I was thinking of an apocalypse-type RP where, like our giant lizard friends known as the dinosaurs, a meteor is going to strike Earth.
Four years ago an asteroid, about the size of Mt. Everest, was discovered on a path that will collide with Earth and no one thought of it. They thought it was going to be a spectacular sight to see that will land somewhere in the Gobi Desert. However, about two months ago, it was discovered that this asteroid was going to enter the zone in space where there are no turn backs (forgot the name) in three months around Houston, Texas. The governments of Earth have decided to work together and form four seperate teams for four attempts.
Teams:
The Americas
Europe
Asia
Oceania
Though they are seperate teams, they will share information on where they are and how they will do it. Each one has a different technique, eg putting a large enough nuclear bomb on the surface of the asteroid or moving it out of the way with another large enough object.
