Familiar of Zero Rp (OOC/Signup's/open)

Postby Familiar of zero » Mon Oct 01, 2012 9:31 am

This is an RP where your character will either be a student at the academy, or will be summoned as a familiar. This will be somewhat of a fantasy RP though. You will not have to RP a human magic user. You may RP other things not along the lines of humans. However, this will be old-fashioned - there will be kingdoms, princes and princesses you may apply for the kingdoms but there are only three: one princess one prince and one king and queen. The rest are magic academy students. These Students are learning the art of magic weather it be alchemy, earth, fire, water, or the lost magic known as “void”.
Here are some rules for this RP. There are quite a few of them, so read carefully.
1. Respect your fellow RPers and other people. If you have a problem telegram me or mention something you disapprove of on the forum so we can talk it out.
2. There will be no godmodding. Some magic users will be stronger than the other you will just have to deal with it.
3. Make sure that you try to keep it pg-15 at most. Yes I know it is generally 13 but sometimes that is hard for this RP.
4. If you post an app and then don’t post on the IC once I have it up within three days your character will be taken off of the roster unless you tell me about something like busy on the weekend or sports etc.
5. There can be Romance in this RP, so I don’t want you guys to think that there wont be.
6. If you have an idea for the Plotline to make it better please TG me about It instead of posting Random RP posts.
7. Please, if you can help it, no one-liners - they look tacky.
8. If you have something to say OOC, please only say it in the OOC thread.
9. Please if you want common chatter just talk on the forum.
10. If you're just scrolling through cause it’s a new RP, then please do apply; I would really appreciate it =).

Name-
Nation-
Character appearance-
Character's style of magic-
RP Sample- ( As in type a little post so I can see your style rp)
Character’s familiar-
Bio-

Age-
Personalities- (Flirty,Quiet,Easily irritated)

Name- Dustin silver.
Nation-The Republic of Familiar of zero
Character appearance-Brown shaggy hair about down to the middle of his eyes ,Sky blue eye’s , Height -6’0, He is a good kisser (don’t ask why I put this) He loves to play board games and video games and when he feels like it he will be a smart ass. He has a playful look in his eyes.
Character style magic- Is a familiar (need a master lol)
Rp Sample- ( As in type a little post so I can see your style rp)
Dustin Was walking through the street as he noticed what looked like a pentagon appear floating in air. He touched it thinking “Wow, this is awkward” Then it engulfed his entire body and all he saw was darkness. He walked around yelling out “Hello is anybody there?” Finally he quit searching for what wasn't going to be found, until another gateway appeared. He touched it and the same thing happened, except now instead of being in the realm of darkness he had ended up on his back with a pounding headache looking up at what looked like students around his age, but he couldn't understand what they were saying.
Character’s familiar- n/a
Bio- Dustin was a young American minding his own life. He had just graduated his high-school not too long ago, he wasn't smart. He had just barely passed any of his classes. He wasn't too good with the women from his world. He was always easily entertained by their breasts or by their butts . Often he was caught staring only to be punished by them. He was either hit with a frying pan or Whipped (literally).
Weight-154 ibs
Age-17
Personalities-(Flirty, Quiet, Easily irritated.)-He is mostly Quiet, But he can be extremely flirty, He likes girls a lot . If he could he would stare and check-out girl all day. But he is too often caught and punished for that to ever happen.

This is the part where I explain the elements of magic. There are five elements as I said Earth, water, fire, air and void. These are the five major elements of the pentagon. There are only four void magi with four human familiars. I will also be explaining these familiars in these next few spoilers as well.
Fire is the element of Destruction There are a lot of fire magi but they aren't used to the way the Fire magicians control an attitude. Just like fire they are hot-headed and have very short tempers most of the time. Some of the magi have learned to control their fire alchemy and use it for good and not destruction. They are generally very good friends with their familiars sometimes even best friends - they respect them and trust them to protect them.
Subset of fire - magma.

These magi are generally cool headed and think about three moves ahead of their next one. Never face one of these magi in a game of Chess. They are always sure of what they are going to do and know how they are going to do it. They are always cautious of making friends. Also, they are very powerful magi with their Water Alchemy. They are friends with their familiars but they don’t want to get too close in case of death
Subset of the water element-BLood.

