Chapter 1: The Decision

(Do not post in this thread unless you have been accepted here)

Before there was space, before there was time, there were beings far more powerful than any mere mortal. They were the Gods! With their combined powers they created life, a world, and everything thereon. But how did it happen? Why did they do it? That is NOT where our stories begin.

We begin in the year AD 2012. The Gods have basically given up on any chance of humanity returning to them, as many have actually combined them all into one. There is debate about destroying this world and starting over! Humans are the only sentient species left roaming the land. There are still merpeople in the water, demons under the Earth and dragons in the air, but all djinn, goblins, ghouls, etc. have been wiped out.

Before time

"So it is agreed?" Proselyte asked his fellow deities? "We will create an Earth!"

After the planet was made, all of the deities added their gifts to the world, along with a sentient species. Being one of the Chief Gods, Proselyte went first. He added oceans to the world, rain, lakes, rivers, etc. He added an eight-legged creature to prowl the deep, one that resembled himself. He then added a sentient creature to rule the deep. Proselyte created something similar to his friends, along with a tail to help them move throughout the sea.

Then, he removed his indigo ring, hiding it in a cave, hidden in the ocean. If anyone should find it, they would be a very powerful human indeed.

AD 2012

Proselyte watched the humans destroying the planet that he and his fellow deities had worked so hard to create. They had destroyed nearly every other sentient species, cut down the trees, polluted the waters (which Proselyte had taken extra offense too). They had forgotten those that created them, creating for violent versions for the Norse, more sexual versions for the Greek and Romans, even ones that demanded sacrifice! In the end, each of these falsities were uprooted and destroyed. However, it was by an ever worse offense. A group of people, descended from a descendent of Proselyte himself, had combined all of the deities into one. Then, much later, another descendent of Proselyte, who somehow had his powers, led a new version of this religion across the world. After a few millenia, it covered nearly all of the globe.

"What are we going to do, brothers and sisters?" he asked his fellow deities as they debated on how to deal with these humans.

Sarah suddenly awoke with a gasp of terror, before remembering that she was in her bed, in the safety of the White House. She sighed, as her breathing slowed down. Yet one more night of no sleep for the President. She had one of those strange dreams again. Dreams of strange, majestic individuals. Dreams of those individuals sitting in assembly and discuting. Dreams of these....gods destroying the human race.

She noticed that the Indigo Ring, which was an heirloom from her since disappeared father, was glowing of a faint indigo light. Sarah, in a mix of fear and curiousness, picked up the ring. Nothing happened, and she tried to wear it.
Then, she screamed.

Sarah felt her body being basically lifted away from this....plane of existance?
The president soon found herself in front of a giant, menacious individual with the features of an octopus. Little did she know, that she had actually blood ties with it.
She stood in front of Acolyte, frozen in fear, unable to speak from the sheer shock of that vision only.

Before Time

Seldarine had watched with interest as the creation of a new world took place but knew that such creations would one day turn against their creators. She knew he must take precautions to prevent such a event taking place, she cared less if the others were forgotten but Seldarine would always be remembered in the Dreams and Nightmares of the races of this new world. Such a power was what Seldarine had always desired. The ability to grant ones greatest wish or cause ones greatest fear to take place in the dream realm was something that Seldarine looked forward to a power that she would always protect against possible destruction of this World.

2012 AD
Seladrine Goddess of Dreams and Nightmares merely laughed at the question that the Chief God had asked,"What are we going to do?"
Her realm of Dreams and Nightmares had grown stronger over the years because all mortals had to sleep and dream those who angered Seladrine was forced to have terrifying nightmares that could kill a person. This thought flickered across her mind as she decided to answer the question.

"What is it that you wish to do? Recreate the world once again and only have yet another World turn against us? We can not destroy the World we have created simply because they have forgotten and turned their backs on us. A few of us still have strong ties to the World while others have been forgotten. I propose that we let this World continue until it destroys itself or there's a small chance they will redeem themselves to us."

Seldarine refused to allow this World to be destroyed because a few of her brothers and sisters felt as if their pride had been taken away from them. If anyone was to blame for the world turning away from some of us its only those fools who grew so prideful that they believed the World would never forget those who created them.

Before creation...

