"Because I've watched it happen my entire, rather short life. Everyone I love dies, and it seems that the more intensely I love them, the more violent their deaths. Bran was tortured, brought back to life and later run over by a train. NVE was... I don't even want to think about that. And Thriller spent his last moments in agony... and died alone because I had to stop and get toast."

Naomi took the tape with both hands. "Okay, thank you, but I have nothing to play it on." She looked at him and then hugged him. "Be safe, okay. I don't need to lose any more people I love."

Although Bran was as tired now as he was dead a few days ago, he still decided to make breakfast for whoever showed up. He locked himself in the kitchen and began putting into place actions that would bring about the Wafflepocalypse . . .

Walking in the park was most of Miranda's days. She watched the pigeons and birds scatter across the sky even on the gloomiest of days. She started keeping diaries about strange things she sees to almost where it becomes an obsession. She is almost driven into paranoia. She takes weekly visits to the psychologist but that will not help that terrible person that rings in her dreams go away.