Wind magic users are quick minded. They don’t really think about their next move and are always quick to rush anything. They are very talented in countering attacks though, and are generally best friends with their familiars. They rely on friendship to power their magic
Subset of wind magic-Lightning.

These are generally the weakest magic users, but can sometimes be very powerful. They are the only magic users who can summon golems of the earth - or golems at all for that matter. They are very very nifty in theft and in skill. They may be weak but they strike when the time is right. They aren't very good friends with their familiars because there attitudes are pretty much look out for yourself and you will succeed.Subset of Earth magic-Alchamey.

Void magic is a sacred element. Only four will be born when the time is right. They are they only magi that can summon human familiars. Their familiars are legendary, and have special and unique powers known only to a select few. There magic however is one of the strongest because it relies on emotion and purpose. That is why there are only a select few of them in the world.

Familiars can range from animal to unknown thing to human. Mostly void magi summon humans though. The rest of the familiars are based upon your element of magic. You may choose to be a familiar, but there will be no magic involved unless a Void mage Summons you, which means that if you choose to be a Familiar in this RP a mage will have to choose you as their familiar

Dustin SIlver-Familiar of zero
Anny - Grim states
LIte Rige-Man in a box
Connor Hannswort-cerret IiI-Ilvania
Drace Herewell -Lorei.

Postby Man in A Box » Tue Oct 09, 2012 9:28 am

Name- Lite Rige
Nation- Man In A Box
Character appearance- Stand at 6'3 weighing around 210 lbs. He has a strong muscular frame without a bulky appearance. He has a strong pair of legs and average sized waist. His shoulders are broad and his chest is toned and hard. His arms are obviously toned but not excessively. He grows out mustache and a goatee on occasion but shaves it clean when he must go to a event. his eyes are completely blacked out due to his race back round and he has a large scar tracing his right eyebrow. His hair is of average length. A bit longer on top than the sides so his eyes and ears aren't bothered. Quite the handsome fellow.
Character's style of magic- Blood/subset of water
RP Sample- (TP)A lonely path is the path that Lite walks. Ever twisting and turning with any signs of and end being crushed by an ongoing turmoil that he constantly faces. He walks it by himself and must walk it for it the only path that will keep his loved ones safe. He has walked this path for so long that he has begun to forget why he travels alone and never stops to rest. At times he wonders to the edges of the path in search of his mind, losing it somewhere sometime long ago. THe path that this one man must walk is not a path treaded by many.
(TPL) Smoke and blood could be smelled from miles away. This place was a battlefield. Bodies piled atop bodies and blades and spears pierced through not one but many poor souls that were lost to a cause that was never worth fighting for. Among the many dead was one that breathed though his soul was with his dead brethren. He stood tall amongst the stench and filth. He saw the light of the sun rising in the distance. A good omen perhaps. A sense of warmth could be felt in the man's chest but the wight of his sword reminded him never to expect the best. He marched forward. stepping on top of broken bones and and severed limbs because their was no more ground left to stand on. He went towards the light. To what he hopped could be salvation from his tormented life.
Character’s familiar- None at the moment
Bio- A story of man with no past is a short one yet one recited constantly. Lite had no actual parents. He was simply created by followers of powerful dark essence that had promised their demonic god that they would find a way to bring his offspring to the plains of the living souls. They promised they would achieve this by putting the souls off the offspring in a spawned body of human. It would've worked if it weren't for a disturbance in the ritual. An attack by a holy templar group and the young baby with the soul of devil kin was lost in the rivers. Years later, a young man who was raised by a family of warriors and saints has been raised to bring an end to the demonic race.
Weight- 210
Age- 18
Personalities- Easily irritated, egotistic, enthusiastic, optimistic, and craving for something more.

This is for all of us

Denied for one main reason. Blood is not on the elemental list.

