The meteor... what meteor? ...the meteor! F*ck.

Kineto, suddenly remembering everything, sprang back away from Daniel and towards Medusa (he hadn't come within a couple meters of Daniel anyways). Dashing the twenty-something meters to reach his fellow supervillain, and decapitating a SHIELD grunt using his pointer finger in the process, he stood by her side in a defensive stance.

"Well, Red, it seems that things have gotten out of hand. What do we do now? --watch out!" Kineto put himself in between Medusa and a SHIELD agent who had raised his rifle, taking the bullets harmlessly.

Daniel noticed the guy getting hit by the bullets like it was nothing, and said " So, bullets don't hurt him. "; and also he had to notice the shepard near him. Who was this guy again? He wasn't good with names.

" Hey, transform in something more aggressive here, we are in battle and I think everyone figured out where the meteor is. "

He then charged his gauntlet and his sword and said " Let's see if the man of steel here likes some real pain rather than the bullets! "

[Jolleus]

"Watch my back, Medusa--there's a hostile approaching." Kineto took a couple steps away from his ally and got into a fighting stance, keeping his eyes on Daniel as he approached. Waiting until the man had come within a couple meters of Kineto, he then kicked at the ground, channeling a wave of energy to send a huge blast of sand flying into Daniel's face. Without giving Daniel pause to recover, Kineto launched himself at the swordsman, fists flying. He didn't have enough kinetic energy stored up to dish any full-force punches, but he was still slugging at least as hard as, say, Captain America.

Daniel was surprised by the blast of wind and stumbled back, but his experience make him recover his position fast enough to see the danger approaching. Since the guy decided to punch him, he believed it was just right to exchange the favor.

" It's time you taste my Gauntlet, and I hope you don't need that hand for anything later! " He said, hitting the incoming punch with one of his strongest.

To Daniel's surprise, his gauntlet neither crushed Kineto's hand, nor bounced off. It simply stopped, as though the second law of motion didn't even apply. It was a strange sensation, but Daniel didn't have any time to ponder it, for Kineto's other fist was driving straight towards Daniel's chest. Kineto's punch connected firmly, staggering Daniel as the unmistakable *crack* of a rib breaking is heard. Kineto then proceeded to continue swinging. However, despite Kineto's power, Daniel could tell that the villain wasn't nearly as well-trained in martial arts as he was.

Overclock skidded to a halt as the meteor vanished, and all of the others appeared. Simultaneously. "Qu'est-ce?" She completely stopped just in time to not slam into the meteor and notice Daniel waving a metal gauntlet around.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Wonderful. And that wasn't all she saw. Medusa, and what was obviously a H.Y.D.R.A. agent. Her response to this was simplicity in itself - She pointed her still-crackling drill at the H.Y.D.R.A. agent.

"Why are you still here? As you can plainly see, you are outnumbered and quite simply outmatched, if S.H.I.E.L.D. and the X-Men are here." Her ribbon-drill began to slowly spin. "I may not be able to punch as hard, but I prefer penetration anyway. And I must tell you, I am very good at it."

" Ouff " Was all that Daniel pronounced when the guy broke his rib and make him go back a pair of steps. The damage was painful, but the magic of the Gauntlet was already curing it.

Daniel used his experience of almost 800 years to avoid the rest of the hits, but he figured out that the guy was truly made of steel or something. Even his blade seemed to not pierce his skin, like the...wait.
He got back a pair of feet, just outside the range of his hits, and said " You are erasing kinetic energy! All the strength put in a hit seems to always encounter the exact opposite when he touches you. I am right? "

[Jolleus]

"Walk into this and find out," growled Kineto, swinging his fist in a wide right haymaker. Daniel had racked up numerous "hits" on Kineto by this point, and Kineto felt that all it would take to end it would be one good punch to the guy's face. One good, head-disintegrating punch.

Kineto momentarily glanced at the big drill-thing that Overclock was extending towards him, and then decided to completely ignore her. He was confident that the drill wouldn't have any effect on him, and he was pretty tied up at the moment with the SHIELD swordsman.

Poor Kineto didn't think that the guy in front of him had centuries of training against paranormal creatures, so he was used being in disadvantage. Recent years however brought to him and to the common man other ways to fight.

Instead of dodging the punch, Daniel used the motion he did to move himself forward as the strength to launch the enemy behind him of several meters, rolling in the sand. Daniel then got up and smiled " This, my dear friend, is something normal people call Judo, the art of using your enemy strength as your own. Fun fact, you can easily learn it in the last century. I bet you can't erase your own kinetic force, otherwise your attacks would do nothing."

[Asterdan]

Gale chuckled a little as Overclock said something about Penetration, then quickly morphed back to his human form. Within a few minutes, he was undergoing a transformation almost identical to the German Shepard one, with a few obvious differences. First was fur color, then was the fact that this was a wolf and not a dog.

Andalite charged forward, teeth bared and spit flying, marking territory here and there. He was ready to fight, and to get that meteor for SHIELD!

As he charged, he let out a blood-chilling howl.

Medusa

"Thanks. Got it." Medusa whipped her hair out, and waited for someone to attack. She then saw a wolf, and shot her hair towards it, hoping to entangle it.

Storm

Storm looked around, and saw that a fight was coming. Wanting to avoid the fighting as much as possible, she brought a cloud down to lift her up into the sky. When she got there, she had a bird's eye view of everything. Looks intense. Might as well confuse everyone... Her eyes started to glow white, and the weather started to change.

The sky darkened from the clouds. The clouds then started to turn a sickly green as a funnel started to come down. It touched the ground, and became a tornado.

