Oradea near the Hungarian border, Romania, January 1919

Crown prince Carol II and prince Nicholas of Romania visited the 6. infantry regiment near Oradea today.
Carol II talked about his history with the regiment and the future plans for the regiment.
It is planned to improve the arms and supplies. Further the number of soldiers shall be increased.
Image

After they inspected the troops and talked to some officers Carol II visited the exhibition of some paintings of Jeno Pozsony.
At 7:30pm local time he and his younger brother Nicholas of Romania were driven back to Bucharest as suddenly a bomb detonated.
Both, Nicholas and Carol received medical care directly, but Nicholas died.

No member of the royal family has given a statement yet, only Prime Minister Vaitoianu gave a statement. He said: "The whole nation is in a deep mourning. There are hints this terroristic act is an answer to the joining in the Anti-Bolshevik Alliance. The responsable for the death of Prince Nicholas has been arrested a few minutes after the detonation. He tried to escape with crossing the border to Hungary. The execution by firing squad will await him."

"So another dead Prince. At least the King survived." said Hitler, frowning. The radicalists in Romania were too much of a threat to society... He frowned, and stood up and attempted to make his way to the Reichstag. Emerging onto the city street, he was met with the blaring of sirens and people crying and screaming. He looked to his right and saw the German Reichstag burning. His eyes widened and he shouted to the people to keep calm and go home immediately. He got behind the wheel of his Benz and made his way out towards the inflamed Reichstag.

The Reichstag on fire

Hitler arrived on the scene as the fire was being battled, with Konrad Adenauer, Franklin Roosevelt and Hermann Goering with fire blankets wrapped around their shoulders. He walked over and asked, "What in the name of God happened here?" Goering said, "Somebody set fire to the Reichstag, Adolf! We saw who it was before he leaped from a second story window into the bushes below." A policeman said, "We've apprehended a suspicious man found near the scene."

Hitler frowned and said, "This is going to change things... Scheisse."

Hungry 1919

Using the near collapse of the Hungarian economy and the possibilities of invasion by foreign powers as a catalyst, the Communist Party of Hungry along with sympathizers in the Hungarian army staged an uprising in the capital city of Budapest. The Communists incited massive anger at the transitional Hungarian government by playing on the nation’s economic woes and blaming it entirely on the ruling party.

Riots broke out in several major Hungarian cities and thousands of poorly paid Hungarian troops defected to the rising communist movement in the country. Two weeks later, in the city of Miskoic, Béla Kun the leader of the Hungarian Communist movement, declared the creation of People’s Republic of Hungary, which was immediately recognized by Russia SFSR and other communist states. The Bolshevik movement in Hungary controlled roughly 60% (mostly east and central) of nation and Russia has pledged militarily support PR of Hungry if foreign powers deicide to intervene.

Hungary was not the only county to face a communist uprising in the area. Communist movements sprung up in Estonia, Eastern Poland, Northern Romania as well as central Bulgaria. All were receiving financial and military backing by Russia though Russia denies all accusations of its involvement in the uprisings.

After three bloody weeks of urban warfare, the last of the white resistance in Novosibirsk were purged from the city. The city, as well as most of Western Siberia now firmly belonged to Soviet hands. Krasnoyarsk fell later in the week without much resistance as most of the White forces in the region had deserted by this point. The Red Armies then split into two forces; one would head south to support the communist uprising in Mongolia while the larger force would push east to Lake Baikal.

Meanwhile in the West, news of counterrevolutionary alliance forged by the imperialist powers began spreading in the ruling communist body. Paranoia towards the outside world began taking hold as the government split into two factions. One urged the rebuilding of the Russian Army and the acceleration of the global communist movement through Russian backing. The other, more moderate faction called for an isolationist policy and that Russia should conserve its strength by taking a more hands off approach to communism. While the two sides disagreed with each other’s view, both agreed that Russia was in grave danger. All along Russia’s western and northern border, the Red army put on high alert. Fortification project also began in Petrograd, Arkhangelsk as well as strategic locations in Belarus and Ukraine SSR.