Merva sighs, watching each of the gods add their gifts. They were hardly the most... entertaining of prospects. So he decided to meddle, a little. When the time came, he added knowledge, a basic intelligence of pure facts that the main species, the 'humans' would own.
And then he added a process to hide that, to corrupt it, to murky it so no human would hold pure knowledge. Merva added lies, giving the humans power to falsify words and statements and evidence. After a moment of thought, he also added illusions, to hide the knowledge behind words and vague definitions and meanings, as well as actual illusions, whether they be grand or as small as simple as making a piece of gold disappear from one's hand.
He also added his own creations, winged creatures with feathers in a variety of sizes and shapes. 'Owls', he called them, an anagram of how he predicted the world to progress, though that was of no importance. He set them free into the sky, soaring and ready to prey on smaller, weaker beings.

Smiling at his work, and giggling in apprehension of what was to come, Merva took his grimore and hid it beneath the earth and the rock, allowing the knowledge that spilled from it to saturate the earth, leaving the humans to discover what he believed would ultimately become their downfall.

Modern day...

Merva was not as concerned as the others about the destruction the humans had caused. He mostly found it entertaining. The smarter they got, the more they had to fight over it. Since the discovery of fire, the humans had done nothing but quarrel between themselves. They'd slaughtered each other, other animals, under false gods and ideals, huge, detailed lies that Merva himself could not help but approve of. He loved the idea that his plan had turned out so thoroughly well, that such lies had spread across the planet and caused so much unrestrained havoc. So he was just a little disappointed when it was proposed that they had to be 'dealt' with.
"Humans have become smarter than we could ever have imagined... Really, they have found ways to hide things and lie out of simple paranoid delusions of others trying to destroy them, and who could disapprove of that, hmm...?" He giggled, thoroughly ready to annoy any deity who thought otherwise.

"These humans are a self-destructive race. I'm just surprised they're still here. Not only that, but they're seriously damaging the Earth, with their spilt blood and bodies. They nearly wiped out the Dwarven race, who should really be thanking me for their survival. And another thing! The Humans no longer worship us! They worship some stuck-up dead hippie call Cross or something, and some bearded fellow called Ahmed! This is surely wanting of punishment!"

"Then again...their economy has been a fun game to play with. Especially something called the 'stock market'."

Before Time

Darksk'y was next in line. He created a two-legged creature, obviously in his own image, with a tail and fur, a maw that protrudes from it's face with sharp teeth for eating flesh and breaking bone. It's feet had claws to capture it's prey, and he granted it the gift of being able to bond to one another, forming a union, a pack, the ability to work together, a sort of sense of community and companionship for what he called "Canines". The canines especially liked him, he spent many a hour with them while his fellow Deities added their mark to the world around him. He taught them how to behave, how to be loyal, to give companionship to each other. How to love and care for, how to further their own species. He cared for his dogs, and they cared for him. He took his ornate skull and walked a ways away, thrusting it into the earth deep below what will become Oslo, Norway.

AD 2012

Darksk'y looked upon the world with disgust. These humans. He thanked them for sharing companionship with his dogs, but they also made them fight. Hunted them. Killed them. Roasted them as sacrifice for their "Ancestors". Their pollution tainted the world, they lumbered the forests his packs once roamed, almost completely forcing them from many areas of the world. Most of the "Dogs" now didn't look like his original creation, they have tainted that as well. They even destroyed his sense of Unity and Companionship, a trait he had willingly bestowed upon Humans back during the Creation. People no longer lived with their families and friends. They lived with their parents and left them when they could. And he was furious.

"Yes, we must destroy this world. They either destroyed or corrupted what i worked so hard to put there, they misuse my gift by forming these massive Nations just to wage war upon them. This isn't Unity, this is Chaos. They destroy the planet with Radiation, bombs, Nukes, pollution! We cannot allow this to continue." he said, petting the only pure canine left, which had died long ago, true, but was reincarnated in the same body with the same memory, and has been his loyal pet ever since.

Before Time
Geomboa had added actual dirt, stone, etc, so nature and minerals were able to be added. Geomboa also added snakes, including his personal favourite, the boa constricter. With the different snakes, there will be a more diverse biosphere and each will have different diets.
AD 2012
Geomboa raised his tail, showing he needed to speak. "Well," he said when he was noticed. "Sssince we put so much work into creating a home for life sssuch as humans, dwarves, etc, why not just sssomehow guide them in the right direction? Or have humans ssstart over? How sssay you, Proselyte?" He hissed a little and flickered his tongue. "Keep that in mind. Now I mussst check on my temple.. Musssn't have anyone sssteal my sssceptor or orb." He slithered out of the meeting and headed for the portal for Earth.

