President Woodrow Wilson in response to the en masse victory of the north east and midwest of the socialists ordered the creation of the American Sovereignty coalition combining the great plains republicans, western republicans, and southern democrats. Al-smiths statement " The American Sovereignty party is nothing but a cornerstone of the debauchery and falseness. We have a god damned war over in Russia and by the lord I'll sever the head of the bolshevik party and feed it to the buzzards" brought ire to the AS and promise to the American people. As for the congressional military tribunal over 100 naval officers were found guilty and stripped of rank. The President ordered them to just leave the country because their very stench is insulting. American general and war hero John J. Pershing escorted the loathed men to new york harbor a journalist noted it was in essence an exile of criminals to europe and africa. Ofcourse the governor of new york being a staunch socialist responded " Were better off without them". As for the missing FDR and Joseph Kennedy the president listed them as enemies of the state. "SP party members trumpeted roosevelt and Kennedy in a political cartoon as overweight monster balloons with a decrepit look harry truman as a zombie in chains about to grab lady liberty while being shot at by veteran soldiers led by
Al-Smith with a trusty musket labeled truth and political responsibility. Next to him is the angelic form of the assassinated governor of missouri".

The congress formed the politically responsible commission and has begun prosecuting those reported of ethical violations. Military officials held a parade today as a force of strength meanwhile congress approved a change to the flag after cubas central vote on statehood yesterday. More tomorrow.

The response this time came from Franklin Roosevelt himself, who spoke over German radio in regards to the American political clusterfuck.

Cieszyn is confirmed to be included in the Polish electorate in time for the election of the next President of the Ministers, and an impromptu voting booth in the form of a black box in the town hall will be used. Poles on the Czechoslovakian side may also have their votes counted: the Polish group there as well as the government are currently requesting that the local authorities of Těšín let them legally submit their vote.

Chief of State Józef Piłsudski publicly condemns Mussolini's new government for its unjust persecution of the various socialist and communist groups within Italy as well as the fascist ideology, and offers political asylum to all refugees. There has been some controversy internally among those with fascistic tendencies. Meanwhile, the working day has been mandatorily reduced to a maximum of eight hours.

More Land Force troops are sent to garrison along the Russian border, primarily in settlements close to the border, in order to better protect Poland from the Bolshevik threat, despite there being no indication of a Soviet attack.

OOC: RL Piłsudski probably wouldn't have condemned Mussolini, since he has a weak state in his hands and wouldn't want to make enemies now, but I'm going for a more biased and willing to get involved in politics Chief of State here. Unlike IRL, his socialist days are not over...

A group of Japanese walked down the streets, the ambassadors of the Japanese Empire wanted to speak with this new idea of a German Nation. They knew that the Germans were powerful, and that it would only be a matter of time before they became a very powerful nation again, Japan intended to insure that Germany would never stick its nose into Asia again, knowing that Asia belonged to America and Japan, no one else. The diplomats presented a case in which they would provide Germany backing on the international stage, moving to help them both in the league of nations and by talking separately to the allied powers. In exchange Germany would provide no assistance to China, and would maintain no colonies east of the British Raj, or west of the United States. They would also look to give Germany some Yen in exchange for the right to manufacture their new 'People's car' which was so affordable and useful for their homeland.

Tokyo, Empire of Japan
The streets of Tokyo were a buzz of activity, people hurried to and from markets, going to work, school or home. However what people crowded the docks to see was their new submarines, the two U-boats had been given a fresh coat of paint and each flew the flag of the Rising Sun. Above them hovered two of the German airships that had been such effective bombers in the war, each flying a massive Rising Sun across their hull, almost entirely for propaganda value. Umung the people watching the spectacle was a eleven year old girl, she watched their latest battleships, fresh from the assembly line, pull sharp turns. However unlike everyone else there, she didn't see them as the Emperor's battleships, she knew it was only time before they were the Empress's battleships.

Adolf looked at the Japanese delegation and said, "The Volkswagen will be sold in Japanese markets whenever we get the chance, of course, but there's still the issue of your demands to stay out of Asia. Germany did rightfully colonize parts of Asia that were seized from us at the end of the war, but sure, but this does not mean we're going to fund your war machine aswell."

The battle for Novosibirsk has turned to a siege as the Red army has all but cut off the city from the surrounding area. The remnants of the White army that has defected surrender or else kill since the fighting began are holed in the city’s industrial center and around the city hall. The Imperialist diehards are expected to fight until their last man. Meanwhile, during the confusion of the initial battles, Alexander Kolchak, the leader of the White movement in the Eastern Front managed to escape the city and is now rumored to be seeking asylum in Northern China.