The Baltic Fleet was to mobilize and transfer to the south, where it will help the Black Seas Fleet secure the area against counter revolutionary forces in Southern Ukraine. A third of the fleet composing of several gunboats and two cruisers are left to guard the waters around Petrograd.

The spreading paranoia also help speed up the formation of the communist union as all parties now saw the intentions of outside world. They must stand united and pool their strength if they were to repel the upcoming counter revolutionary invasion. A draft was crafted by comrade Lenin that called for the unity communism throughout the region. A council of states was set up to further plan out the processes for the creation of the soviet super state.

Three major issues was consumed the majority of the council efforts. One was the security of the nation, how to deal with the remaining counter revolutionaries within the union and the imperialist forces seek to destroy it. The second was the looming famine in the western regions of the union. Much of the harvest was either destroyed or left to spoil during the chaos of the Great War and the ensuing Civil War, drastic action must be taken in order to reduce the impact of the for coming hunger. The last was the rebuilding effort in the union. Just as with the fields, much of the infrastructure was leveled during the wars. The union must quickly rebuild its industrial base it was to again become a great nation.

Moraczewski read the paper, and was shocked by its contents. How could they have gotten that close to Warsaw?

"Holy... Poland is thankful for this information," Moraczewski said, "but there's nothing I can do about Heydrich in Romania; we've agreed to a non-aggression pact, and I do not wish to tempt either of us to violate it." He examined the piece of paper more carefully. "Why can't these bastards be democratic like everyone else? In this day and age, that is how one gains support. I digress. There will be a large-scale 'flushing out' when I return to Warsaw." He chuckled.

OOC: I think I made that sound more sinister than it actually is. The Polish court would likely have them arrested and locked up if anything.

Schönbrunn Palace Jan 1919

Seitz paced the room he couldn't be more infuriated as news leaked in from across Europe. "Fritz!" he demanded the tired aide then hurried in "Yes sir?" he asked his monacle dangling from, his eye. "Have they arrived yet?" he questioned at that moment the men in question knocked on the door or two of the men in question he supposed. Archduke Archduke Joseph August the former regent of Hungary then spoke "Herr President he entered followed by the elderly Minister of war Rudolf Stöger-Steiner von Steinstätten entered as well. "The Reichstag has been burned down and a Romanian Prince is dead reports are the damn communists are behind this. I've already had Ernst Kaltenbrunner begin to round up the communist leadership in anticipation and also the army is standing by on the Hungarian border." the two nodded in agreeemnet. "Herr President Chancellor Dollfuss has arrived." Fritz noted looking out the window Seitz soon joined him "Good no all we need is Renner and," KA-BOOM!!! A flash of light and sound sent the room almost flying.

Several minutes later Seitz ran back to were he was. Below him Dollfuss's car was aflame. The guards and staff dead. "My god." he awed. Soon the honour guards were already surrounding the scene and a firehose was brought forward as they attempted to douse the flames. Looking back into the room Seitz was relieved to see the others alright and rising. "Gentlemen have the palace evacuated under heavy guard. "Fritz have the Crown prince taken to the villa. General?" he turned to Rudolf"Assemble the General staff and war Minstry undoubtably this was communist retrabution for us joining the ranks of the anti-communist faction. And tell the army to ready Operation Savoy." he barked with trhat the general soon went off to fufill the order. The Archduke meanwhile sood near "What are you going to do?" he questioned "I have no doubts the Hungarians were behind this we've had rumors of communist infiltrators for days now since they seized power. We'll first deal with the reds here and then we deliver an ultimatium." he growled they would pay he though. Oh yes they would pay.

Oradea, January 1919

Corneliu Zelea Codreanu and Ion Antonescu stood next to their 'army'. 30.000 proud Romanians, mostly Iron Guard members, marched trough the city of Oradea. Codreanu waved. "Do you think the King will interfere?" Antonescu smiled. He stood a bit behind Codreanu. "Of course."
Image

After all troops were gone past the two goot on their horses and trottet behind. Antonescu smiled. "The military will await us a few kilometres before we reach the border to Hungary. They can't allow us to fight in the name of Romania."