Once on Earth, Geomboa was on the edge of the Amazon. He sighed and shapeshifted into his human form. Hate this form, he thought. Why are humans so.... His throughts disbanded and he started walking through the jungle to his temple.

"I agree we should reprimand them but not totally destroy them. I would suggest killing exactly one half of them in a way that they couldn't deny that we exsist. We release some new races into them, a plague or two and a skeleton army and they will change their tune." Chemosh said. He really didn't want to start all over after all his domain got stronger the world stayed around and getting new people to believe in him was incredibly hard. He remebered when the first human died the entire community was shocked at it but not one of them thought to ask to bring him back. No one had even thought that it was possible to die let alone that they could come back afterwards. It was centuries before the first person thought to bring back someone. He had a big spike of followers then until they realized the restrictions of the dead. It wasn't until somewhat recently that the humans under the pressures of the world and war started praying to him. The World Wars were particulary good wars for him and if they destroyed half the earth it would be almost certain that his followers would increase immensly even with a smaller population.
Can you imagine a world without hypothetical situtations?

Logic is like thumbs, it is not necessary but it sure is helpful.

"Well if we dont completely obliterate them, i agree with Chemosh. Perhaps, i could put in a new sentient species..." He thought, rubbing his fur under his maw. "Yes. A couple thousand canines in exactly my image... I could guide them, teach them to see the signs of what is right and what is wrong, yet still letting them develop largely on their own... Yes. I take back my words and vote to let this earth stay, though we drastically reduce the Human population with near-apocalyptic events to reinforce our existence, make room for the old races and for a few new, And see if we can save this planet." Darksk'y said, peering at the planet. "However if this fails, if the humans start taking over again and don't change their ways, we must take what's still pure of our gifts from the planet and either let it fall apart or destroy it mercifully."

Before Creation

The void let out a growl as an ethereal form let loose a tendril; and then another, and another. These tendrils wove into the creation that the Gods were crafting, pinning being to being; allowing matter and energy to communicate. These tendrils pulled stout and tight, creating a webway of information between everything in existence. Not only that; but between minds were the strongest connections made. And in humans came new perspectives as the tendrils tethered their minds; the ability to forgive. A unique gift among them. And its polar opposite, vengeance, was brought into their hearts as well.

A final gift was given. The virtue of Honesty was placed upon the hearts of Man, and by Baupet's hand, it would burn their hearts to tell a lie if they were goodhearted.

The Messenger recedes now, having given his gifts unto creation. The void-like, hollow eyes of his skull give a blank, disparaging look towards Merva; the crafter of lies, before he descends himself unto the Earth, forming his Pantheon in the North of the Western Hemisphere, nearest a massive lake. There, he buried his mortal form, and sealed with him his Scroll of Bau.

Present

For countless years, the Messenger had laid dormant; tending his webway of thoughts and ideas. For years, he presided over the humble Messengers. The humans, and the creatures they used, that transmitted messages... All were under his protection. In the beginning, there were many who would pray to him for protection their journeys, and Baupet would give it without quarrel. But as Merva's inventions, the lies, took root, the prayers slowly faded away, and Baupet was forgetten. Quietly, the God of Honesty and Forgiveness lay beneath the Earth, simply watching as human civilization grew.

The invention of the internet was something he never suspected; an artificial webway of information? The humans could make this? Truly, the Messenger had one aspect he could be proud of, and his tendrils loving caressed the human's webway with their own blessing, and grew through it like a vine along the fence. Humanity could be forgiven for its faults; that much Baupet was certain.

The God's ethereal ears listen upon the conversations in Heaven, and through his webway he transmits a message through his psychic coils.

"The humans are not beyond saving," A growl pulses through the void. His voice sounds as though his throat were drier than a desert, yet with incredible clarity and bass. "They have done what they can with what was given to them. By us. They've adapted, responding to their environment as all imperfect beings might."

In the ether, the deity's psychic form appears, restrained, to the Gods. "Perhaps," he implores. "If Merva had not added his taint into their hearts, they would be a kinder race." He almost snarls upon mentioning the name of the God in questions. "We would be so quick to blame them, when we ourselves are not free of such taint, which has been passed unto them." He softens, just a bit. As Baupet was God of Honesty and Forgiveness, he was also the God of Vengeance. He had a dark side too.