In the West, the story was much the same. Soviet forces Belarus SSR captured the last White stronghold in South Belarus while in Ukraine SSR communist forces began a wide campaign to root out loyalists in the country side.

With the nearly all opposition purged in the Russian heartland, the Bolshevik began establishing communist republics and soviet in surround countries as well as puppet states. Communist governments were established in Azerbaijani and Armenia while Socialist Soviet Republics were established from Russia’s Central Asian territories.

Communist moments in Asia have begun taking off as well. Bolshevik revolutionizes recently stormed local barracks in central Mongolia, sparking the beginning of another revolution the destabilized Far eastern nation. Along with Mongolia, multiple regional soviet regimes have taken off in war torn China. Though declared communist, most do not hold affiliation with the greater Red Revolution in Russia and elsewhere.

Talk of creating a union between the newly established soviet states began circulating in the upper part of the Russian government. A meeting was scheduled with regional soviet governments the possibilities of such a union. The merits of creating one large supper state would be the establishment of a strong central government that would be able to fend off any and all foreign attempts to crush the revolution as well as to better coordinate the rebuilding process.

Russia SFSR has put out a statement that it does not recognize the illegal seizure of Sakhalin Island by Japan and has condemned the action in the strongest possible terms, declaring that “By occupying the (Sakhalin Island) Japan has declared its self an expansionist aggressor as well as an enemy of the people. For its greed Japan shall pay the price of its actions with blood”. In a statement later in the day Russia has also stated that it does not recognize the existence of the self-declared “Russian Republic” saying that it is nothing more than a sham crafted by foreign interests and does not represent the will of the people.

1919
Helsinki, Finland
Finnish Army Map Room

The former residence of a Russian nobleman had been taken from him by Red revolutionaries, confiscated and sold on the open market, and then commandeered for military use. Now it was a nexus of the best military minds Finland had to offer. The walls were lined with maps, presenting a clear picture of the Fenno-Russian border from Petrograd to Petsamo. The air was slightly smoky; the room, illuminated by lamps, was still inadequately lighted, though this arrangement served them well enough.

Every man in the room, all the generals and colonels and marshals, had their minds focused on one plan, the product of many months' planning. It was staked out in pins on the maps; drawn in lines on charts; written on sheafs of paper, some of which were burned. The plan was more than simply ideas, though. It was a strategy, an infallible solution to the problem Finland had always faced: how does one deal with pesky neighbors? In the past, the solution had been appeasement, or the classic "If you can't beat them, join them" strategy. If one could even call it that. But after centuries under the guns of Sweden and Russia, finally the Finns could breathe free; it was their time to shine.

Or rather, some of the Finns could breathe free. The USSR, that infantile Communist state which so menaced Europe with its angry revolution, still held within its grasp two things that would forever ensure that the Finns would never be truly free. They had Karelia, a land populated by Finns; and they had Saint Petersburg, that vital Baltic outlet which also cut Finland off from its Estonian brothers, and from Europe at large. It was a red Russian ink blot on a white Finnish paper. And if President CGE Mannerheim and his men had their way, it would be turned white before long.

But this grand campaign, to liberate Finland forever, would ultimately fail without help. And unless Mannerheim did something on the political end of things, his military scheme would perish, and many Finns with it. So seek help he did. Leaving his subordinates to stick pins on the map and rub their hands together in anticipation, he retired to his office, and dictated a few telegrams to his secretary.

SUBJECT: Anti-Bolshevik Alliance

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It is with grave concern on the lips of all my people that I write to you. I must be frank and to the point: our concern is the Bolshevik. These barbarians, having as of late swept Russia by storm, must not be allowed to establish a foothold. Their manner of evil is despicable; it has not been seen since the days of the French Revolution, and never seen on such a vast scale. Thus I wire to you a simple and earnest proposal. If we are to halt the Red Menace, we must also coordinate our efforts. I propose the formation of a loose alliance of nations who seek to quench the wildfire that now threatens to not only scorch Russia to ashes, but also to overtake the entire world. I understand that each of you is concerned primarily with his own nation's internal and external affairs. As such, instead of meeting in person, we ought to simply convene a group of our most trusted and skilled military advisers. I will volunteer Helsinki as the location from whence they should plan the operations of our forces in Russia; but I am not at all averse to a Konigsberg meeting, or some other locale that is safe, yet close to the front. In any event, please return a wire to me with all haste. We cannot waste time, lest the cowardly Bolshevik find his strength, and creep upon us in the night with the long knife of revolution.