"So what are we going to do?", asked Codreanu, the leader of the Iron Guard. Antonescu answered again. "Nothing. And that's how we're gonna win."

Just as they expected the march stopped as the first men reached the military. Only 5.000 soldieres stood there, visibly nervous. Codreanu walked to the responsible commander of the soldiers and discussed around 10 minutes. Afterwards he turned around, looked at the men and shaked his head disappointed. Antonescu watched everything from behind. Codreanu searched for a higher level to speak. As he stood in front of his men he performed a salute. "My men! The cowardly government has forbidden to cross the border and track down those communists who killed our Prince! They say they don't want war with Hungary and we have to accept the situation. I'm sick of these dogs without honor and so I ask you: Shall we really wait until they slowly capture Romania? Shall we wait until they loot our cities and rape our women?! No we shouldn't! We may not go to Hungary, but we can go to our own cities and track and hunt every single communist. Pentru România!"

Image

As he returned the soldiers saluted him too. The people were angry. Why didn't the government do anything against these communists even though they killed the Prince? Even badder, they seemed to protect the Hungarians. International reputation or not, a communist Hungary was a threat of immense force. Antonescu nodded at Codreanu. "Every newspaper and radio station will talk about this. We've reached our goal."

President Hitler stepping up to speak at the German Reichstag, now located outdoors at Nuremberg.

"Germans, in the short week or so I've been your President, I have been unable to express my most bitter anger at the current situation. Communists have burned our national parliament to ash, and then the Eisenwärter begin their insurrection campaign, pushing for my resignation and nay, the creation of a Fascist state in Germany, something that would condemn Europe to another bloody war. From their safe-house amongs the Eisenwärter in Romania, both Reinhard Heydrich and Joseph Goebbles repeat what Ernst Thalmann started, the destruction of a democratic state in Germany." He slammed his fist down, "The Eisenwärter subhumans will NOT be permitted to continue actions against us, neither will the Communists!"

He said, "I am pushing the national election forward to January 10 in order to elect the new government." The people cheered as he nodded and saluted. He said, "The German people are in a dark hour, and no matter what may happen, we will come through to victory over those who wish us harm. Hail to thee, Germany!"

Schleicher is expected to return to Germany in the next few days as the rest of the Konigsberg conference winds down with the final settlement of the city's borders, etcetera, etcetera.

King Alfonso XIII,
Madrid, Spain
January, 1919

"It is time to make Spain great again." King Alfonso XIII beat on the podium before him, "I have been contacted by the People of Guatemala. They do not want to live under the tyrannical rule of their dictator, Manuel Estrada Cabrera. They have asked for the help of Spain, have asked to return to her umbrella of protection; ever since her independence, Guatemala has struggled. I am happy to announce that Spanish troops have landed in Guatemala to end this tyrant's rule. To he people of Guatemala: abrazar el Ejército de Tierra, abrazar a sus salvadores. Hemos venido por ti." The people gathered in the stadium erupted into cheers and shouts.

Captain Pedro Lopez,
Off the coast of Guatemala,
Battleship Espana

Captain Pedro Lopez looked at the vast armada in front of him: the Spanish Navy was great again; supplemented by the Spanish Army, Guatemala would soon be captured. It was indeed a risky move: should the Americans see it as a push into their hemisphere, they would respond with violence. The hope was within the Spanish military that the Americans would be too busy with the Russians and fixing post-war Europe to handle such a petty problem. All of these problems weighed on Captain Lopez's mind as he lifted a telescope to his eye, peering at the troops running from their landing craft and up the sandy beach. Gunfire was sporadic in the distance; a second fleet was sailing from North Africa with the Spanish Legion, should the Americans decide to intervene. Captain Lopez chewed on his lip nervously as a now empty boat pulled away from the shore for another trip. "Que Dios esté con nosotros..." He muttered to himself softly.

Summary:
-The Spaniards have invaded Guatemala; five divisions are in the process of landing and another three divisions of the Spanish Legion are en-route
Why do you support and help people fighting for peace? I mean, you're only an artist.

