Save Our Captain (White Wolf Crew Only) OOC

Postby The Norak Federation » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:05 pm

IC
What happened:
It has been a good week. Partying, sleeping, more partying, getting supplies, you and the rest of the crew have never had a higher morale. Without a doubt, Grenspor was a positive choice of a place to stop at. Not only did you get to relax, you also got a few chances to make some money of your own, whether legal, like selling a few things, or not, like stealing what you couldn't buy. Every single crewmate is happy.

Till Now.

It happened. The Captain warned it, and it occurred. During all this pleasent time, the Captain decided to be alone for a bit, to find the few last things he wanted before departing lovely Grenspor. As he did this, the village millitia and soldiers from the army ambushed the Captain. He put up a fight, but Captain Skree is in chains and caged, and the slayer, Asuaw, is on his way to dispose of the lycanthropic Captain.

You must find him! The ship needs its Captain! If the slayer kills Skree, you as a crew are finished!

As the title says, you must find the Captain, and bring him back to the ship. Fail, you lose. Sounds easy?

This game/rp will be focused on your actions, finding, and retrieving the captain while encountering millitia, soldiers, and the slayer. Fighting, sneaking, etc will all be decided on a 6 sided dice. You may rp, but your posts will have to co-exist with the dice results.

Rules on movement:
You may move one street per turn. Only enemy that may move is the slayer, or other enemies when intimidated (see below)

Everyone will post where they want to move, (north, south, east, west), then i will put in what is found, what combat takes place,. Then it will begin the next turn

Surprising/Intimidate:
When encouter enemy on movement, i roll a dice. If 6, you surprise attack the enemy and gain a +2 on your combat dice roll.
If 1, you intimidate/distract, and the enemy move one street away in any random direction, but will move back next turn!
If a five, you slip past the enemy right to the next street, no fighting. However, if you cannot move in that direction, i choose one, judging by your previous movements.

The rules on fighting
Millitia: Must roll a 4 or above to defeat.
Soldiers: Must roll a 5 or above to defeat.
Slayer: Must roll a 6 or above to defeat. Moves 2 streets at a time. If defeated, moves one street away, and waits a turn. Enters the map on turn 6.

If two enemies on one player: -1 to combat roll
If vice Versa- +1

If you lose, you become unconscous for three turns, then reappear one street away, (mostly due to stupid guards).

Special Characters:
The Captain: In a cage, unconscious. Bring him to the Ship to save. Moves with largest group of players. Is not able to sneak/Intimidate. If ends with the slayer in the same square, and no one is guarding him, you lose.
Blacksmith: A loyal man to the Captain, this man will release Skree from his cage, allowing sneaking and intimidation.
Mayor: The Idiot who claims all the credit. Defeat him by rolling any odd number, and he tells you where the Captain is.

Map of Grenspor

Brown: the White Wolf
White: Streets
Black Buildings: Place where slayer could appear
Dot: Where everyone starts, and where the captain needs to be brought.

As time progresses, i will add more to the map what you find. (guards, blacksmith, etc)

In Cove had spent quite alot of time in the town, attempting to interact with the townsfolk and experience groundfolk life. this was hampered by the fact she was an octopus of considerable size, but she managed. between aquiring a scroll of basic human spells (none of which she could read) and one disasterous attempt at human Alchohol, she would have considered the trip a full success.
that is, until the town started to attack.
In Cove could not conceive of anything so harsh, rude, and violent. She had barely managed to escape from a small clothing shop by smothering most of her attackers with the fabric, but she had received a nasty gash from one of thier knives. no real injury, true, but one that hurt all the same, and worse for what it signified.
worse then all of this, the captain had not been so lucky. as she had fled to the ship, she had seen him amidst a horde of gaurdsmen. she had not thought to aid, having heard that the captain was something of a combatant, but apparently not as much as she thought. he had not returned.
the crew sat belowdeck, hiding from the sight of the city that had betrayed them. her skin flashed and morphed with each word.
"So, should we leave now? I do not beleive the captain will return."

"But who prays for Satan? Who in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most, our one fellow and brother who most needed a friend yet had not a single one, the one sinner among us all who had the highest and clearest right to every Christian's daily and nightly prayers, for the plain and unassailable reason that his was the first and greatest need, he being among sinners the supremest?"

The captain wont return that we know is true, but can we leave without him? He has the map and the know-how to control a ship.

Well, I may not have posted since about page 2 of the other thread, but I'll post in this at some point, I guess.