Yours,
CGE Mannerheim

SUBJECT: Weapons and Training

Dear President Hitler,

I am pleased to hear that you are so forthcoming with aid to our poor, beleaguered nation. You have my heartfelt thanks. I hope to more formally align our nations, as we share so much in common. Indeed, you and I are both military men who have turned our swords to pens; and your style of governance and politics is admirable. Perhaps we might arrange a mutual alliance between Finland and Germany? In any case, I thank you again for your contribution to our struggle against the barbarians from the East. Finland will stand as a bulwark of freedom so long as I draw breath.

Yours in Friendship,
CGE Mannerheim

Atheneum, Bucharest, January 1919

King Ferdinand I was nervous when he stood in front of the parliament and read the letter from Finland out.
He didn't make an unimportant decision. This decision could change everything.
Ferdinand talked calm and slow.

CGE Mannerheim

After he finished the last word, he put the letter away and looked into the parliament.
"My dear people. It was a hard decision we had to make, but it is our final decision. We do NOT want war. But we do NOT want a communist Romania either! I hereby declare we will join the Anti-Bolshevik Alliance as we see our national souvereignty in danger. Get the flags out, this is a historic day in our history and will hopefully be remembered as such when the Bolsheviks knock on our door. We will be prepared!"

To: CGE Mannerheim
From: The Desk of King Ferdinand I

We will join your alliance. I hope this alliance will not endanger the world stability, but just looking how the Bolsheviks destroy one nation after another wouldn't be a solution for us either. My son and crown prince Carol II will be our delegate. Let us all hope we will not regret this decision.
May god bless you all.

Signed,
King of Romania

While we feel it an inaccurate statement to compare the barbaric Bolsheviks to our own revolution, we for the most part agree with the Finnish sentiments regarding the red scourge. Surplus weaponry from the war can be shipped to Finland on loan immediately.

President Hitler angrily addressing the Reichstag on the audacity of Communism

In the existence of the country since it's inception, we have never faced such a terrible plague approaching the lips of the nation. Communism, a terrible plague on the nation of Germany must be irradicated. The Red Front has caused too many issues in this country, from revolts in Pommerania to bringing issues to other states besides ours! However, while I encourage German people to volunteer for pro-White forces, I cannot commit Germany to the Russian war yet, due to political stability.

After listening to their translator interpret what Hitler said the lead diplomat said "We remind you that Australia took the majority of your territory, not us. We wish no anger or reparations for that war despite our loss of life. We simply come to offer the hand of friendship and to encourage peace with the Empire through trade."

Your alliance is of great interest to the Empire, as I'm sure you are aware the Reds have threatened us for taking an island which is rightfully Japanese. The Imperial Army is preparing to engage their siberian units that will be inevitably sent to attack us. We would also like to propose the cites of Tokyo or Keijō to host the conference, and while Keijō is much closer to Russia, Tokyo is totally safe from the Red Army given how we have already taken over the Russian ships of the Pacific. We offer the full support of the Japanese Empire in any campaign you mount against Russia or her allies.

From: The Emperor of Japan
To: The President of the United States of America
As I am sure you are aware the Russians have spoken many harsh words against us, threatening to attack our Russian territory. We ask you as our Big Brother America to supply troops and maintain our Russian holdings against the Red Menace. I must also insist that we be allowed to keep the Russian Fleet we acquired by helping the white government. As with China I believe we should keep the white Russians out of the negotiations about Russia's future.

Vladivistok, HQ of Allied Command, Capital of the Russian Federal Provisional Republic ( RFPR)

The RFPR itself was in the eyes of many the legitimate government of Russia in siberia of course. In other parts the communist mobs themselves were in no better shape. Ofcourse the glob of white russians didn't help either. Atleast the RFPF had control of parts of the country and a trained army of volunteers. It was unknown to many but only to the few that religion was banned in the communist parts. Reports coming in of unseen massacres. It is reported starvation rocks moscow as lenins barbarians keep shooting up orthodox schools. The President of Russia had very little power and was always attending parties. Most of the generals themselves were nobles of the previous regime. 4 hours of rationed electricity forced the populace to rely on Allied coal and wood. This included food as well and clothing among other goods. Communism was in all words-illegal they were given public trials and for the most part executed. The Trans-Siberian railroad was kept for purposes. The buidings of vladivistok were stained with propaganda of the Russian National Security Force ( The provisional military) and the Republics security service ( the secret police.) The only radio channel was Allied Radio Free Russia and mostly it spewed out victories, weather, entertainment, and propaganda.