In a surprise move the America First committe ( a mixed group of socialists and conservatives) welcomed home the american ambassador to germany. Ofcourse this occassion is solemn after his wifes death by being the last american victim of the spanish flu. The president himself has decided that a cooling period was needed after reports of potential communist uprisings in germany might happen after the burning of the reicgstag. If any thing the president made the right move. Socialist congressman Norman thomas's bill to remove the portions of the Wilson Financial Aid plan pertaining to the nations of yugoslavia, germany, and austria were approved. Hence restricting the Aid plan to france. The American Ambassador to italy was removed to paris today. It is not yet planned for a made decision on the new ambassador to italy. 12,000 more Americans were shipped off from Los Angelos Naval Base today as the situation in russia is getting more complex. In other news congress is considering a possible declaration of war against the Kingdom of Spain. Many call it a hyped up version of the potential 2nd Spanish-American war.

January 10

The ballot doors opened, inviting the people to come forth and vote. Later that day, Joseph Kennedy announced the results of the plebiscite.

"Germany, you cast your votes, and we have determined the fate of the nation!" Joseph Kennedy said, to cheering. "With 51.26% of the vote, you, Germans, have voted to reinstate the monarchy, under our esteemed Chancellor, Kronprinz Wilhelm of Germany! Hail!" He said, "Aswell, the Deutsche Integritat Partei has won 79.9% of the national vote, meaning that your new Chancellor is... Herr Adolf Hitler!" More cheering.

Schleicher said into the microphone, "Within the next few days, we shall coronate His Majesty as Kaiser Wilhelm III!" Cheering again.

The crowds began to uproarously move into the lyrics of the anthem of the Empire.

"Heil dir im Siegerkranz,
Herrschure des Vaterlands,
Heil Kaiser dir...

Fuhl in des Thrones Glanze,
Die hohe wonne ganz
Liebling des Volks zu sein,
Heil, Kaiser dir!"

Bucharest, January 10 1919

Still worried about the ongoing events in his own country, King Ferdinand I received the message of the reastablished monarchy in Germany.
He directly began to wrote a letter to Wilhelm III.

To: Emperor Wilhelm III of Germany
From: The desk of King Ferdinand I of Romania

My dear cousin and newly elected Emperor of Germany,
The outcome of the german elections have come to my ears and I am glad to be able to gratulate you on the reestablishment of the Empire.
Us both, Romania and Germany connects a long history. To fight against you in the Great War was a wrong decision with a good result for us.
We hope we two will never face eachother in a war again.
Lang lebe der Kaiser!

Signed,
Ferdinand I
King of Romania

Mussolini knew war was coming now. No, not caused by Hitler...not into a direct way. The German people had chosen a president who main job was to say no at the communism, while with the bolsceviks at east and the states who were helping the communists, all that was needed was the last drop.

The problem? Italy was not ready. The rearming was going slow and there were no fundings for speeding it except those for the other programs.

A little desperate for money, Mussolini decided it was time to male the colonies value something.
He would search for resources in Libia, hoping to find something useful.

OOC: Hitler as Chancellor? Oh dear, oh dear indeed...

Warsaw, January 10, 1919
The President of the Ministers returns from his discussion in Königsberg to Warsaw with mixed reception, as some within Poland feel that he has compromised with a menacing threat to Polish independence. Piłsudski publicly welcomes him with open arms.

The Senat has been abolished by the Sejm, citing a delay in writing legislation to passing it as the reason. The Sejm will continue as a unicameral parliament, and the position of senator has been absorbed into the Poseł.

Poland has begun rooting out Red Front and Heydrichist sleeper agents throughout the country, as well as stopping Bolshevik uprisings in Polesia and Volhynia. Chief of State Józef Piłsudski vows to lock up each and every single one of them for threatening to harm Poland's independence.