Finally, he addresses Merva's remark directly. "Perhaps, if they decide to destroy the humans, they should destroy you as well? You're the one who's clouded their minds with your vicious deceits."

"I myself do not wish to destroy this planet." Proselyte added, "Partly, this is simply my great compassion. However, there ARE other reasons. The Merpeople and the Dragons, the only other sentient species left, still worship us. Also, our blood decendents live down there. Including one Ms. President Sarah."

Proselyte looked over to where Sarah stood.

"Because of this, I agree we should destroy only half of the population. But why not have SOME fun with it?" he asked, "Let us relieve tensions between us? Let us wage a Godly war for two thousand years? Choose those who represent our domains the best to help by allowing them to use our artifacts? Cause a worldwide war to rage for two hundred years, fighting alongside them in our most human forms, or protecting the dragons or Merpeople. Then, after two hundred years, travel about fighting in our more godly forms, such as mine of that purple octopus? Finally, after one-thousand years of battle, we reveal our Godly forms. THIS is when we truly destroy half of the population."

Proselyte thought about this plan, then remembered something.

"Is there not a group already trying to do this on Earth?" he asked, "Or something similar anyway. Trying to keep the population down to five-hundred million? Or was it five-hundred thousand?"

Shadows enwreathed Cotillion as he flickered in and out of clarity, and pondered the earlier question from Proselyte.
Then he replied; a cold, dull and inflectionless tone in his voice. "We could kill the more influential mortals who guide them in their foolish ways, these proponents of stupidity. And ensure that the staunch disbelievers are left to flounder without leaders whilst our followers are on the ascendant. The numbers of "heathens" will decrease drastically, and the remainder will be picked off at leisure. That is one way among many, of course."
Many indeed. For every one plan he told others of, he had a million more variations, some completely different and some similar in a myriad array of details and subtleties. It helped to have good plans as the God of Assassins, as well as Shadow and Darkness. Whatever the majority of gods agreed with, he was likely to do the same. At least, openly.

Before time

Tak'tya very much enjoyed the idea of an Earth...countless designs to improve upon, till the end of time...

Of course, there were already prototypes she'd made, models of heuristics and adaptability that she'd made, but she hadn't yet made an organism with a world. With this new idea existent, her old games just weren't enough.

Knowledge was already there, so Tak'tya created two different things. The first was Change, in body and mind, a capacity to add new models and ideas.

The second was War. In different forms among animals than humans, but in all cases a method to weed out the lesser beings. True, this wouldn't always work perfectly, as some lessers might be armed by other greaters, but the better pattern had a tendency to assert itself eventually. She was pleased...

2012

Tak'tya didn't receive her summons as soon as the other gods. She was busy adding to the ring of defense they'd placed around their universe. Forces from the outside were beginning to rear their ugly heads...

But when she received the summons, she was horrified and curious at the same time...one the one hand, the Gods would destroy her incredible experiment along with everything else on this Earth, but on the other...the humans were getting close. Very close to the point where they could challenge the gods, and this was very much something she wanted to test...

But they weren't ready just yet. Her creations had to be perfect for when the war came...

"Perhaps they've forgotten us. This is true. But we did not create them solely to worship we gods." Tak'tya responded. "For many, I'm certain they were simply meant to reflect a concept. To exist as a work. And they are still succeeding." She added. "Or at least moreso than if we annihilated them."

Before Time

Khasku was on Earth, or rather the Earth that was. It was a bleak world, a grey world, a world without beauty or light. Oh, the other Gods had added some things, like rivers and animals, but the world remained, for the most part, lifeless and dull. She tilted her head upwards, and beheld the dull grey and blue of the sky, punctuated by clouds and the soaring avatars of her fellow deities. Lowering her gaze back to the Earth, she felt something, some strange emotion within her. It was not a particularly happy emotion, no, but it was not anger or sorrow, or any of the multitude of emotions that crowded her mind. Whatever the new emotion was, it stirred within her, growing and overpowering her mood, filling her entirely. She felt......pity. Pity for this poor world of dull greys and browns, pity for the lackluster colors that filled it, pity for the dull and unimaginative animals that scurried and crawled everywhere. Unconsciously, she felt her hand moving, raising itself in the air, as a sudden flash of green light filled the world. As it died down, she felt a sturdy strength in her hand, as an object grew and shifted there, formed from her energy and emotions. Lowering her hand, she stared at the Staff there, marvelling at the supernatural workmanship, and the inherent beauty.