Name-Connor Hannsworth-Verret II
Nation-The Holy Empire of Ilvania
Character appearance- Long-ish blond hair, lean bodyshape, lily-green eyes. Much of his cockiness derives from his rather pleasing outward appearance.
Character's style of magic- Water (is ice included in this?)
RP Sample-
So this was it. He had never really wanted this. The steel blade, sullied with foul streaks of ruby red, felt immensely heavy within the grasp of his manicured hands, a monstrous burden. Time seemed to slow to a trickle, asphyxiated by the cold stare of his eyes. Wild winds tore through the air, throwing the young man's golden mane into a whirling flurry, a savage flaxen dance. His emerald eyes, however, stood deathly still, belying no sense of pain, no sense of pleasure, no sense of emotion.
'I never wanted it to end like this, I am truly sorry that things turned out this way.'
She only looked back at him, her pools of blue filled with anguish and despondence. Why? They beseeched of him, Why like this?
But they would find no answer in his icy green orbs.
As he placed his bloodied sword by her neck, preparing for the coup de grâce, a thing of great curiousness occurred. For the most fleeting of moments, the briefest of seconds, a mournful air swept across his callous countenance; icy orbs became melancholy moons, savage dances became despairing waltzes, a cold face twisted into a tormented grimace.
'May we meet again in another life.'
He swung his sword.
Bio-Connor was born son of Phillipé Hannsworth-Verret and Alice Hannsworth-Verret of the well established and wealthy House of Hannsworth-Verreters, owners of a large merchant and shipping company. By virtue of being born into such a prestigious family, Connor was able to live a privileged and luxurious life, spending most of his time dabbling in ancient history and the fine arts. It was not until his 16th birthday that his latent magickal powers became apparent. Following this revelation, Connor was immediately sent off to the Magick Academy to hone and perfect his skills.
Weight- 62kg
Height- 183cm
Age- 17
Personalities- Calm, collected, cocky, callous, hedonistic, flirtatious, loyal

Name- Drace Herewell
Nation- Federation of Lorei
Character appearance- Human, a minority in Talorei-dominated Lorei. Slightly shorter than average; around 5'7" with a light skin-tone, hazel-brown hair and green eyes. Mild musculature, not exactly uncommon for the time period. Slightly scrawny -he's at that age- with a slightly interested to investigate look predominately. Circular glasses, which he sometimes squints through. Otherwise holds himself with a worried air.
Character's style of magic- Untested on arrival. Will amend on discovery of magic type.
RP Sample- With heave of a shoulder to resettle the weighty baggage strapped to his frame, the initiate mage groaned as the muddy trail oozed through some almost malevolent form of osmosis. Slowly infiltrating the dry interior of his boots to leave the last refuge of his body cold, damp and by now thoroughly miserable.
Stupid bloody stupid Magic Academy.. and stupid weather. Can't they, I don't know.. make it sunny on the days they're accepting new students?! with a quick glare from under his shaggy hair to the heavens and their watery annoyance, a determined pull at a leg to force the mud to relinquish his foot, and a muttered Taloreian curse that would probably have shocked his elders that he knew it, Drace Herewell, hopeful new initiate in the ways of magic trudged forward. Nice.. nice big fire. And a hot drink.. yeah. Bound to be one there. Bound to be.
Watching the path as it slowly wound up the hill, he was joined by a bedraggled looking crow perching on his shoulder.
"At least we're in this together, eh Trey?" he chuckled affectionately to the soggy bird.
"Crah!"
"Take that as a yes, then.. c'mon.. the map said it should be.. just.. -hah- over this hill.." and with a grunt of effort, the dark hunched over grumpy figure -and the crow- reached the apex; leaning heavily on his walking staff as he panted with the exertion.. looking over to see a sudden break in the storm over what looked to be a small town. And what else could it be, but the Academy of Magic?
Grinning, a weary duo made their way to the sunny and dry patch in the pouring storm... and perhaps to a shining future, too?
Character’s familiar- None, unless we're including pets! Trey's just a crow, though.
Bio- Born in the magicless boundaries of Lorei, as a third-generation human settler; Drace isn't exactly the first person you're going to pick out of a lineup to be a mage/wizard/magician whatever. Do we even have an official noun for a magic user?. Mostly fascinated by the technology of Lorei; he was apprentice to a clockmaker until four months ago; when on contact with a pure-type mana stone -in what would have been a simple transport by an immune human to avoid Talorei exposure- drained the entire stone of energy. Thus it was discovered that he had magic ability, thus far undiscovered with no actual magic to channel until now.
To discover exactly what he is capable outside Lorei borders, the new mage has traveled to the nearest -and indeed one of the greatest- schools of Magic. Though he is somewhat torn in leaving his already settled lifestyle in Lorei, the temptation of learning a whole new craft is something that is near irresistible.
Weight- Light
Age- Seventeen
Personalities- Quiet, thoughtful, curious, inventive.

