I'm seeing it as constructive, Cean ;)

Well, perhaps the Outsider is more of a mythical entity that - because of the uprising of technology - has faded away somewhat, BECAUSE of the fanciful science. Still, it doesn't make the outsider any less real. There would be three 'factions': Rapture, with their plasmids; Columbia, with their vigors; and the Outsiders, with their mythical powers.

The Outsiders would obviously be the strongest, but in fewer numbers.

See, that seems better. It'd also justify why there are fewer Outsiders; The more people come to rely upon technology for their power, the less he is needed, perhaps?

Indeed. Maybe implement this kind of thingy where worship increases its power, so less worship means that the Outsider can't divide up his powers to go to so many different Chosen Ones. I remember that it's used somewhere, but I can't recall where.

It certainly fits with why the Outsider can only be contacted through his shrines.

Sounds like American Gods.

Maybe the shrines could act as nodes which transmit his power? Less shrines means less people that can receive his gift.

It's starting to take shape! :)

Its an easier way to combat their power than deconverting them. :p

Destroying the shrines? Hmm, yes. It would prevent new recruits from being granted their powers, but once the mark is made you have a permanent bond with the Outsider.

Anyone feel like a Star Wars RP? I don't know if I could OP, but given my knowledge and the typical time I have, I could definitely CO-OP. Or make an RP, but have somebody be a CO-OP that does most of the managing while I make the plot. I just have the current ability to manage everything.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Not enough people and I became busy at the time. I could bump it forward, but I need around five people at minimum.

Ive been thinking and im not sure how it would be done, but i think a PlanetSide 2 type rp would be kind of cool. It would still take place on Auraxis, but im not sure if people would control individual soldiers or platoons or what. If i could get a little help, im pretty new to rp'ing in forums. All help would be greatly appreciated.

It still a basic concept. Lots of work that needs to be done, no idea when I'll ever get it done.

Might make a new thread to 'create' this new world, with the help of others.

I personally don't have much knowledge of the worlds you are using, so I would find such a thread immensely helpful.

P2TM, Easter Report.

There is quite an influx of fantasy RPs, atleast one or two Warhammer 40k ones, two urban fantasy high schools (Elfen and Sylvan), and All Bombed Out, which is based on a quite quirky webcomic I used to read.

But the other RPs?
AWRPs. In 2013. You could basically eliminate the A, because everything happening in the near future is technically not alternate history.

I admit that I hate that genre of RPs for reasons that neither I can understand: I'm prejudiced against them. I'm racist towards AWRPs. My secret wet dream is seeing them segregated to a sub-forum, not cluttering space for character RPs.

...but apartheid fantasies apart, I admit to that nicely done AWRPs, done in an original setting, deserve to be respected. Too bad you can count them on your hands

Blockbuster Alert

World War Z is coming out this year. Expect plenty of RPs featuring zombies, by that time. Not so much RPs about Brad Pitt, though. Anyways, meh.

Pacific Rim comes out in July. Or June. Can't remember. If it goes all well in the box office, maybe it will spawn a new wave of Mecha RPs on NS. Hopefully not completely ripping off the movie.

And you, who do you prefer? Zombies, or Giant Robots? (Or superheroes? Man of Steel is coming out this year, IIRC...)

Take away the zombies, and it's basically X-Men.

Really? Never really got into X-Men, so I wouldn't know. As far as I know from watching the movies, I've never seen a giant robot.

Giant robots, because superheroes have been seen a bit too much around here, same with zombies. Or at least that's what I think.

@Ceann: Same here.

Your combination of the three sounds nice enough though. However, why would giant robots and superheroes fight when there's zombies out there?
