Ace Combat Zero is supposed to be a serious game about the moral grayness of every conflict.
You get to shot down a giant laser tower, a bomber big as half an airbase, and a prototype superfighter that shots lasers.

Not that I have problems with that. It's just that seeing sequences like that interposed with a serious war story can be a little....jarring, IMHO

Not that I have problems with that. It's just that seeing sequences like that interposed with a serious war story can be a little....jarring, IMHO


It's got to appeal to a wider audience than just those who want to see how serious fictional war with fictional people is.
