Tribe Name: Rycurgus
Tribal population: 5,000
Flag/ emblem: Phi
Map claim: East-central area of the eastern continent
Summary of Tribal culture: Perioikos is loosely based off Classical Greek and Roman culture. The leader is called Perioikos, who installed the agoge as the method of teaching the inhabitants how to wage real war. Aside from warfighting, Rycurgus is notable for having skilled blacksmiths, even having achieved iron.
Rycurgus has a large slave class of about ten thousand. These slaves do not undergo agoge and serve mostly to do anything the citizens(known as Peers) do not do, which is everything but soldiering. The Peers focus entirely on fighting; slaves do everything else. It should be noted that the slaves are not slaves as we think of them, like pre-US Civil War slaves, and they are actually treated fairly well - Allowed to worship their own god(s), for example, not whipped to half to death at the drop of a hat, etc. But they don't contribute to the army directly, rather being logistics.
The Peers' fighting style resemble both a cross between hoplites and legionnaries - Phalanx-style warfare is what they focus on, but also incorporate structure of the Roman armies. The armor varies from cohort to cohort, but commonly seen are hamata and squamata armor, though banded mail is currently in use by the Knights, the flower of Rycurgus. Shields are aspidae-type, covered with a sheet of iron, sometimes bronze, with curtains going down the face of the shield to protect their legs from arrows. Auxillaries have oval scuta shields when acting as infantry or cavalry. Most frontline heavy infantry wear iron Corinthian helmets, and auxiliaries wear galeas. All wear horsehair crests in the Greek style, front to back.
The colour of Rycurgus is black. Soldiers wear black cloaks and most of the armor is painted black for battle, symbolic if nothing else.
The average Rycurgi heavy infantryman has stuff like this:
Aspis w/ arrow curtain
Hamata/squamata armor
Corinthian helmet
xiphos
2x Pila*
Food for at least 3 days
Black cloak
*= These pila are not made for throwing; in the Roman pila, the shank was softer iron, while the shank was hardened. In this model, both are hardened, so as to make them better for stabbing; plus, the pyramidal tip's ends are rounded down so as to make them easer to remove from wounds and armor.

Rycurgus also has the capacity to build polyremes and other heavy warships; Marines' equipment resembles cut-down infantrymen, though are given greater individual training due to the lack of phalanxes on ships.
Plans for this era: Become a superpower

Now we're more in my timescale.

Application form

Tribe Name: The Aurins
Tribal population: 5,000
Flag/ emblem: Here
Map claim: North-Western part of the so far unclaimed continent.
Summary of Tribal culture: The Aurins are a race dedicated to technology and religion, often mixing the two in strange rituals. They believe in the Aura, a powerful force that is in each and every person. Whilst they do have warriors and they are trained in the arts of war they do not like ling battles, instead wishing for quick strikes that end a battle or disagreement quickly, and their technology and training reflects this, with a large number of ranged weaponry. Always prefer peace first and then war. they have also mastered the basics of seafaring, using basic boats to catch fish of the sea, which is their main food, though htey are also farmers they are do not have the best ground for growing any sort of crops.
Plans for this era: Expand out on the continent, get better navy, to become more efficient generally.

Application form ( btw, sorry i'm a bit late! :lol2: )

Tribe Name: Tyber
Tribal population: 8,000
Flag/ emblem: The eagle figure in my flag
Map claim: Northwestern bay peninsula of the North Western Island, color: bright red
Summary of Tribal culture: The Tyber tribe was the most powerful of a group of five clans who once ruled the area. They all had similar culture, and largely the same heritage, but were locked in a bitter struggle over which clan was the most powerful. The Tyber clan won the resulting war, conquering the other four clans and uniting the people of the region. As a result, they revere war to the point of obsession. Much of their culture is based in combat. The Tyber clan holds tight control over the tribe, with the capital city/village using the name Tyberia. Their culture resembles that of the ancient Celtic tribes, with strong overtones of Mongol and Viking style influence.
Plans for this era: To expand the influence of the Tyber Clan, conquer surrounding tribes, and establish a large raider style navy.

Application form

Tribe Name: Havai'i
Tribal population: 10,000
Flag/ emblem: Yellow background, with a Blue Dolphin in the center
Map claim:
Image
(It's the light green)
Summary of Tribal culture: Founded by a group of tribals who were accustomed to the sea, the tribe soon took over lands near the cove where they now inhabit. They use the sea for most of their food, though rice has recent come into the diet. They also have a culture built around trade, and expansion, and a Pantheon of Gods who must be appeased though goods or blood of an enemy. The Chief God is the god of Sea, Ships, and Archery, who is praised for good harvests of fish, clams, and crabs. He also takes the form of a Dolphin, the animal which the Tribe revers, and often they will release dolphins caught in nets. They know how to use and work with Bronze, and are looking into Iron working. The military is organized into the Mongol style of expanding units of ten. The basic solider, a Koa, carries a Bronze-tipped spear, Shark tooth tipped arrows and a bow, and a sword. The armor is lamellar, made of interlocking bronze scales, and has a padded layer of cotton underneath. They carry wooden shields. The warships follow a trireme style, but trade ships are basically a platform of wood, a hut like structure in the middle of the platform, and a sail. Oars are kept on board in case there is no wind, or they need to sail against the wind.
Plans for this era: Expand Trade network, find new lands, expand in general.

AH, PMT, some FT.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate idealistic egalitarian with many strong convictions.
