Which I don't do. Just because I make a character and intend for her to have sex at some point doesn't mean I'm going to force it. All of the sex that's happened in the RPs I've been in has been a natural progression of normal, romantic relationships.

I've read Shadow Over Innsmouth, Call of Cthlhulu, The Dunwich Horror, and The Thing on the Doorstep.

I've read Shadow Over Innsmouth, Call of Cthlhulu, The Dunwich Horror, and The Thing on the Doorstep.

They're all extremely related to Ancient Egypt, and are constantly tied there. It's pretty damn obvious in the case of Nyarlathotep or Azathoth, as they both have prefixes similar to Egyptian Deities of old.

So, you want all characters to be asexual robots?
If you want a character to be realistic, then they must have a sex drive. It doesn't need to be all-consuming and the only thing they ever think about, but they need to have some desire to get in someone else's pants. Otherwise, they're just not very realistic.

That's very degrading! I myself am an asexual and.... I actually know absolutely zero other asexuals IRL, so it's probably not unrealistic to have very few asexuals in all of fiction.

Depends on the type of RP. Sometimes your character doesn't have the time to occupy him/herself with that. I never said I wanted them to be asexual robots, but the high occurrence of sex that you seem to have in most of your RPs, as you mentioned, bothers me somewhat.

One can tell a nice story and explore a world while still having scenes of lesbian sex. They're not mutually exclusive.

I just feel it ruins it a bit for me, especially if many of the elements are too geared towards sex, sex, sex.

I don't mind sex as long as other elements in the story are okey and the sex makes sense, but random orgies and - for example - making a character who's "made" to have lesbian sex is just complete spoilage to me :/

Honestly, it was one of the reasons I lost interest in Zark's RP. I tried going along with it, but it gradually choked my interest to death.

My tactic there could be summed up as "don't give a fuck."
I simply skimmed over the non-plot or battle important posts regarding her, and did my own thing.

So, I was thinking that it might be interesting to have a fantasy roleplay revolving around a small group of adventurers/mercenaries/something trying to earn their daily meals, a bit like the start of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance I guess? But more light-hearted, or something. I don't think we've had anything like that recently, though I do admit that I don't check on new roleplays that much, and I thought I could put the idea out here, even though it's mostly just that, an idea. Thoughts?