To Germany, January 10, 1919

To Chancellor Adolf Hitler of Germany,

The Polish government would like to congratulate you on your election to the position of Chancellor, and congratulate the impending coronation of His Majesty Kaiser Wilhelm III. We are confident that you both will be instrumental to stopping the Bolshevik threat. We have not currently had time until now to comment on the destruction of your parliament, and would like to give our express condolences to the victims, and to the people of Germany as a whole, to have a symbol of their freedom destroyed so. Moraczewski has recently returned to Warsaw from the Königsberg conference, and it would seem that the tidings for you, Gdańsk, and Poland are fortuitous. The scars of the Great War may yet be healed.

To that end, Poland would seek to form an economic and military alliance with Germany. As two nations who have emerged from the Great War, broken and in need of repair, efforts must be taken by all who value peace and strength to, well, be the peace and strength. The Soviets loom over Poland's eastern border, and communist uprisings are ongoing in Polesia and Volhynia. Our economies have waned after the war, Germany's for yours and Russia, Austria, and Germany's for ours.

A hasty reply would be much appreciated.

Józef Piłsudski, Chief of State of the Republic of Poland

OOC: Don't know when this is, let's assume it's before Moraczewski returns.

TO: All nations which heeded the call to arms and joined the ABA
FROM: CGE Mannerheim
ENCRYPTION: ULTRA
SUBJECT: Upcoming Operations

Dear Friends and Allies,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that we will be carrying out offensive strikes into Karelia in exactly one week. Our military is mustering along the border, and we will soon make an attack towards the White Sea. Enclosed (OOC: Telgrammed to you, at you request) is the full battleplan. However, all you need to do is to push them as hard as possible, concurrently with our attack. If we are able to cut them off from and eventually capture Murmansk and make Archangel untenable, then, thanks to the Japanese successes in the East, their only port will be St. Petersburg. And that is where we will strike.

Yours,
CGE Mannerheim

FINNISH TROOPS ON THE MARCH

Artillery, a mix of German and Russian pieces, opened up along the chosen area of the Soviet border, booming like thunder. Finnish soldiers poured across the border by the thousands, storming the unprepared Soviet troops. Morale was high; most of these frontline Finnish soldiers were German-trained and German-equipped; and every expectation was that they would soon scatter the foe and drive them from the field. The advance would maintain its momentum all the way to the White Sea. The whole operation was meticulously planned, and was part of an even bigger and more meticulous plan, which stood a very, very good chance of succeeding. The Finnish General Staff had thought out every possible problem, and if there was no plan for some of these situations, it was because they were unreasonable. Certainly, the Finnish troops who marched into Karelia that day were assured of their victory. But the real question was, could they continue with their victories?

Warsaw, Poland 1919

von Hötzendorf smiled as he approached the Polish head of state "A please Herr Piłsudski. And indeed it is time we settle this Bolshevik question. Howe do you wish to proceed already I have 10,000 members of the Heimwehr at my disposal to coordinate with your own troops should you choose to act against the communists." he added as he shook the other mans hand. "This is my new chief of staff Colonel Emil Fey veteran of the imperial army." von Hötzendorf added introducing the other man as well. "Sir!" a Austrian officer rushed in. "What is so important you," "Sir Chancellor Dollfuss is dead sir!"Hötzendorf was shocked as the man stated those words. "Impossible!" he cried. "Thats not all sir intelligence links the attacks to the communists. And sir Operation Savoy is ready." the elder amn then turned away. The Polish meanwhile seemed shocked as well. "What does command say?" he asked "Simply sir be ready." with that the amn saluted and stepped out of the room. Leaving the Polish and Austrians to stew.

