Swith said nothing but put a gentle hand on both their shoulders. "It's time to return. I think we've intruded enough."

The portal opened and she guided them to the porch light and through the closet door. Small drifts of snow swirled around the kitchen dinette set and Swith closed portals and doors quickly to keep out the cold. "Well, it was interesting," she mused before showing them out the bomb shelter door and making her own way upstairs to the kitchen.
