@Const
Oh, who doesn't say it? Maybe you will be capable of using a Sutherland...
I still have to choose the Mech types I'll use for every nations, and their image claims.

I'm sure there's also so few designs that we probably couldn't even make an RP based around it. I suppose the alternative would be to just have a normal mecha RP and then allow people (like me) to use Pokémon-based mechas. It would also help attract players who maybe don't want a Pokémon mecha.
Well, makes sense. It sorta saddens me that the RP would then deviate from its original idea, though.
Still, this idea would make awesome fan-fiction material, if one was good at writing and picked it up.

Pretty much, every spell is cast via summoning circle, and there are three levels: three-rune, five-rune, and seven-rune. During the course of the game, you collect 14 different runes that you must combine together to discover new spells (which the game gives you no hint towards). Then, when you cast the spell, a magic circle appears on the ground, and each of the symbols activates one at a time, making larger spells take longer, and when it's finished, the spell happens. It's really quite unique compared to virtually every game out there and makes magic seem a lot more "realistic," especially considering the inherent pseudo-realism found in the Lovecraftian setting of the game.
Also, four of those runes are alignment runes as the energy for the spells are conjured from one of four Ancients which pretty much gives it a rock-paper-scissors style of gameplay. There's the red Chattur'gha, emphasizing physical power which is strong against the green Xel'lotath, emphasizing mind and sanity, which is strong against the blue Ulyaoth, emphasizing magick and the planes, which circles around and is strong against Chattur'gha. Finally, there's the purple Mantorok, who once bound the other three and is, thus, strong against all three but cannot be used for summoning monsters.

Sounds a lot more complicated than "Shoot fire or ice or whatever and occasionally give it a name if you want it to do something special!"

If you could work that out into an RP, that would be pretty neat.
In other news: I just finished the second edition of the Book of the Multiverse, since Sentinel left. Now I can go sleep.

Eh...
It could blow up pretty easily. I'm looking forward to the new Godzilla movie and that's about it. Nothing else that really looks that big, not to mention that Summer movies are typically actions, which is one of my lesser favorites. Winter's always a good time for movies.