Vienna 1919

Seitz stood bye as he watched Dollfuss's burned corpse be escorted to the palaces morge. Next to him Chancellor Renner stood bye "Whom will replace him?" the man questioned Seitz merely shrugged before speaking "The vice-Chancellor of course unless the conservatives put up one of their own. In the meantime though Herr Starhemberg will fill the void." he sighed. "I understand you linked it to the communists." Renner then added "No need to worry my friend you and the other Social Democrats have nothing to fear. As well i've ordered Kaltenbrunner to deal with the local leadership. And also their paramiliatry wing. Already herr Kurt Schuschnigg has been made deputy leader of the fatherland Front and also the Heimwehr seeing as Fey is in Poland." he finished as the ambulance drove away. Meanwhile behind him came a cough spinning around he found Minister von Steinstätten with the evelope. Renner then sighed "I take it we'll be follwoing the Romanian example?" he added glumly. Seitz then nodded "However we have the Hungarian nationalists behind us including some 11,000 soldiers under Archduke Josph August." the three of them then walked off to the awaiting car. And then they would arrive at the War Ministry

January 17

While the Finno-Russian Border had erupted into armed conflict, in which many Germans were calling, "Die Winterkrieg" (or The Winter War), a new event was taking place in the heart of the newly established "German Empire".

A Lutheran priest stood proudly at the Cathedral of Berlin's centerfold, with the middle-aged Kaiser kneeling before him. He stated, "Do you, Wilhelm, third of your name, stand before God and promise to take care of the people of Germany no matter what may happen?" Wilhelm said, "I swear before the Lord, that I will keep the throne in God's graces." The priest took a newly polished crown, the same worn by his father for the last time in November, and lowered it onto his head and said loudly, "By the Grace of God, I crown you Wilhelm the Third, Emperor of Germany!" Cheering erupted as Wilhelm III raised his head and bowed to his people and was met with the band in the church playing "Preussens Gloria"

Outside, the banner of the German Empire and Prussia were raised once more.

The German Empire was reborn again.

Chancellor Hitler frowned at the intelligence reports from Finland. They had invaded right after recieving the German weaponry from the Weltkrieg, and had now ignited a war with the Soviets, invading Karelia. He sighed and nodded and turned to the newly assembled German cabinet.

Image There was of course, himself. Chancellor Adolf Hitler, one of the most famous men in post-war Germany for his dedication to his "Deutsche Genossen", which was more of a term of connecting high power to low, than communistic. Hitler was charismatic, and above all -- loyal. At least, he was a bit egotistical to be speaking of himself like this.

Image Then there was his foreign minister, Konrad Adenauer. The former mayor of Koeln, this man was fierce and followed both Kaiser Wilhelm AND Hitler's policy of being aligned to the British as an ally, which had recieved German probing with a quite strong and warm welcoming -- They were even in deliberation to pick a new monarch, of which two or three of them were direct relatives of the Kaiser!

Image Next, was his Minister of Security and Intelligence (and defacto head of the Schutzestaffel, the German special forces dedicated to intelligence gathering), he was a crafty man with designs for Germany that even Hitler was afraid of at the moment, but he was a strong mind and strong loyalty to both himself and the Kaiser. A former comrade in the DAP, he denounced Iron Guardism at the same time Hitler did, and won the hearts of many for his leadership against the KPD.

Image The man in charge of the Reichswehr was Paul von Hindenburg, a veteran of the Great War, despite Hitler and Wilhelm III believing him to be directly responsible for Germany's defeat in the West, but there wasn't really anybody qualified to take his place. Hitler had pondered the idea of finding a replacement, but there was little to determine due to Hindenburg's military clout.

Image Hermann Goering... a very close friend of Hitler's was the Airmarschall of the Luftwaffe, Germany's newly reorganized air force. It was obvious that Goering was a fiercely loyal man, willing to serve the Empire in anyway the Kaiser or he chose.

Image Then finally was him. Franklin Roosevelt, who Hitler found to be a very fascinating man. He didn't seem to care of his new exile status from his homeland, nay, he seemed to fit right into German society, he seemed to look fear in the eye and SPIT in it's eye. Hitler was very impressed by Roosevelt's strength, and had nearly keeled over when Roosevelt brought forth several new reforms to the Reichsmarine, creating a new idea that even Donitz was impressed, and had approved of Roosevelt's appointment instead of himself. Hitler liked Roosevelt, and was going to ensure his future in Germany was bright... very bright.