May as well tidy a few things here, although Lorei does have a higher technology level than a.. swords-and-sorcery Nation; I'm firstly not planning on using anything beyond clockwork for this RP, and second Lorei is largely designed to have been forced into technology research to counteract the lack of magicians and magic. It's supposedly surrounded by swords/sorcery nations in any case.
Queries and fingers pointed at my mistakes welcomed.

Welcome to Lorei! Here's your pass and watch your step! No seriously, you could fall. Like, splat. And we don't want to clean that up..
Secretive late Industrial Revolution tech aesthetics, 20th century level tech level in a mountainous nation of magitek corvid-people with a non-fatal terminal velocity who are allergic to raw magic, and who like festivals. If that piqued your interest...

Character appearance- Basically; "a young man, and very handsome, nearly too handsome for being masculine. He is slender and tall, with movements speaking of whipcord strength and confidence. His eyes are dark, as is his hair, and he wears his clothes as if he doesn't care about them. His hands are long and elegant, yet strong, and he moves with a cat-like grace."
Character's style of magic- Wind
RP Sample- He navigated his way through the dimly lit corridor, deftly manoeuvring himself with a cat-like grace; even in his plate and mail armour, past servants and guardsmen who murmured "Captain", respectfully. Grey-brown smoke from a brazier drifted past him, and as he stepped through a doorway, he encountered Lord Frostmoth's advisor. The man briefly murmured to him; and spoke of the delivery of goods to Autumnwood, and keeping the Lord's wife under good protection. Estraysian bowed gracefully, and then spoke to a nearby guardsman; a man he could trust. "Double the guard around Lady Frostmoth, and ensure that the men I have hand-picked are the guards that are stationed there. I would rather alleviate the Lord's fear, and ensure that nothing happens than any possible fruition of his worries to occur." The man nodded, and promptly left to convey the orders.

Satisfied, Estraysian turned to the matter of the delivery to Autumnwood. He would go with twenty eight guards, and himself to ensure that it did not come to harm. It would be enough to put off most brigands, and he was hardly a slouch when it came to fighting. Another thought came to his head, unbidden. If reports were true, a band of sell-swords had camped near Autumnwood. He knew it would be in his- and his lord's, best interests if the mercenaries were brought into the fold on the side of Frostmoth keep. It wouldn't surprise Estraysian if Lord Kavor was scheming with that in mind, even as he had these very thoughts. A disgraced man who once knew the taste of glory; would do much to get that back. He relayed his plans to the men who would accompany him, and waited as they prepared.

He soon found himself near the keep's gates, his long ermine cloak flowing in the wind. He glanced quickly at the wagons filled with the goods, and the raucous drivers as they shouted they were ready.
Estraysian mounted a nearby white war-horse with a rustle of chain and plate. At his side was scabbarded his long, master-crafted steel longsword. On both the hilt, and the blade itself, the symbol of a Heron was present. The symbol of an officially recognized Blademaster. He heard similar rustles and sounds of commotion as the other men he'd taken to accompany him mounted on their horses.
The Captain signalled; both wagons and horses went into motion, with the guards forming a perimeter around the wagons and the Captain himself, who rode to the right side of the wagons.
Not much longer, he thought, tense with anticipation. He knew something would arise; an event in which blood would be spilt before the day was out. Thus, Estraysian felt he should be considerably more cautious than usual.
Character’s familiar- None yet.
Bio- Born the only son of Gorlas D'arle and Challice D'arle, of whom Gorlas latter remarried to Janath when Challice mysteriously disappeared and was never seen again- a somewhat influential noble family from far away, his "honourable" personality first manifested when he was quite young, and he saved his half-brother, who was born of Gorlas and Janath, from drowning once when he was young, and several other times from various dangers. As such, his half-brother always kind of looked up to him as he grew up and is six years younger than Estraysian.

