Name of Ancestor: William Stevenson.
Name of person reliving memory: Charles Stevenson.
Period which ancestor was living: 1914 - onwards.
Occupation for ancestor: Merchant, but was drafted in to British army, as a piper during WW1.
Background info on ancestor: Born in to a merchant family, William worked alongside his father until the outbreak of WW1 when he was drafted in as a piper. Fighting in many battles in France, William's job was to be the first man over the top and play his troops forward to the German line.
