Monfrox exited the game and closed her laptop. "Nah, not feeling it." She said. Suddenly, the pain was back. Only it was in two places this time. Her teeth felt weird and so did her stomach. She fell on the ground and groaned as the final change came onto her. "Oh for fuck's sake, make it stop!" She yelled. She couldn't remember what the last thing was, but hell maybe this would be it. And it was. A combination of changes from the wolf and artifacts were taking place.

He isn't here right now. I was told that he was meeting Dr. VanDelay. Try calling him for NVE's whereabouts.

Swith stirred when the alarm clock blared over the PA. "Turn it off, Bran," she muttered, "and we'll make omelets." Her eyes fluttered open and saw a bloodstained shirt close to her eyes. Swith slowly untangled herself from the warm body next to her and peered into the face of Dr. Arthur VanDelay (psychiatrist!).

"Whew," Swith sighed once she determined they were both still clothed. "Sorry, NVE," she whispered, "but you're much cuter as a velociraptor." She kissed his cheek and slid out of the bedroom, closing the door behind her.

The shower revived her, although her head still hurt from the vodka. She made her way down to the bomb shelter in search of her small suitcase. She noticed Bran and a small smile crossed her lips... he was probably as hung over as she was. She couldn't tell through the gas mask, though. "Morning, Bran," she said and rummaged through her suitcase (which had been kicked under a table) for her toothbrush.

NVE (in his human disguise Dr. Arthur VanDelay) awoke feeling funny. He rubbed his eyes and stretched. "I had the most terrible nightmare. I turned human and wanted to help...them...These aren't my hands?" he said to himself looking at the squishy pink hands. "I guess I wasn't dreaming that." he remarked. "Now why am I in Swith's bed covered in blood? Where is she? OH MY GOD! I ATE HER! MY ONLY FRIEND!" he exclaimed. His panic subsided after hearing Swith in the bathroom. "Good, didn't eat her. That's a relief. Better turn back before the others get suspicious about my whereabouts." NVE told himself. He wrote a note for Swith when she got out of the bathroom.

Dear Swith,

Thanks for the ride last night. I hope waking up next to me didn't startle you, I was just so tired last night. Going to change back before somebody discovers my real identity. We can talk later.

He put the note on her night stand and left for his apartment. On his way he ran into Tsuyoi talking to Scarface in the hallway. She couldn't see him like this, all human in wrinkled bloodstained clothes. What was he suppose to even say.

"Sup Swith, I had the worst headache last night. I guess the hangover set in early for me. Sorry I never made the omlettes I promised, I would have but I was just way too tired to do much of anything. Still want to do the Med clinic? Tsuyoi moved out after about 10 minutes of saying she was completely worthless. I think she went back to her old room."

Star, after sitting outside for along time came back into the hotel and wandered down the halls and then into her room and it was now filled with gadgets of all sorts from her world and she smioled and jumped onto the computer and began to do some research on this planet.

"It's okay. I'm just glad I didn't want a Crystal Thorn artifact. Oh that would've tore me up inside." She said. And then it came again. Monfrox gritted her teeth as she slowly stood up and looked into the sink. The two other artifacts were there still, and now came the last. She forced herself to vomit for the last time and out came a twisted piece of metal. It formed into a black rock that sprang outwards in the sink. The last artifact, Compass, had formed.

A rare artifact – it's been several years since one was found. The artifact can locate gaps in anomaly fields, effectively acting as a compass. It is believed that it can help one traverse the most complex anomaly fields completely unharmed. However, very few know how to handle it properly. Monfrox leaned back and fell onto the floor smiling. The worst had passed, or so she had thought. Her teeth now began to hurt like hell. She grimaced as she sat over the floor. Sickening cracking and snapping sounds were heard as blood trickled out from in between her fingers. Tears of pain streaked down her cheeks as pieces of her teeth fell into her hands.

She leaned to the sink and the Mama's Beads began emitting their effects. The blood stopped and the pain subsided. When she took her hands away and looked in the mirror, she saw that her human canine teeth had been broken and shattered to make room for much larger canine fangs. They looked just like the wolf's that she had seen before. She took in a deep breath and sat down. "I think.....that's enough....for today....." She said, crying still.

Boredom had taken its hold on him, as he had fallen asleep.

"Fucking rich wanker, we'll see who's laughin' now!"

The man dwarfed the child, despite how tall he was for his age. A slap and he was on the ground, face red, on the brink of tears. The man kicked violently, forcefully into his stomach. Suddenly unble to breathe, Shady tried to recover that ability- to no avail.

"Spoiled fucking rich tosser!"

The shoe slammed into his chest, and a nasty crack sounded through the alley. His father had always told him not to go into the Poor District without guards, but who was a dad to a young man? His mistake proved painful. Shady spoke.

"At least...I don't..beg for my keep every day, and I don't beat children! Only...the weak battle those smaller and slower than them, coward! Craven!"

Taunting him the best he could, it earned him four more kicks until a shot rang out. Blood spattered him, and Darius helped him to his feet.

"The district is unfriendly, sire. I reckon it's avoidance."

And suddenly Darius was grimy and filthy, beating him, hitting and kicking. Tears flew freely as Sha-"

"Sir," a voice whispered. It stirred him, despite its low volume.

"Are you alright?" Shady nodded.

"Brandy, if you would."