His sister; Lostara D'arle, though, always seems to think badly of his attitude; saying that he was too envious, and too noble for his own good.
He learnt with astonishingly fast speed with the blade, from two mentors, one the captain of his family's guard, and the other the ex-Master of Swords in the King's guard.
Such was his skill, that the two men declared him to be one of the youngest known Blademasters around. Eventually, with a little influence from the man who was once in the King's Guard, he was incited to join the army, and then he made a name for himself as a skilled fighter. As he anticipated, he rose quickly through the ranks due to his competence, which may have provoked the ire of some of the other men, but they respected him nonetheless for his ability, and his honour.

He soon found himself stationed in a war torn part of the kingdom, and that was around the time he discovered his power, with wind magic. Having heard that the Academy of Magic would be able to help him hone his skills in that area, he convinced some higher-ups that it would be in everyone's interests for him to depart to this establishment. He has recently arrived, and is ready to learn more in the area of Wind sorcery; perhaps as eagerly as he learnt how to fight with many a more mundane weapon.

Over the years, he is used to the looks most women seem to give him, and he has accepted that as an oddity of life, never understand exactly why the way women do act when they're around him, though he sometimes gets uncomfortable in certain situations. If he harbours feelings for anyone though, he is usually the one to keep them to himself unless honour and obligation allows him otherwise. He does not know the meaning of envy, and he never lies. His personal sign is a winged silver sword, point-down.

Weight- 190 Ibs
Age- 20
Personalities- He will always do what he believes to be the right thing, no matter who it hurts, unless he is forced otherwise. Generally honourable. He has a good hand with the sword, and only needs to be shown something once before he learns it. He does have a sense of humour, but he does not care to mock people. Accomplishments mean nothing for Estraysian, and he never boasts about how he is very good in strategy and tactics. Good at persuasion. Sometimes he acts without thinking.

Name- Makoto Jeon
Nation- Altruistic Paladins
Character appearance- Makoto is 67 inches tall, has short, tomboyish, black hair with short sidetails, and "bluish" grey eyes
Character's style of magic- Fire
RP Sample- "See you tomorrow," Makoto said calmly she walked out of a brick building. Behind her was one of two friends Makoto actually had. She made a phrase that became an accidental innuendo. Things were complicated to say the least about the situation. Without even considering what she did, she just walked away from the building without so much as an apology or acknowledgement that htting somebody in the face over a slip of the tongue was going to be anything other than a tuesday. As Makoto arrived home, checking the mail box. Sorting through the mail, she gained interest in the academy. Without consideration, she accepted the offer. She could tell that the message was sent around the time she discovered that she could control fire. Putting two and two together, she joined the accedemy without hesitation.
Character’s familiar- Bruce the shark
Bio- Makoto was born to a maritime family. Her family had a history of service to the United States Navy and Coast Guard who would often enter law enforcement or international trade after service. Due to this, Makoto was something of a Navy brat. Due to her mother's retirement from the Coast Guard, she moved to New York. Makoto was regimented and maintained a regulated lifestyle. Even with an interest in Tai Chi and Eskrima, those still failed to instill a "restraint" in Makoto, as she still maintained certain "beserk buttons". Due to that, some of her hobbies, and certain effects caused by exposure to per-natal androgens, she maintained a reputation as a tomboy. When Makoto gained control over fire, she was approached to join the academy.
Weight- 125
Age- 16
Personalities- calm, tomboyish, professional, geeky, well-intentioned, quiet

