Yeah... Starting to feel that the Mods aren't going to respond. :/

It's quite a lot to catch up with, so mods that log on that don't have much time tend to deal with quick issues first. I know I personally tend to log on before I have to work to take care of any lock requests, moves, or one post reports. It looks like this slipped by because of it.

I'm pretty disappointed with the amount of attitude and the amount of snipes I've seen, so there's two things I'd like to address:

1) I'm not going to hand out any official warnings. A few people here should really consider themselves lucky. It seems to have defused somewhat with a few apologies. Whether they were genuine or not isn't something I can comment on from an official standpoint, but it did help to calm things down slightly.

2) Let's not take advantage of OOC threads by filling them with OOC information that's completely irrelevant to the IC thread. This thread is for the organization, preparation, and planning on the IC thread and for any questions concerning it by the involved members. Personal attacks do not belong here, nor does idle chat (Yes, I know, it was to help diffuse the situation, which is why I'm simply making a general response and for future reference for everyone).

Please carry on. Any further posts that inflame the situation will not be given any leniency.

I hardly see why not - we do have a tendency to talk about nothing (but then, that is the entire point of a forum, but I digress), but that nothing is typically involved in some way to Elfen High.

A silly little story about a character fighting monsters is still Elfen High. In fact, I would say that's a very important part of why this is fun.

So, I have to ask - why does it matter? It's an entirely unnecessary rule.

There are chat threads for chat, OOC threads have always been a means to organize the IC thread. Whether that's been enforced as much as it should be is another story.

Aside from that though, as I've said before, there's nothing wrong with keeping on the topic of the discussion of the IC thread with an additional "Hey how are ya?", as long as the thread doesn't devolve into another chat thread that has nothing to do with the IC thread. I'd actually like to see a Portal Chat thread like General and Forum 7 have.