Hitler said, "Of course, of course. Currently we do have a small military mission in China under the command of General Alexander von Falkenhausen, who has been helping the Kuomintang fight the various warlords, but of course, we can easily recall him. He might be better suited to helping the Entente." He pulled a sheet of paper over and said to an aide, "I want you to call Falkenhausen's military mission off the record." He said, "Elsewise, I'm glad to help Japan prosper, it's just our fear is that if you go conquering in Asia, the balance of power will be shattered."

Corrupt Dictatorship

Mussolini continued to see the various documents with the help of his seconds.

Until now Italy had managed to do several internal things:

  • Universal suffrage at 18 years for both sexes, although there was only one party to vote.
  • Reorganization of the working hours and the system of wages; although there were gaining for the workers too, this was only for those who proved themselves useful; Welfare help for those who could not work was negated and the retirement age raised.
  • Nationalization of all the armament industries and creation of a militia-minded population, trying to instill the cameratism of the movement into the national spirit and avoiding that useful supplies would be sold to possible enemies.
  • Seizure of all the Church possession in Italy outside sacred or function-aimed structures, that went better than expected when Mussolini also raised as paladin of Christianity, comparing the unified spirit of the followers to the cameratism of the army.
  • Reform of schools in order to give more funds to learning and physical education, which would be extremely positive...if the arguments of study were not revised too in order to reinforce the Fascism ideal.
  • Actual economic help to large families, in order to promote the growth of the population.

With these basis, internal Fascism was on the way to go, and now it was time to think to foreign affairs. Some countries condemned Fascist for his brutal repression of communism, but as Mussolini said " Communist stole the fish the good man took 5 hours to catch to give it to the one who slept all morning; Fascism learns to both of them how to fish better! ", which as the rest of the propaganda it had a great catching on the population.
The Red Front escaped in Piemonte were almost all been captured, and probably those who didn't already escaped in Switzerland or France.

As your officers may have informed you, many criminals of the agitators who calls themselves " Red Front " escaped to Italy some days ago believing the old corrupted government would help them. But this Italy says no! No to those who wants to sit on golden thrones waving ideals of equality when their true intention is only to bring disorder!
We have captured those criminals, and forced others to flee from our homes, freeing them of their stench. As a civilized nation, we believed it would best to transfer those agitators back to who will judge them for their crimes.

Your discourse against the communist plague are exceptional, and Italy wants to inform you of our full approval and support on the eradication of this evil from our countries!

Signed,
Benito Mussolini

From: The Fascist Kingdom of Italy, Benito Mussolini.
To: The Republic of Finland, CGE Mannerheim.

As much as we would wish to help you against the Bolshevik menace, Italy is in a process of rebirth into the strong and solid nation that was once, before the socialist plague would strike them. All we can give you now is our full approval and support, hoping to be able to do more into the near future

Signed,
Benito Mussolini

Polish Silesia, January 1919

The convoy of trains had taken days to reach their current destination. At the head was the armoured behemoth known as the Kaisers Schwert. Each bore the Imperial Eagle and Crutch Cross of the Heimwehr. Nearby locals wewre awed as the monster machine drove pass. One of her carriages had been removed and a large Howitzer had been added instead 'the Mistress' as her crew so called her. In his own carriage Field Marshal Count Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf studied the reports the Soviets had expelled Kolchak not good he thought. Meanwhie he was also looking at the Soviet actions in Belarus and the Ukraine undoubtably plotting to go after the Baltic Republics he noted. Meanwhile the train would soon reach it's destination he checked his watch "right on schedule." he noted with a smile he despised imperfection and tardiness for that matter.

Warsaw,Poland 1919

Field Marshal Count Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf watched as the gtrans pulled in to one of Warsaws many train yards. On a nearby platform a group of Polish soldiers stood watch. "Well Colonel ready the men we have an alliance to cement and communists to deal with he grinned. "Yes sir." Emil smiled as well as he relayed the order to his staff whom now scurried about to ready the troops.Hötzendorf soon climbed out of the carrtiage and gave a salute to the guards awaiting him "Who speaks German or Hungarian?" he questioned as they approached him and Emil Fey. As he awaited their response he looked back at his own men in their new grey uniforms. He smiled just like old times he reminded himself.

"Me," said one of the Polish guards who greeted von Hötzendorf, "I speak German. Please sir, follow this way and we'll escort you directly to the Sejm." The guard pointed to the vehicle next to them, and continued, "Besides you and Herr Fey, there is room for a few more of your men. Room for anyone you might need at your quarters in the Śródmieście (OOC: city centre). We may depart when you're ready." The guard then turned to the others, and instructed some them to the vehicle, and others to the rest of the Austrian Legion, all in Polish.