Name- Bramwell Volkovich
Nation- Altruistic Paladins
Character appearance- Bramwell stands at 70 inches tall, has brown, curtained hair, and bluish eyes
Character's style of magic- Water
RP Sample- Sitting alone in an empty house was Bramwell. At the time, Bramwell was busily sorting through mail amid the various miscellany that was typical with the mail. Bramwell did this out of a want to keep things organized, even when his parents were not present. Sitting at a desk, Bramwell was searching for any letters of interest to him. One stuck-out, as it was mailed from an academy he heard about. It was an academy with odd acceptance standards that were somewhat arbitrary and random. As he looked through the mail after clearing a space for reading, Bramwell opened the letter. In it was an odd message he never heard about the school doing. As he read through the letter, he did not like the sound of it. He knew that the academy in question had a high reputation, and it was a boarding school. Bramwell hated sleeping outside of his room, and got to work crafting an arguement against going there if the need became appearent. One month later, he was entering the academy's grounds.
Character’s familiar- Laweye the wolf
Bio- Born in San Jose, Bramwell was an oddball. Bramwell's family was made-up of scientists and engineers. Bramwell generally isolated himself and was shy. From what could be gathered, he maintained good grades outside of mathematics and had a special interest in science and history. Combined with various neuroses, Bramwell went largely unnoticed. Due to this, he was able to largely keep his growing control over water a secret. Rather than being confused by why he had control over various liquids, he saw an opportunity. Training for the opportunity, he joined the J.R.O.T.C. and took interest in Krav Maga in hopes of becoming a superhero. When the academy approached him with an offer, his parents accepted and left Bramwell disappointed by the fact that his power was not unique and was generalized as "magic".
Weight- 148
Age- 16
Personalities- shy, neurotic, talkative, altruistic, geeky, distant

Name- Akira Bertrand
Nation- Altruistic Paladins
Character appearance- Akira is 70 inches tall, has short, tomboyish, brunette hair, and green eyes.
Character's style of magic- Wind
RP Sample- sunday morning was always the worst morning. It was the last morning of the weekend, and most friends would be at the base's churches. It was the time that Akira hated. For a large amount of time, she would just sit on the patio, using colored smoke to create abstract shapes. It was something she could do when she needed something to preoccupy herself. She had no purpose behind it, and so used it for personal entertainment alone. Things were less complex back then. Today, she decided to do something different with the smoke. Changing the shapes into sword-armed combatants, she made them charge her only to become regular smoke with a single hit. As far as she was concerned, this was the most interesting activity she could do with it. She was wrong.
Character’s familiar- Tomoe the crow
Bio- Akira was born to parents she never knew. Shortly after birth, she was abandoned. Due to this, she was put-up for adoption. The people who adopted her was a Captain in the Marine Corps. Raised a Marine Corps brat, Akira had an oddly soft-spoken adopted parent. This quickly turned out to run opposite of Akira's energetic and fast-paced. Akira had quickly gained a reputation as a leader that was quick to form cliques. Akira's love of Judo and Karate was generally not helpful due to a sense of chivalry she tried to maintain that would sometimes result in fights or just stand-offs with other people. Akira had to stop when her powers became appearent. Due to the powers making themselves appearent, Akira tried to hide them successfully. Without knowing what to do about them, she found a purpose for them with an invitation to the academy.
Weight- 142

Decided to mix things up a lil' bit. This is a teacher's application, rather than a student's.

