He turned his leg around revealing a splinter from the floor about the size of his hand lodged in his leg, he poked it a few times.

"that's going to put a dent in my daily routine . . ." He muttered angrily.

Naomi sighed. "I don't know why you won't accept my offer to work at Chaos. It would save you having to go all the way down to that crappy sub shop."

She gently pried the piece out of his leg and then threw her hands over the rush of blood, slowly mending the tissue. "Sorry I'm not as fast as Swith," she apologized and avoided his eyes.

"Thanks, Thriller," she said as he began to work.

Naomi removed her hands and examined her work.

"I think that's going to be a scar," she shook her head. "Swith will make it perfect when she gets back." The topic was a sore spot with her, so she excused herself and washed Bran's blood off her hands.

She returned and began throwing debris into the wheelbarrow. "Thriller, if you can lift it, we can chuck it all in the portal."

"I was more going for just putting this stuff into a crusher of some sort, melting what can be melted and reuse what can be reused... But that could work too." *Before he could grab for wheel barrel, Superbia took it and threw all of the trash in it into the portal*

Giovenith pulled out her whistle and played tunes, making several hulks of the garbage and debris float about easier to toss out.

"So, anyone want to give me a more detailed description of what is happening now?"

"Bran, it was Swith's intention all along to hire you to work breakfast. Cuisine is head chef and turns out awesome stuff at night, but she specifically wanted you to do your waffles and omelets... morning crew. Not as some flunky, either. Managing the kitchen during the early morning because even Cuisine needs to sleep. At least, I think he does. I'm not sure what Cuisine is, really. But he's very nice."

She glanced over at Superbia. "I guess he doesn't believe in recycling."

"Listen, Thriller... I'm sorry I didn't stay awake to see the transfer. Thanks for letting me sleep someplace comfy. I appreciate it."

*Superbia continued to go back and forth tossing junk into the portal, including a recycling bin filled with trash* "It's okay, the process can be a boring one after awhile, and you're welcome, it's the least I could do for a friend." *he grabbed some heavy debris and tossed it into the wheel barrel. Soon after, Superbia chucks the wheel barrel into the portal* "Clean fasta!"

"She . . . She never told me she would, at least I don't think so." Mumbled Bran as he tried to stand up, he collapsed back down a moment later.

*Superbia finished up on cleaning up the mess and falls to Naomi's feet* "I work hard, can I work at Chaos?" *He replied in a winded voice*

"Well, my work is done, best go check and see if any of my bacteria cultures in the fridge survived."

The unsuspecting maid walked out of the master bathroom of the Obama private residence within the White House. She saw all the debris covering the bed and was about to scream when a largish wheelbarrow dropped from the ceiling and cracked her over her head, knocking her senseless for the rest of the evening.

Meanwhile...
"I don't know, Superbia... what can you do? And can you behave yourself? Everything there is very low key, and there are a lot of demons posing as humans. You'd have to mind your manners and hide your power from the patrons."

She listened to Bran's suggestion of being an "auntie" and giving Christmas gifts, and offered him a small, sad smile. "That would be... fun."
