abduct a man, too. Both people are new tenants."

Naomi moved closer to NVE. "Here's a piece of advice... all-powerful fiery or snowy displays are just that - a display of how blustering mad she is, but usually not deadly. It's when she's quiet that you need to worry. She kills silently... weren't you paying attention when we destroyed Dab's missile base? At least she didn't threaten you, right?"

"Scientists are unsure what to make of this new reaction from the ring, and are claiming that they did nothing to try an affect it," the TV droned on.