The Marshal smiled "Thank you." as he Fey and a handful of officers climbed into the car. Looking back at his troops they had begun to unload the supplies needed for any military action should it be taken. "Tell me soldier will I be meeting Herr Piłsudski?" he questioned. Fey meanwhile was buisy looking over cargo manifests to ensure everything was in place and had been put on the convoy. One of the few Austrian officers whom spoke Polish meanwhile was relaying orders to the rest of the legion.

We gladly accept this proposal. Your second issue can't get answered with just one sentence.
Officially we see the Bolsheviks as a dangerous threat to our sovereignty and to the peace of the world, but we don't murder them in our country.
That's why I would even more prefer to have fascists on top than Bolsheviks. Unfortunately, the fascists in our country are too radical.
I can assure you Romania won't fall to the Bolsheviks. We are a strong and solid nation and will stay strong and solid.

Signed,

"Mister President, the Czechoslovaks have ignored our request for a conference, and have instead condemned our outlawing of the Communist Party." Adenauer said, handing the reports to Hitler. Hitler frowned and said, slamming a hand down, "Czechoslovakia refuses to cooperate on the matter of the German people in the Sudetenland, correct?" Adenauer said, "Well they've just been silent, sir."

Hitler frowned and said, "Fine. Let the Czechoslovaks breed their own ignorance. I'm just wondering how the situation is developing in Konigsburg."

He opened the next one, "You have Prince Christoph of Hesse, who I've heard as slight connections to the Heydrichist party, and is anti-Hitler, which might cause Anglo-German relations to deteriorate slightly, but he is a powerful ruler." He said, opening another one, "Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia, she lives in exile I believe in Denmark, but she is the daughter of Alexander III, and the elder sister of the late Nicholas II of Russia, my dear cousin, and the cousin of George V." Schönbrunn Palace, January 1919

Seitz looked at the troubling reports on the Austro-Hungarian border. Already the communists there had launched skirmishes. The real government had scurried off to both Vienna and Bucharest it was disgusting. Bauer meanwhile had reported that the Hungarians were already crying for aid to remove the radical Bela Kun and the deposition of this Soviet puppet state. The Habsburgs meanwhile were scheming upstairs. half wanting to establish themselves in Hungary and the other half squabbling over the other states in between. He sighed as he looked out his office. "Fritz." he called to his aide whom then entered the cream coloured room. "Yes Herr President?" he asked. Seitz sighed "Summon the Romanian ambassador and also get me Archduke Joseph August and Minister of War Col.General von Steinstätten." Fritz then nodded before hurrying off to relay Seitz orders.

Moraczewski entered with a few diplomats and an interpreter for them, greeting Herr von Schleiser and taking his seat. Once he had settled down comfortably, the President of the Ministers said in German, "Good day, Herr von Schleiser. I trust that the matters of today do not strain the relation between Germany and Poland, as much as they currently are; that we can solve the issue of the Danzig Corridor with ease." The interpreter echoed his words in Polish to the other diplomats.

"Yes, mein Herr," replied the guard, "but unfortunately not the President of Ministers. He is currently in Königsberg discussing the Danzig corridor." The guard began to walk towards the vehicle, as well as the other guards who were meant to be coming with him. "We'll just get the engine started, and we'll be on our way."

"Did you hear about the Red Front being extradited from Italy to Germany?" asked another guard to the leader in Polish.
"No, Piłsudski won't like it."
"Neither will Moraczewski."
"And he won't bring it up. He's busy discussing Gdańsk, and if he brought that up it would only complicate things."
"I suppose, but who knows what will happen in Königsberg?"
"Well, I would rather von Schleiser didn't get his way, but I don't know either."

OOC: For future reference, if someone's speaking in German, I'll say Danzig, and Gdańsk in Polish. "No" apparently is a Polish colloquialism for "yeah".

Schleiser nodded and said, "Germany is a nation of people who are deeply scarred from the Great War." He said, "Danzig cuts the German nation into two, even in a minute way." He said, "There has to be a deal met between us to balance the power over Danzig. While the German leadership understands Poland's need for Black Sea access, Germany itself needs a land corridor to connect East Prussia and Pommerania." He said, "There are many ways for us to deal with this, ranging from Poland ceding the port and Germany supporting a Polish invasion of Lithuania and Latvia, giving you a large Baltic coast... or we can create a "Free State" in the corridor, with joint occupancy, or something. A settlement needs to be reached at least."