Her feet shuffled in the greyish brown of the newly placed soil as she walked, her staff landing with light thuds beside her, providing a counterpoint. She summoned her energy, and channeled it towards the Earth below her, focusing and directing it as she went. Slowly at first, but then faster and faster, green began to appear behind her. In every footprint sprung a sapling that lifted its branches and soared towards the sky, beckoning the clouds that soared above it. As her long green robes swept behind her, flowers and bushes appeared, blossoming and sprouting to full sized in but a minute. Her power surrounded all these things, shaping and crafting each tree, flower and bush as she went. A mortal, watching from afar, would have seen a massive wave of green sweep across the world, roiling and shifting as it went, covering the soil and dirt of Gemoboa, filling every inch of the world.

And the best was yet to come. Every time her staff tapped the ground, a flash of energy would transform into animals that rushed off into the rapidly growing underbrush. The sounds of elephants trumpeting, wolves snarling, squirrels chattering and frogs croaking filled the air, the cacophony rising up to batter against the very eardrums of the gods.

AD 2012

Khasku smiled fondly as she reminsced about those days, the days when she was filled with a heady sense of power and optimism, when every bird, beast and plant in the world bowed and paid homage to her above all. Shaking herself slightly, she returned to the present day in time to hear Proselyte's question. "what shall we do?" she said, her voice as warm and sunny as a midsummer's day. "I'll tell you what we're going to do, brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews and all the others," she said, waving an idle hand. "We're going to do what we should have done since that insufferable Industrial Revolution of theirs----destroy humanity. After all, what more good are they to us? They no longer worship us, they do not revere us, they do not fear us! Instead, they spend all their time worshipping that usuper, 'God' or whatever it is," she continued, snorting in contempt. "They were amusing at first, a lovely little sideshow, so unpredicatable and random. Amusing at first, but then they turned into a cancer, spreading across the face of my beloved world! Millions, if not billions, of my subjects have been killed and destroyed, with hundreds of species driven to the brink of extinction, their habitats blown up to make way for 'progress'!"

"So, my family, there are two paths before us. Let our work be destroyed, or destroy the cancer. There is no third way, no third path. Be destroyed, or destroy the humans," she said, her voice not shifting from the same warm and sunny tone as before. A slight smile, like that of a loving mother's, spread across her face, but all who beheld it knew that there was no warmth or compassion behind it----there was nothing, except a wall of implacable fury and rage.

Geomboa reached his temple after 3 hours. He entered and the temple guardians went towards him. Geomboa went back to his original form and said, "Halt!" in a language only known to most of the Gods. He slithered through the temple. He and only a few knew the way to the chambers. Those humans who made it through the deadly challenges and mazes, would face the final guardians, which were just copies of the Geomboa. He first checked on the Fang Sceptor and took it. Then he checked and took the Geosphere Orb. He finally put them together to form the Fang Sceptor of the Geosphere. Now, he thought. These are perfectly safe. Geomboa headed for the coast of Venezuela.

Before Time

Kerath made a large blob and starts to change it into something, flipping between his two front sides, until he made three different animals. One for the land, another for the sea, and one for the air, felines, raptors, and cartilaginous fishes, specifically, a cat, a hawk, and a shark.

To Humanity, he gave the gifts of change, individual choice, dissent, and differing opinion. To those he randomly bless, the ability to shapeshift.

For the God of Opposites and Change, it is rather surprising for him to choose something and not change his mind. One of the unchanged things is his gender, which is always male. Another is his artifacts, the Masks of Opposites, for he never part with it like the others. He can let other beings hold it, but they have to wear it to choose between the choices the person has.

AD 2012

"A problem? For you its a problem. Why must we choose to destroy them? We made them, so the consequences are of no matter to us." The side wearing a mask with a tolerating face said then flip to his opposite side.

"We should destroy them and redo everything and we should be there. Not here where they can forget us." The side wearing a mask with a fanatical face said then flip to his opposite side.

"We must give them the benefit of a doubt. I for one never really like to be seen as some all powerful figure anyway." The side wearing a mask with a calm face said then flip to his opposite side.

