Naomi brushed her bangs out of her eyes and scooped up the girl.

"It's nothing against you guys," she explained to Gretta and Fortu, "but she's just been through a lot psychologically. She doesn't need more poking and prodding. When I said "get a sample", I meant "down the line" to determine if she had any relatives here."

She tenderly rubbed the girl's arm, borrowing a bit of her entity's ability to mend. "Brrrr..." Naomi giggled at her, "it's like little snowflakes on your skin, huh?"

The User, having finished her drink, promptly threw the bottle away and grabbed her rifle. She put her boonie hat on and pulled up her mask as she moved around the building. Every room, every hallway, every door was 100% hostile until proven otherwise. She checked her corners and her six, almost like she was expecting to get ambushed as she walked through the halls.

The universe wrapped them both and they tumbled onto Bran into the dining room a moment later.

Rachelle, who had seemingly forgotten about the congregation of people in the room, had fallen asleep on Bran's bed. Rylli quietly slipped out to find Bran dozed off on the couch, she sat down next to him and leaned her head on his shoulders and dozed off too.

But not before telling everyone else to turn out the lights when they finally got around to leaving.