Hitler looked interestingly at the profile of another seemingly bright man that might be important to Germany's future. Albert Einstein was a scientist that lived in Ulm, and had made many advances in science, and had two years ago, made the "theory of relativity" which had brought the world's scientists to order. This man was important, as was his counterpart in the United States, Nikola Tesla, who Hitler had tried to reach to develop some of his ideas, which Einstein had personally tried to bitterly disprove.

Hitler tapped his chin and waited for Tesla's response, then his eyes fell to Versailles... and to the map of the communist states. He frowned and said, "Germany must be allowed to arm to fight communism... but the treaty is brand new, and I'm afraid of France's response."

King Ferdinand I walked from one corner of the room to the other. "Damn! This situation is bad", he mumbled and looked at Eremia Grigorescu, the Minister of War. he sighed. "Okay, I want you to move 2 regiments to the Hungarian border. I will ask General Antonescu to lead those." Grigorescu nodded. "And what do we do because of the Russians?"

Ferdinand knew this whole thing was complicated, but he couldn't use his whole army for now. The fascists would probably just overthrow the government. "Another 2 to the Black Sea. I want increased alert readiness for all army troops and the marine. Our airforce shall get some fuel again. For know we can't attack the Russians. Not as long we don't know how to treat the Hungarians."

Greetings our Austrian friends. The Hungarian situation is not only a threat due to the communists, but due to our nacionalists too. If we don't act fast, they will get even more popular. Before we join this operation we would like to know what you plan exactly. If war, will we annex them afterwards? Who will get which territory? If we don't annex them after a possible war, who will form their new government?
The Kingdom of Romania looks forward to your answer.

In response to your letter the Austrian antion has decided that should we launch a joint-expedition a partition may occur as the Hungarian natioanlists in Vienna wish to see a restoration of Archduke Joseph August von Habsburg. The former regent of that nation. At the moemt it would be in our best option to partition the Hungarian nation between ourselves. i suggest we divide Hungary along the following lines:( OOC please use this to assist you, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_Hungary)
Westren Transdanubia, Southern Transdanubia,Central Transdanubia, Central Hungary would go to Austria as they make up the heart of the Hungarian nation. Romania meanwhile would recieve the regions of Northern Hungary, the Southern Great Plain and the Northern great Plain would be handed over to Romania. I can assure you this is a fair deal my friend.

In regards meanwhile to military preparations. We the Austrian nation will be placing 25,000 regular and 12,000 Heimwehr troops along the border with Italy. And another 30,000 regulars and 9,000 Heimwehr  along that of Czecholovakia. These troops will act as our defensive lines under Generals Arthur Arz von Straußenburg and Viktor Graf von Scheuchenstuel. The main Austrian assualt will conssit of 35,000 regular troops, 9,000 Hungarian natioanlist troops and 10,000 Heimwehr troop under Field MarshalAlexander von Krobatin, General Baron Wladimir Giesl von Gieslingen and representing Hungarian troops will be General Károly Bartha. Our armies will begin with an artillery barrage on the border. The Hungarian nationalists still in Hungary will asssist us as best they can. Now the Austrians will a pincer assault directed at the Transdanubian provines. Once those have fallen we will deal with logistics and supplies.

Once this has been completed we will push on to Budapest the heart of the Kun governemnt. You will also advance upon the capital once the eastren provinces have fallen. Should we be stalled by the pro-Soviets or should we be pushed back we have a reserve of 10,000 regular troops ready under Minister of war Rudolf Stöger-Steiner von Steinstätten whom will lead total defensive operations from Vienna. The reserve will act as a counter offensive unit as we should be able to repel the communists. Then if that occurs the unit will assist in a new offensive. However due to the communists lack of experince and equipment we believe victory should be achieved in a varying time period. In all the Operation has been dubbed Operation Savoy. Thank you.

Sincerely President-Regent Karl Seitz of the Crown Republic of Austria

Your plans look good to us. We already moved 2 regiments to the Hungarian border. The first will move into the Southern Great Plain and the second into the Northern Great Plain. Both together make up 75.000 soldiers, but we expect the Iron Guard to contribute something too. Their estimated number will be around 6.000 armed, professional trained men.

