Johnson looked at his regiments combat readiness reports. They were exemplary. the whole regiment was eager for action, tired of waiting in reserve. They knew they were some of the best, but Johnson knew they were still totally untested in real combat. The first day of action would see many casulaties, and he was eager to not see the men and women of the 43rd alliance infantry regiment (Europe) decimated on the first day. He informed them that the next week would consist of small scale war games, after which he would apply for active deployment.

John's emergancy comms channel had been switched on and a message was heard. "All forces that are in other countries, report back to your bases ASAP. The president is dead and we must defend our borders and find those responsible." Then it ended. John got on the Shadow Company channel and said, "All forces, we are going home, the president has been killed by unknown forces, we are to return to base and get ready to guard the borders." Then the pilot changed course headed towards the US.

James heard him say it,and he stuck up his thumb and collapsed."Shit,that hurts!" He moved his pant-leg up and saw the bloody red wound.A soldier was approaching him when James pulled out a needle and some bacterial soap.He sewed up the wound and rubbed soap on it."My lucky soap." He slowly pulled down the pant-leg,then lied down and said,"Yo,wake me up when we get back!"
