I was being creative,I know it's not to realistic,but I wanted a resistance RP.
Yeah, but there are plenty of ways to set up an occupation of America without being hyperbolic and unrealistic. As it stand, this kind of sounds like the paranoid delusions of some "Obama/the Democrats will destroy America" zealot. Hell, I can suggest half a dozen decent alternatives right now:
1. The Yellowstone super volcano erupts, destroying, or rendering uninhabitable, a large portion of the western United States. (Have Obama and Biden visiting that area, and thus killed in the resulting destruction, if you really want to drive the disaster home) While the cloud of ash and rock from the explosion is not as bad as scientists might have predicted, the ash still devastates the United States and hurts agriculture in Europe for the next several years, but leaving the rest of the world relatively untouched. (Unnamed hostile power) takes advantage and invades the United States.
2. The Sun lets out a powerful solar flare that knocks out the electronics in the Americas, while leaving the rest of the world relatively untouched, as it was facing away from the Sun at the time. (Unnamed power) mistakes the downing of its satellites for a preemptive first strike by the United States and, in the panic, launches a tactical strike against the United State's weapons stockpiles. Following the confusion, (either the same, or different unnamed power) is able to rally support in its home region against the United States and takes advantage of this disadvantage to invade the United States. (Think Steel Battalion, but without the sh*t controls)
3. Various factions within the United States become increasingly militarized, causing an attempted coup that divides the government and military against itself. (Unnamed hostile power) takes advantage of the lapse in coordination and defense to launch a first strike, and invade.
4. In the wake of a protracted, and particularly disastrous war in Syria, a coalition of (unnamed hostile powers) seeks to take advantage of the war weariness of America and its allies, launching crippling strikes against the militaries of western Europe, and launching a sneak attack when the United States inevitable sends what is left of its military forces to aid its European allies.
5. Major breakthrough(s) in military technology in (unnamed hostile nation) essentially reinvents the gun, allowing for the militarist faction in the government to take power and begin an expansionist policies which include the occupation of the United States. Despite our advanced technologies (or perhaps because of them, if the new technology/ies include(s) a highly advanced computer virus/hacking method) the United States is unable to defeat this foe in conventional warfare, and is thus occupied.
6. The functional equivalent of WWIII occurs, which for some reason does not go nuclear. Despite the best efforts of the United States and its allies, their coalition falls and the United States is occupied by the enemy forces upon the defeat of its army on the Eurasian continent.
Note that all of these are a bit simplistic, and rely much more on misfortune and the hostile nations being much more aggressive, hostile and militaristic that they probably actually are. What they are not, however, is hyperbolic or oversimplified, and they avoid painting any side as a caricature.