After we occupy the first region in the Southern Great Plain we will order one third of the soldiers of the first regiment to help out in the north.
Our airforce will bomb their fortifications.
Around 10.000 men will move up if it looks like we need some reinforcements.

Inform me when we're going to start the operation. Our commanding General will be Ion Antonescu. He may be a fascist but he is a perfect strategist though. If everything runs as planned Hungary should be ours in a few weeks, at most 4 months.

Radio Free America- " Where the Voice of the New York times is alive"

President Woodrow Wilson Assassinated!, White house and Congress lite explode!

While Campaigning in Boston in an event almost ironically similiar to a certain noble years ago. The president was shot after several blasts from a rifle on top of a nearby catholic church. His security detail open fired at the target who rolled down into a nearby dumpster and was apprehended shortly after. The president was taken to a nearby hospital along with his wife. It was reported at 5 pm the wilsons were pronounced dead by a doctor who had opened a window to inform the crowd of the presidents condition when it was reported by a nurse the president had passed away. His wife followed shortly in less than a few seconds. It was reported that doctors could barely perform anything to remove the bullets because of the constant stream of bloodloss. Soon afterwords congress and the white house itself went up in smoke at 6 pm less than an hour afterwords. The man arrested in boston was a person of colored distinction whos name was Abram donaldson. It was also reported 14 blanks were fired in the air by police on their way to scare away a so called lynch mob containing an irish foreman and several factory workers, a presbyterian, and several other members who were at the speech. He will be taken to a public trial in Philidelphia the provisional capital until the mess in D.C is cleaned up. Meanwhile police ended the chase for those responsible after gunning them down in a suburban home. It is believed they were members of the communist party considering the pamphlets and such.Meanwhile the war effort in Russia continues today as the Finns declared a state of war. Who knows how this nonsense will end.

Teniente general Daniel Ruiz,
Presidential Palace
Guatemala City, Guatemala

Teniente General Daniel Ruiz looked around the former Presidential palace; a real misnomer if you asked him, but nobody did. It was a spacious, beautiful building; and now that he'd been appointed Governor General of Guatemala, his new home. Five divisions landed in Guatemala; the war was quick, nothing like that European affair only a few years ago. Two divisions from North Africa would come handle the garrison duty; the men were experienced fighters, their officers veterans of the Spanish-American War. While fighting still raged in the western part of the country, the war was largely over. Only three or four major cities remained, and General Ruiz did not expect them to hold out for long. "Just like the King said: this is a new age for Spain." He smiled and walked out side of his new home.

SUBJECT: RE: Anti-Bolshevik Alliance

Mr. President,

Communism is but a strain upon this world; the brutal attack on the Russian family was disgusting. No God-fearing man would do such a thing. It is with great pleasure that I offer a division of troops, a newly formed specialty division called the Blue Division, to help support your fight against your disgusting neighbors. As my campaign winds down in Central America, I will be able to send more troops and aid to the valiant Finns. I have followed the struggle of the Finnish people for some time and I must say that you have caught my eye; it is through the bravery of your people and the many other peoples that we will be able to destroy the Bolsheviks.

I await your response.

God Bless,

Our troups are ready and our flags are raised. We'll march into Hungarian territory soon.
May god forgive those communists, because we won't.
I look forward to shake your hand in Budapest, Herr Seitz.

King of Romania

Oradea, Romania, 1919

Ferdinand I stood in the radio station and waited to speak. As his time was ready he cleared his throat with a sip of water and started speaking.

"My Romanian brothers and sisters,
Many of you suffered under the Great War and so did I.
All of you were caught in the jaws of death, but we escaped and built up our glorious nation once again.
But now one of our good neighbours, Hungary, has been blinded by the devil and conspired to the communism.
It is the duty of us all to defend our country from them and not only that.
It is on us to make the first strike before the death can lay his claws on us again.
I promise you not to let them cross the border into our beloved motherland!
Hereby I declare war on Hungary. May god lead us into victory. Faima pentru România!"

A few hours later the first Romanian troops crossed the border to Hungary
