In case you were wondering, he was disguised as a monk of the ghost path, who never speak, nor let anyone see their face. They do however carry a flute around, and are often expected to be able to play it, making them bad choices for ninja impersonations most of the time.

My next action would be perform for the Daiymo to thank him for the meal, and so someone would point out that he had a flute. That lucky bastard must have seen that coming.

Of course, he could always play the flute. And by "Play the flute," I mean "Use the flute as a blowgun to kill the Daimyo."

Most people actually liked the change. Also, the Daimyo was level 8. I was planning to have him vaguely duke it out with the ninja, but the Daimyo kinda failed his save against death. In the surprise round.

You DON'T fire your military without a big reason they are the first to understand. Especially in Feudal Japan, where honor is everything.

Also, I've found out that 20'th level ninjas are ridiculously OP. They can do 55d6+(5*str) 50d6+5d2+(5*str) damage to a target, and then also do 25d6 fire damage to the 5 foot radius centred on the target.

In one round. Beat that, full spellcasting classes!

EDIT: Damnations, it only works with shruiken. Oh well.

I would like to point out that the ninja can do 75d6+stuff damage to you in the surprise round. And if by some miracle you survive, the ninja does it again with a decent initiative roll.