Name- Maria Bellen
Nation- Tristain
Character appearance- A grey-haired lady, Maria appears every inch the aged scholar. Hair normally tied back into a bun, and robes a dark grey, almost black. Not quite the stereotypical "granny" image, she's managed to age gracefully and maintains a respectable height and baring. A wand of apparently sun-bleached wood with silver rings binding it nearly always in hand or tucked away in her sleeve.
If you know either Granny Weatherwax from Discworld, or Wynne from Dragon Age; same lines as those two.
Character's style of magic- Wind specialist wind-water Line mage. Using the anime "Familiar of Zero" this is based on, a Line mage knows two elements of the standard four. Three is a Triangle, four is a Square.
RP Sample- Outside, the two moons shone in their reflected light over the grassy plaza of the college, streaming into a single lit room in the teacher's tower. A study still lit despite the lateness of the hour with magelight and fireplace..
Closing the report with a satisfied sigh, Maria picked up a red-inked pen and wrote a clear circled "A-" on the covering page with an ease that comes from practice on practice. Placing the report neatly onto a pile of it's fellows before leaning back in her leather-backed chair. Leaning down to scratch her companion familiar behind his ears a few seconds later. Chuckling as he leaned his head into the grooming fingers happily.
"Another term down, another class filled with all the wisdom I can pack between those dense heads through their ears, eh Krei? Think we deserve a pat on the back for actually getting finished ahead of schedule don't we?"
"Arf! Roorf." replied the faithful hound.. we're not exactly going to be understanding him any time soon are we?
"Oh all right! Let's break open the good drink for once shall we? Not like there's any celebrations soon.. and the college will be empty for a while too. Shame to leave it for so long in the cabinet.." as she spoke, Maria stood with a slow stretch from moving after a while of inactivity; moving to a fireplace -followed by her familiar- and sinking down in one of the two soft armchairs placed by it; a waved wand summoning a glow around the glass fronted cabinet across the study to relinquish a decanter of amber liquid as well as a crystal tumbler and bowl. Setting themselves down on the table before her.
"A measure for me.. and one for you, of course.." setting out the liquid in both vessels, floating down the bowl to the fireside carpet. Krei licking her hand affectionately before the duo turned their attention to the vintage they'd saved themselves.
"Another year leaving us.. another one arriving.. wonder what the future will bring us.."
"Rarf."
"Of course. Silly question, really."
Character’s familiar- Krei. A dog, resembling a particularly yellow Golden Retriever, though with long jagged pointy ears. Totally doesn't resemble a Jolteon in hindsight.. cough.
Bio- A lecturer for a while now at the college, Maria teaches some of the more mundane skills at the college in addition to the fantastic. Arithmetic and er.. whatever the shared language we use is. Call it "Common" for simplicity's sake. Magic taught is focused on defense for combat, and achieving maximum yield for minimum expenditure otherwise.
Minor nobility, and the fourth child, Maria wasn't particularly expected to manage the family's estates or marry into higher power or wealth; and thus on finding a talent for magic was supported. Having some experience on the border guard and assisting various magical endeavors, she 'retired' from the life a couple decades back of a travelling semi-adventure magician to teach at the College. She remains in good relations with her family, comfortable knowing she's found her place in the world and getting to see what the future's shaping up to be.
There's more to tell, of course. But that would be cheating...
Age- 63
Personalities- Experienced, Lecturing, Patient, Decisive
Welcome to Lorei! Here's your pass and watch your step! No seriously, you could fall. Like, splat. And we don't want to clean that up..
Secretive late Industrial Revolution tech aesthetics, 20th century level tech level in a mountainous nation of magitek corvid-people with a non-fatal terminal velocity who are allergic to raw magic, and who like festivals. If that piqued your interest...

Accepted.

Well, of course not.

That would involve claiming a rare Void Mage slot; which to be frank most people are going to shy away from until they're confident both their ability and the rp can sustain it. Not to mention it's vague properties mean it's difficult to work out exactly how to behave as a Void Mage.
Not to mention that I don't believe anyone here has experience with rp with you and are hesitant in choosing a character that links the characters nigh-inseparately.

Having the headmaster and a student (at least) as your characters would make more sense; one as the in-canon controller of the rp and another to get 'into' the roleplay.

Sorry; but the writing's on the wall.

Name-Gratlevor Montrezor
Nation-Fowlick
Character appearance-Image
Character's style of magic- Alchemy
RP Sample- Gratlevor sat in the coach waiting to arrive at the academy. He looked constantly out the window watching the many fields go by. He thought to himself the different spells he would learn. He constantly thought about what his familiar would be, because he knew that he would get one eventually. He then saw the academy looming in the distance. "This is it."He said to himself, straightening his clothes as to seem clean and proper "This is when my life starts."
Character’s familiar-none yet
Bio-He grew up in an orphanage. He wasn't an orphan though, his parents ran the orphanage. It was unusual, but he learned to deal with the constant coming and going of friends. Eventually he got the invitation to go to the academy. His friends knew he was destined for great things, because he had learned some things on his own and did these tricks for his friends.
Weight-175 Lbs
Age-17
Personalities- shy to most, but when he trusts someone enough he is outgoing. He remains stoic 79.4% of the time.
I thought I could do this again, but I have too much on my plate. I have to actually give up on this. Sorry everyone.