Iron Man watched from above as the people suddenly appeared and the meteor disappeared, as his unguided missiles harmlessly impacted above the surface.

Jarvis? - he asked the AI server in the home requesting another sitrep of the changing situation.
Missiles were affected by the electromagnetic field of the asteroid and prematurely detonated. Analyzing biometric contact data... - As the others appeared on the visuals, JARVIS began to identify them.

The situation report was now visible for Tony, who closed on in. As he couldn't see the meteor anymore, he had to resort to his eidetic memory for dead reckoning of its position as he fired upon it with his repulsors. Then he aimed an unguided barrage of missiles against Medusa, while targeting his repulsors against her, flying closely over the head of the people present.

(OOC: Kineto's suit has a trigger which must be intentionally activated in order to release kinetic energy above normal levels, and any kinetic energy in excess of a certain harmful levels is automatically absorbed. He can also intentionally absorb lower levels of kinetic energy. It's really sophisticated.)

Kineto grinned under his mask as he came into contact with Daniel. In mid-throw, he released a huge amount of stored energy from his suit straight into Daniel's hands--probably throwing the man backwards and completely shattering bones in his unprotected hand and arm. Kineto rolled to the ground, but quickly picked himself up and prepared to renew his attack. Then, he noticed the changing weather. He realized that even though the tornadic sandstorm wouldn't hurt him, it would still eliminate his visibility, and so he decided that he had wasted enough time dealing with the SHIELD guy. He needed to find the meteor and crack it open before Storm saw him and decided to blast him with lightning. He ran back in the direction that (he thought) the meteor was in and started looking for any signs of it. Before long, he was back on his hands and knees, suffering yet another of the meteor's strange mental attacks...

[Procastitania]

T'Challa, running at full speed, rushed toward the source of the radiation. Back in Wakanda, his scientists had quickly picked up on the energies from the meteor. He had been trying to get an edge on the other powers on Earth, but Wakanda was already at the cutting edge. An energy like this, if it fell into the wrong hands, could prove disastrous for Wakanda, and that power could also benefit it just as much if he could get it. No doubt other heroes and organizations would be swarming, but he could still get the power, or stop the worst organizations if he couldn't.
T'Challa eventually ended up at the meteor, a bit late compared to the others. He decided to observe the other participants in the fight before taking part. If it appeared the power source was in danger from evil, he would take part. It appeared there were more allies than enemies, however, and there was no sign of the power source.

Daniel felt an incredible pressure in his hands, but the gauntlet armor absorbed most of it without problems. Did the guy just tried to avoid the hit in some way? Well, he clearly failed and now it was on his knees after running in the wrong direction: whoever launched that sandstorm was being really helpful. Then, he got an idea: if he punched him, he would give him kinetic energy, so the only way to defeat him was to make sure he would waste all of his energy without touching him: get him tired.

He charged towards Kineto...and punched not him but the ground not far from him, directing all his strength downward. He kept for a while until he heard a crack and then jumped back: he just broke the dune or the rock they were on, surely creating an empty space below them, ready to suck in all things from the upper ground. DIY quicksands.

Medusa

As she shot her hair towards the wolf, she noticed the tornado and the missiles. Medusa decided to pull her hair in, and protect herself. She ran towards an area far a way from where she originally stood, and then crouched down. Her hair started envelope her into a red ball, securing itself by digging deep, winding holes into the ground. The hair stopped moving, and hardened.

Storm

She sat down on the cloud, and looked over the edge, to direct the tornado and possibly lightning. After seeing nothing but clouds, she stood up again and just focused on keeping the tornado moving.

Monet turned, distracted by the fight... the urge to pummel everone was strong... to strong. she sighed. then turned towards the center of the crater... where the meteor was now gone.

non... more mind games petite rock? non... not this time... she headed towards the empty spot... she noticed the german shepard running towards the spot where the meteor was.

"Sorry doggie... but this is one game of fetch you are not going to win." and with that, she flew towards the dog, scooping the animal up and turning skyward.

she trusted her invulerability to keep her safe from the animal's claws and teeth.

Andalite looked up at Monet, letting the wolf release a howl from deep within.

<SHIELD will get that meteor!> he yelled in her head, trying to get out of her grasp.

[Starkindler]

After the missile strike, Stark looked on his tactical map again, showing friendlies advance to where the meteor core should be.

Good. I just have to defend them from HYDRA, and they are good to go. However, that means no meteor for me, and an extra job if they develop super-nukes from them again. Analysis on that red ball?
It's made of an unknown, hardened material. Although from the session of events it's Medusa.
Launch unguided armor-piercing rockets at her. Then launch a salvo around the meteor.

At his next circle above the battlefield, two AP rockets were launched at the direction of Medusa, then started rockets around the meteor, watching that he doesn't aim at any hero around, regardless of organization.

After seeing how the fight between Daniel and Kineto was going, Overclock thought better of a direct attack. Instead, she extended her drill in front of her and dove under the ground, drilling a long, wide trench that went right under Kineto. She resurfaced a few feet away from the meteor. She turned and faced the meteor itself.

Should I just take it and go? Or should I help Daniel? Dammit, now what?

Medusa

Medusa's hair got damaged, and started to burn. She shrunk it away, except that some parts still stayed where they were, smoking. She stood up, and ran away from the fight, hoping one of her teammates would get this meteor as she let her hair heal and find the next meteor.

Steve Rogers entered the meeting room on the helicarrier. He waited for someone to show up to tell him what was going on. He had just got back from vacation, so he was completely out of the loop."Hello. What is the situation?"