"If you are all so angry about this, I could bring more change! It'll be better than the Victorian Period! More revolutions! More war! More anarchy! More chaos!" The side wearing a mask with a face of bloodlust said then flip to his opposite side.

"We could influence them slowly. Gradually changing the entirety of them. There would be less war, less chaos, less pollution. Once the positive change reach its apex, it would go down." The side wearing a mask with a face of understanding said.

AD 2012

Seldarine thought to herself that this meeting was yet another pointless argument with every being present trying to establish their dominance upon the others. Do they not realize we are to blame for this failure our struggles against each other will be our down fall and now they want to wage war upon each other just to satisfy their need to feel important? Seldarine felt the anger building but then she returned back to being emotionless dismissing the thoughts from her mind just as easily as they had appeared.

"Is this not just yet another attempt for each of us to try prove our dominance over each other? We must put childish games behind us if we are to survive. I see the destruction of this world or the saving of this world as just yet another plot or attempt to gain the upper hand on each other, all we do is sit in this realm and plot for the downfall of our kind. The humans dream such great things that could rival even what we have created but they still fear for I witness this in their nightmares. I once controlled dreams and nightmares of many creatures but now I am reduced to just humans and a few surviving species from the Creation of this World. While the rest of you have been forgotten I have remained strong for I have not simply given up. The humans may not know my name or I may not be as popular as I once was but I still exist in their dreams and nightmares, that gives me hope that these humans have not forgotten those they deem important,"speaking the words as if they were true but with a tone of amusement present in her voice Seldarine felt as if they had overburden their creations with their demands of worship of to many gods and goddesses.

"Power is a curious thing...Three great men, a king, a priest, and a rich man. Between them stands a common sellsword. Each great man bids the sellsword kill the other two. Who lives, who dies? Power resides where men believe it resides; it's a trick, a shadow on the wall, and a very small man can cast a very large shadow."

Asterdan wrote:"I myself do not wish to destroy this planet." Proselyte added, "Partly, this is simply my great compassion.

After hearing Acolyte mutter something about killing billions of humans just due to their godly whims, Sarah was engulfed by rage. So enraged that she forgot that the one in front of her was supposed to be a god.

"You aren't killing billions of innocent lives and getting away with it! If you really want to know, us Humans may seem stupid and weak, but when we are in front of the common danger, we band together to become a fearsome war machine! We will not surrender at the whims of some obnoxious beings who have no relation to us!" Sarah shouted.
The Indigo Ring glowed even more, as the intensity of her voice augmented.

"We have armies, vehicles, NUKES! And you surely don't know what those things are. We can easily coordinate ourselves with our technology, and even defeat beings like you!"

Merva rolled his eyes at Baupet, carelessly loosening and rebraiding his hair in a gesture of I couldn't care less. He had always had a more human-like form than the rest of them, occasionally enhanced with a pair of feathered wings if he wished to look that little more impressive, or glowing. He did like the odd glow. But apart from that, apart from his downright ethereal beauty (and his humongous amounts of modesty) and the strange, non-specific-gender look he had about him, he certainly did look more of a human. Not that it mattered to him, of course, his intellect was far more important.
"Destroy me? ...Please. I gave them knowledge too, they simply decided to hide it."
He then turned towards the human woman, giving her an equally as bored look.
"We don't 'know' what these things are...? ...Well. I cannot speak for everybody, and certainly not for the more... ignorant"-he glanced at Baupet, smirking-"of us here, but I certainly do. One of my domains is knowledge, after all."

