Spanish Pyrenees
1914
Forts have been constructed along the Spainish/French border. They will hold a total of 300,000 Spainish troops as well as artillery batteries. Troops are currently en route while engineers finish consrtucting these fortresses.
While this is taking place, King Alfonso XIII sends a warning to Portugal.
Portugal has declared themselves a member of the Allied Powers and an ally of Spain. Any Portugese troops assembled along our border will be considered an act of war. This will be our only warning to you. If
you should attack, we will fight back and conquer Portugal.
Be warned,
King Alfonso XIII
To prevent Portugese aggression, King Alfonso XIII has ordered 200,000 Spanish troops protect Spanish borders against Portugal. An additional 100,000 have been sent to Basque and Northwest Spain. Portugal would be smart to back down from this potential conflict.