Before Time

Pan'deimos was excited about the prospect of a new world. However, he had not enjoyed Darksk'y's addition, and decided to add a few of his own touches to the other gods creation, without their knowledge. The creatures before him would simply wander the world, providing the gods with a minor sense of entertainment, but Pan'deimos wanted more. Using his power, he changed the creature's biology, giving them the curse of hunger. However, Pan'deimos's conscience caught up with him, and he realized he was not evil enough that he would cause creatures to slowly waste away, at least not without anything to help them, so he gave them another gift, instructions embedded deep into the minds of all creatures that would override all laws placed on them, both helping them survive and ensuring Pan'deimos had something to watch when he was bored. Once the primal instincts of the creatures were in place, he had an idea. A horrible, awful, wonderful idea. He wouldn't just force the denizens of earth to eat the plants that grew across it, no, he would turn them against each other to the point of no return. He seperated a few creatures from the rest, taking care to include both Darksk'y's precious "canines", and the humans he had played an integral role in creating, and planted the instinct of predation into some of the creatures minds, turning them into carivores and omnivores. He laughed and giggled as he thought of how Darksk'y's precious "unity" would play an integral role in how his canines would kill and absorb other creatures. Chaos out of Order, he loved it. He was about to leave, but he suddenly felt a bit of pity for the creatures he had cursed. Struck with a tiny trickle of empathy, he buried another gift in the subconscious instincts he had given them. He would give the creatures' lives meaning, unlike the lives of the gods. These creatures would have something that so far, had been restricted to deities, and they would know and feel the divinity of their gift, even if only subconsciously. He gave them humour and laughter, his favourite things in the world.

2012 AD

God's are immortal, and are infamous for being the most stubborn and unchanging beings in existence. However, over the billions of years in their lifetime, gods can change, even if only subtly. After millions and millions of years, the god that had given humans the gift of laughter would be unrecognizable to Pan'deimos. He had watched the humans and other creatures act on the whims he had given them, and he enjoyed it. The laughter was a nice touch, he admitted, but he wouldn't do it again, a happy human was generally a boring human, though certain humans found other's sadness enjoyable, which Pan'deimos commended them on. His temple travelled the world, looking for someone worthy of his artifact, but the humans had stopped believing in him a long time ago. By the time Proselyte called this recent meeting though, he was thoroughly bored of watching the humans. He needed new entertainment, so when the suggestion was given to destroy the world, Pan'deimos wholeheartedly agreed. "For once in my existence, I agree with Darksk'y. There's nothing wrong with chaos, but these humans are corrupting what we have given them. They have to go, they are imperfect. Hell, they've even corrupted us. The attributes we've given them, love, compassion, empathy, et cetera, they've bled out of them and into us. A million years ago, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. We've become like them. Some of us have even bred with them. The question we're debating here is not "Should we save the humans, or destroy them?", it's "Are we human, or are we gods!" He kept his true reasons to himself, since he knew the other gods would object. Of course, he would keep a few humans to himself, maybe he could turn them into a living chess game, or a foosball table, both games they had created that he had taken a liking to, and play games against Merva. The corruption argument wouldn't last a minute, he was the most "human" of the gods, but he knew that the other god's need to feel superior to anything else would override any feelings for the humans.

"Is that your choice, or the choice you make for others to follow? It seems to me a more progressive space research could be added." He said to the woman before flipping.

"How DARE you try to say that! I can change you country and make it into group of disunited third world kingdoms!" The side wearing a mask with a face of anger said before flipping.

"You should be more patient and try to persuade others instead. Brute force doesn't solve all of the problems." The side wearing a mask with a face of patience said to her.

"Then, God of Knowledge, you surely know what us humans are capable of, in the most desperate of situations. You may know what that nation called America did to end World War 2 without further conventional battles..." Sarah said, before sighing.

"Us humans can't be enslaved freely and without efforts. We can put a fight with everyone who opposes us, and we will not go gently in the night!

Pan'deimos changed from his human shaped disguise to his true form, a fifty foot tall humanoid the colour of chalk and nothing between its skin and its bone, with only one arm, and brought his horrible, enormous yellowy smile and soulless eyes down over Sarah. Despite his nightmarish appearance and endless rage seething just below the surface of his words, he spoke calmly and clearly "Do you really think your "armies" and your "nukes" have any meaning to us? Do you honestly think that you won't surrender when you see our power at its fullest? And another thing, your own argument defeats itself. If wiping out something so far beneath us is an amoral thing for us to do, than it is amoral for you too. Those "billions of innocent lives" have all most likely crushed ants, killed infections and eaten meat, yes? All they are doing is wiping out something that only lives for a tiny moment anyway, something that cannot comprehend, let alone fight, them. That is exactly what we are doing." This "Sarah" seemed like no threat to Pan'deimos, he was only lecturing her for his own sick amusement. "You are just like me." He said, through his misshapen smile. "We created you, you are us. We are the reason you love, we are the reason you hate, I am the reason you hunger for the body parts of other creatures. You both may not and cannot argue with me, so I suggest you go back to leading the pitiful and insignificant pit of debt and bigotry you call a country and wait for judgment day."
